Max (Ooaar Les Says)
1st May 2009 - 21st May 2021

My Sister Pam had to say Goodbye to her beloved Max today. We are very grateful to the vet for arranging it so we could both be with him when he slipped peacefully away in my car. Xxx
Very sadly old age caught up with him and he is now at Rainbow Bridge playing in the sun with members of our Greyhound family who have gone before, Stan, Twiggy, Mannie and Bobby. Xxx

Max was a super lad who was very much loved and adored. He loved his walks, his holidays to Woolacombe with his Greyhound mates. He made us laugh when he used to tell my Fletch and Lyra off when their playing annoyed him! :)) Max had his bed positioned right next to the sofa so he could receive fuss on demand. :)) I know Pam, Terry and the whole of our family will miss him terribly. I hope all the happy memories they have of his life with them will be a comfort at this sad time. God Bless you handsome Max. Always in our hearts. Xxx

Max is with cousin Twiggy on his first holiday in Devon. Everything is so exciting to him, his ears are constantly standing to attention! Facinated by the sea....can't wait to take him down on the beach. Xxx

Max met Twiggy and Mannie today. Max is such a lovely sweet boy and relaxed straight away but Mannie didn't settle at all and Twiggy was slightly cautious at first. Twiggy had a right shout at poor little Max and to our surprise Mannie had a bit of growl to which was unusual as he fine with other greys whenever we've met them. Max didn't seem to care that the other two were a bit apprehensive and gladly let them say hello and relaxed well. After a few more meetings they should be much better together. He's such a lovely and handsome lad.

Delighted for Max, he is such a lovely boy. Hope his meeting with Twiggy goes well! X

So happy for lovely Max and my Sister! So excited we have a new addition in the family. He just has to meet my grumpy pants Twiggy tomorrow, wish him luck!! Xxx

Max went to Brueton Park this morning and behaved absolutely fantastic. He met several small dogs and came into close contact with them with no problem whatsoever. A pack of 5 loose dogs approached him and although a bit cautious of them at first, relaxed and was fine with them once he knew they were friendly. He is perfect with people and children and would make a perfect pet once in a home.

Hello Gorgeous. That colouring and those eyes. Could do with help in teh garden but have 2 cats. Will give you my cuddle instead.

Gave Max a bit of a cuddle today, he loves a fuss and just stands quietly to have his ears tickled. He is the most gorgeous dark chocolate colour.x

Max (or as we called him, Mr Darcy) is just the loveliest boy. He is so quiet and calm - there is just something very special about how he is around people.

He settled down at my house very fast and spent most of the day crashed out in front of the fan with his cool coat on. Max also loved coming up for cuddles and fuss, he'd just rest his head on you and look like he was dozing off.

Whoever adopts Max in the end will be very lucky - he is just fab!

I have to confess that I keep coming back to the website to look at Max, we fell in love with him yesterday and I feel so sad that he did not react well to the cats- we were so close to deciding to give him a home! I really hope he finds one soon! Cuddles to you again Max x x

Yes, Max really is a gentle giant. A big, strong boy - he is very friendly and can be a bit cheeky too! Cuddles my lovely boy. xx

Max is lovely....he had great fun trying to pull the flowers out of the tubs today! If you are looking for a gardening companion, Max is the boy for you! Xxx
