Apologies for the change in user names, remembering login details isn't my forte.

I just wanted to update everyone, that after seven and eight fantastic years together respectively, well from our side, not sure they enjoyed listening to me rant about work too much when I'm working from home on my own! We had to let Abigail and Denny go.

It was the hardest decision to make but ultimately for the best for them. Abigail passed in December following a long illness and we miss her loving nature and readiness to hug and cuddle you no matter what type of day you had. If it was best she would celebrate it with you, if it was the worst she would let you know it would be alright. Denny, who passed yesterday, well he just told you you'd either won, or that you weren't out of the fight, get up and get back in the ring. He was more rougeish than a 70's bond villain, but you just had to love him for it.

If you look at the photos, between them they watched my young children grow into men. Witnessed many great moments in their lives and will be very much missed by us all.

I'm not sure if its Denny or what but he seems to think the water sprayer is just a easy way of being provided with a drink.

So sorry to hear you lost both your parents in such a short space of time. xxx

Its a small world this greyhound one. We were out at Pets at Home and the Hall Green Trust had a stand. On the stand was my Mom's best friend with her daughter and William her 3 yr old hound. I haven't seen Sue since my Mom's funeral last Jan, Mom died 25th December 2011, as Sue couldn't make my Dads funeral last May, he died in may. So at 36 I had lost both my parents. Maybe Denny is helping me a bit too after last year.

Denny seems to be doing really well , he has eaten well all things considered. He has enjoyed a couple of small walks today. Bleeding seems to have stoPped aswell. He is going to be feeling so much better soon without those nasty teeth bless him. The vet said he was a very brave boy for a greyhound ! :-) xx

Ooh, poor lad, I hope Denny is feeling better today. Well done to James for taking great care of him. xxx

Denny went to the vets today for his dental and had to have 22 out of his 28 teeth taken out, poor little dude.
He has just polished off his first scrambled egg, which is better than eating a sheppards pie meant for four, which was his party piece last weekend.
James, our 10 year old volunteered to sleep on the couch next to him tonight to keep him company.

It's great to hear how well Denny doing and how happy you all are. Don't worry about him not barking. A lot of greys don't. Out of 5 we have had at home we have only heard 2 of them ever bark.

Hi , a quick Denny update. He is settling in really well no accidents , he is more or less glued to our sides in the day but at night he settles down on his bed in the living room.We have yet to hear him bark ??? He is a very calm dog at the moment and has only chewed a couple of things ( including his muzzle ) which was our fault for leaving it out !! He just loves everyone and his food !.He is a pleasure to have in the family thankyou x x

Well, in honour of Denny, I've had put on my PJ's, got my duvet and got some Bush Mills single malt!

Helen and the kids went up stairs for a bath, I went out to the shop and Denny just curled up.

Jack got upset and started crying about Denny being on his own at night. Afraid that Denny would think that no-one loved him. Kids you have to love them don't you.

Bed time tips- pj's, duvet, bed & a short whiskey as for Denny....... x x

Well, so far:

- the cat has told him who is in charge
- the rat told that the cat was wrong and that the rat was in charge
- he went straight outside and went toity
- then went for a short walk to show off his new coat
- had his tea
- now relaxing with in front of the fire.

Anyone got any bed time tips?

I think all the boys are going to have a great time.He is such a handsome,happy boy.

he as been out in the garden twice to the toilet and now he is just sat down doing nothing we are so exited !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it will be really fun

Met the beautiful Denny today and spent a couple of hours with him. He seems such a gentle lad and hope he will be very happy in his new home with us all and our 2 cats x x

Reserved?!?! I'm obviously pleased this super pooch reserved but that means he won't be coming to stay with us. I felt (selfishly) very sad about this. I knew he would find a home soon. Helen x

We came to adopt Henry today and I met Denny and am still thinking about him now. There was something so gentle and kind about him that I wanted to take him home with us. If he hasn't been rehomed very soon, we have asked to foster Denny in order to report how he is in a home and family environment.......and to give him lots and lots of cuddles! Helen and family x

Enjoyed a lovely walk with this beautiful boy today. He was quite alert and carried both ears upright all the time we were out, but walks nicely and doesn't pull. The barking labs were out at the farm, and he didn't bother at all, just carried on past. Such a sweetheart. x

Denny sounds like a happy lad, gorgeous looking too! xxx
