Flo (Judy)

female, 15 years old, Brindle

Updated: Monday 01 Jan

Judy is very affectionate and good with other dogs. She is getting better with cats her trainer tells us. She is quite good with older children but has no experience of younger children her trainer tells us. She loves her walks and attention.

Flo (Judy) has had 0 cuddles today (15 all together).
If you register or login, you can give her a cuddle too!

I think an update on how my Flo is doing is well over due so here goes....she's been living here for 6 months now and has settled brilliantly. She's still a monkey on times but is great fun and very friendly, she loves everyone she meets. We did go to Julie's training classes for a few months which Flo loved but she's started refusing to get in the car so we've had to stop that. She's been good with other dogs and doesn't seem bothered by cats when we see them, I wouldn't leave her alone with one though! She's been running in the park this morning with her greyhound friend and is still flat out (on her back with her teeth showing obviously), think she's finally learnt that greyhounds like to sleep! Hopefully we'll be at the next sutton park walk, we went to the last one which was great so fingers crossed she'll get in the car.

Flo has been living with me for 4 weeks now so thought it was time for an update....
She's settled really well. Her favourite things are eating, going for walks, killing her cuddly toys, having cuddles and sleeping in funny positions. She likes to show off her lovely toothy grin too! She can be a little monkey on times but I can't imagine life without her now, she's fantastic. Hopefully we'll see you at the Sutton Park walk.

I brought Judy...now named Flo...home today and she's settling well. She's been to the park and met couple of dogs, some ducks and saw loads of squirrels - they seem to be her favourite thing. She's now fast asleep on the sofa next me, don't fancy my chances of getting her to use the nice bed I bought her!

I'm so pleased that the lovely Judy has been reserved, she's an absolute treasure. Looks like I'll have to find a different dog to take out for the morning on Sunday now.

Judy is such a good girl she got on straight away with my little grey girl- they both sat beautifully in the car together and once she got to the dog show she was so well behaved just watching all that was going on. I know a few people came over to see her so let's hope over the next few days we get some good news- well done my lovely xx

This little girl is a perfect princess she is very affectionate, she will come over and lick your hand which means give me a fuss -I agree with everybody else if she was in a home environment I think she would be in her element and would settle very quickly and be just a super dog xx

I am so glad Judy had a lovely morning out with you LucyandTinkersmum. You're so right, she is like many who don't show themselves at their best in a kennel environment - but get them out in a home and they are completely different, Sparky was a prime example of that (ok, I may be slightly biased!! but he was also a barker in the kennels but like a different dog at home in lots of ways). She is a darling and just needs someone to give her a chance. Fingers crossed for her. xx

We collected Judy from the kennels on Sunday morning so that she could spend the morning walking in the fields with our greys. She was an absolute angel! She was great in the house and great with our two greys, Lucy 9 and Tinker 5. She was good on the lead but likes to be at the front so will pull a bit if she isn't. Unfortunately, she's probably putting people off a bit with her barking whilst in the kennels but we never heard a peep out of her all morning. All she wants is a bit of fuss and attention - but then don't we all. If we hadn't just adopted our second grey, I would have had trouble bringing her back.

Judy had a busy day in Warwick making guest appearances at both Morrisons and Pets at Home. She was fantastic when meeting all adults and children large and small.
She was after initial curiosity fine with larger other breeds but may need a little more time to understand the smaller versions.
An extremely loving and affectionate girl who travelled perfectly in the car.
