My partner has totally fallen for Poppy (as she is now called) and my mum very kindly said that she would look after her for him whilst we are away at university.

She gets on brilliantly with everybody in the house and despite her rather dainty appearance she is no pushover - Minnie was rather taken aback the first time she was the one being told off for lying down on the rug! There is always going to be the odd mumble and grumble between dogs (especially when one of them is Minnie) but they both respect each other's space and when sleeping locations are not involved they are firm friends.

Poppy really has come out of her shell so much during her time with us. She is much less shy and is eating normal sized meals instead of the five mouthfuls that she ate on her first couple of days here. She loves her toys, especially the fluffy ones that are fun to throw around, and has started to come up for cuddles - something that she didn't do at all initially.

I'm not at all surprised that Martin fell for her, nor can I say that I am upset about it, as I had rather fallen for her as well. :)

Sarah have you got any news for me- haven,t been to the kennels for over a week as my girl Sarah has had food poisoning I was sure the bunny ears would do the trick

Sarah has been with me for just over a day now and she has proved herself to be a very sweet little dog. She has settled in with my three excellently and there have been no grumbles or complaints whatsoever.

There were no accidents in the house overnight although there has been the odd one in the hallway since. I think this will just be a matter of vigilance on my behalf though and ensuring that she is let out to the back garden very frequently throughout the day so that she gets the idea.

This morning she had a wonderful time flinging around the fluffy toys and enjoyed batting a tennis ball across the lounge floor. I hope that she will become more confident the longer she stays here as at the moment she can be a little shy sometimes.

I have had to temporarily change her name to Poppy as our cat is called Sarah too, so when I called the dog in the garden the cat appeared as well. I usually only call the cat when it is food time and the garden is dog free - I didn't really think it was fair on the cat to keep being called by mistake.

Overall Sarah / Poppy is a little treasure of a dog and a pleasure to have around. :)

i was only kidding about the easter bonnet but having seen the bunny ears i think that is definately a winner- you wear those to the roadshow and you are bound to find that forever sofa as quick as a flash- good luck little girl xx

Oh I just love this little girl she is just the most adorable little thing, I love all the greys but the big boys have a special place in my heart NORMALLY but this little girl has really got to me, when I came to the kennels last week I just fell in love with her, she is so small, really playful and such a happy girl,how can anyone resist her !! Good luck Sarah I hope the easter bunny brings you a forever sofa x

Sarah was taken by Maddy yesterday, one of our volunteers so she can go to the roadshow today - good luck little one. Being small, quiet and cat friendly should find you a home quite soon I hope! She was our Easter Bunny yesterday! :-)

I had thought little Sarah would be in a foster home today. I saw Sarah on Saturday, lovely litttle girl. Just wanted some love. I'll keep my eye out for a red, blue or green rectangle-I'm sure Sarah will be in someone's home very soon.

Sarah does look a little unsure in her photo, hope she will soon settle down and her confidence will grow. xxx
