Apologies to anybody who visits Daybreaks today and is serenaded by our boy Jonty. He loves the sound of his own voice unfortunately, and is living proof that you rarely get brains and beauty in the same package..... But don't let him put you off if you are new to greyhounds, nearly all are a lot quieter than he is! Xx

Happy birthday to our big blue idiot, Jonty. I have had a chat with him today and told him he is now a big boy and needs to start acting like one but I don't think he has taken much notice. Has anyone got any earplugs they don't need?

We have finally signed on the dotted line for Jonty. He is not quite the masterful male that Joe envisaged, more of a big daft lump who is led into endless trouble by his much brighter big sister, Badger. They are generally referred to as 'that pair of muppets' which seems to sum them up. He is a very vocal chap (Ruth said that would stop as soon as he was in a home ha ha) and is the most unusual chocolate brown with silver tipped ears, despite his official colour being blue! Love Jane, Joe, Badger, Nina and Jonty xx

Yes we have been well and truly stitched up by Mrs B, but I was already regretting the 'foster' conversation by the time we got home. He is such a lovely boy, twice as big as he looked in kennels but seems to be a real softie. We have named him Jonty, the current Jonti in kennels reminded us of a sporting hero of ours (Jonty Rhodes) and I just think it is a lovely name. But from Rooney it could only get better! So now love from Jane, Joe, Foxy, Badger, Nina and Jonty xx And we definitely are not adding any more..............

Rooney this is such good news my lovely! I love the way you were only supposed to be fostered - but let's face it, who could resist your charms! Be a good boy and enjoy your lovely new home - best wishes to everyone. xx

I think we need a 'I would like to trial to see how it goes but I am going to keep him anyway ha ha' button - what do you think?! Love you Padstow Joe and Jane :-) :-) :-) :-) x

Now this is interesting... when we were at the kennels today I said to Ruth 'can we call Rooney a foster for now' and she agreed, and the website said 'fostered'. A few hours later he has mysteriously changed to 'reserved'. I think she knows us too well! Very little chance of him being returned I think, he is a lovely boy and our 3 girls all seem to be very chilled around him. Just got to find him a new name................ Jane, Joe, Foxy, Badger, Nina and ??? xx

Rooney went to Melbicks today, he was very well behaved although he got a little vocal when he saw another dog he was easily distracted, he had lots of cuddles from children and loved it! Such an adorable boy.

Rooney is a gorgeous boy, loves a cuddle. He is great to take for a walk...just not keen on being in a kennel. He needs someone to fall in love with him and take him home. xxx

Julez1, I would say that, judging by Rooney's reaction when we spotted a cat in the lane whilst out walking this morning, he isn't cat friendly!! He hasn't been properly cat tested yet though, but he can also be quite excitable when the Labs at the farm are out and barking. In every other way he is a lovely boy, very friendly and he loves fuss and company.
