Thank you everyone. Maisie is settling in well and even went and stood by the back door this morning- asking for weewees!She has discovered the sofa but not the stairs yet. At least this gives Pedro (the cat) some space, he is very wary at the moment!! She is a bit of a handful on a walk due to utter over-excitement so have borrowed a halter, and she had a nice uneventful walk with Auntie Zoe and Uncle Steve today. Nothing can ever replace my beautiful Pippa but Maisie definitely helps xx

So pleased for you Hayley, out of tragedy comes something good and that's another lovely greyhound who gets to have a happy home in retirement. I can't agree more with what Deb has said already. We only get one crack at this life so best to fill it with happy times.

Oh and you were so right Kate! What a lovely black girl she is. But then she has a lot going for her....she is half sister to fatharry's Ben (Monkspath Mumbai) who did so well at GGG earlier this year (and who I must say was impeccably behaved on his first visit to a Melbicks roadshow yesterday).
This makes her related also to our Lena.....who was on the hunt yesterday at Melbicks for anyone with either furry toys or furry hats and scarves, furry boots....etc ;) I hope Maisie is more like Ben ....... xx
