Sadly we had to say goodbye to Melody last Friday.We hope she enjoyed living with us as much as we enjoyed being with her.Our first ever dog,she had a lovely personality, and we were distraught to have to let her go.As they say, don't be sad because she's gone, be happy because you knew her

Mels just flopped out now!she looks very tired. She'll probably get exited for a walk in a minute. I have found that she puts her head down when she is about to charge. Please give Melody more cuddles as she really deserves them.

We're still going through the meal time thing with Yeuna - she'll come to the table while we're eating - we ignore her and she eventually goes and lays down - the other two don't bother us at all when we're eating & we did the same with them

Took Melody up the steepest path I can manage on the Malvern Hills -she loves rubbing her face in the snow too.

Need to sort a strategy for mealtimes -is persuading her to go to her bed whilst we eat ,the best starting point?

First night sorted. Lots of positives -fine in the car ,fine in the house , toiletting outside , a little bit of crying at night,but each mealtime she's getting better at knowing which food is ours and which is hers. Lots of walks already despite the cold.Thanks DayBreaks for your help and support.

Thank you Caz. Yeuna was lovely and very welcome to a spot on our couch. We can now look forward to Melody joining us to start our new journey together x

Yeuna came with us to do the home check, she was very relaxed (in fact we had to drag her off the sofa to go home!) and we're sure Melody will feel the same - she's a very lucky girl to be going to such a lovely family x

I think Melody passed her 'cat test' on Friday when we all came to visit - respect to the rescue cats for sitting still while they get sniffed by a series of different greys.

Nothing warms your heart on a cold snowy Friday like helping to walk a grey.Also chills you out quite effectively.

Just finished a week of volunteering at the Kennals so will miss you melody but you will have a great family to live with soon best wishes Simon, Louise and Jack x
