Just so sorry to read that you have lost your darling girl, she clearly was very loved, and brought a lot of Joy into your lives, I know only too well how hard it is to say goodbye to our furbabies, but I try to focus on all the good times, your little girl will only be a heartbeat away, take care xxxxx

The post I never wanted to write. We had to say goodbye to our beautiful Nina a few weeks ago but I could not face doing this until now. She was a scared little girl when we took her home, having raced until she was six. It took a long time for her to come out of her shell and we always allowed her to live life on her terms. She remained timid but was full of character with the few people she trusted. It was an honour and a privilege to look after this beautiful soul. Rest easy darling girl xx

We have finally signed on the dotted line for Nina. She is a lovely little girl but still very nervous in new situations. We took her back to Daybreaks today and she went straight into an empty kennel so that is possibly still where she feels most at home. But, we took her for a walk with Rooney and she trotted along very happily with him, so maybe she will be happier with a nice handsome young man in her life! Jane, Joe, Foxy, Badger, Nina and soon to be renamed Rooney xx

We brought Lena / Nina home as she was a very scared little girl and my husband is a sucker for a damsel in distress. She has spent most of the last three weeks in her den behind a chair but is slowly gaining in confidence and is currently on the sofa with myself and Badger. But she is fine with the other dogs and loves to play in the garden with her two sisters.

Lena was kindly taken to the vets yesterday by Roy where she was speyed yesterday. She was collected by Lorna and Paul which I am grateful for as I had to rush Joe off to the vets again as he is having problems with his throat again :-(

She came in, found her bed and settled. She is really becoming so brave and wanders up to us now without being frightened. She has had a very quiet settled night and has been totally clean - taking herself out into the garden if she needs to go. Clever girl!

I was very fortunate to meet beautiful little Lena at Ruth and Rob's house last night. It was lovely to see how welcome the Boswell babes made her. The two gentlemmen who brought her over were so nice and really want the best for her. They did say she had ran 137 races! xxx

Just had a look at her racing history .. this girl ran either 149 or 137 times (depending on which bit of GD you read) so she really deserves her sofa and she was in the first three over 80 times :)

Oh lovely .. the Boswell pack will show her how to behave and to relax tho maybe keep her away from Foxy LOL (don't mean it really ). How nice her owner brought her to us for rehoming :) Julie xx

Lena had a very quiet settled night - she is off to be speyed today and will be back at our house tonight until she is back on her feet x She is a little nervous but came up to me for a quick sniff and then darted off again!!!! :-)

Arr Ruth she looks adorable and wow there are so many girls arriving, I think the boys will have to brace themselves !! its going to be girl power at Daybreaks !!

This little treasure has been brought to our house by her trainer/owner from Nottingham. She is just adorable - a bit nervous but she soon settled with the company of our greys. She ate her dinner, took herself straight outside for a wee and then went into the crate and settled down. She is beautiful x She is booked to be neutered tomorrow so no breakfast for her :-((((
