Beautiful Cassie arrived with lovely Belle for the Stratford walk today. With her sweet nature and pretty looks she was a sensation and received much love and attention. Although initially a little shy (of course, to be expected) she soon came out of her shell and seemed to enjoy all the fuss, and a nice, long walk. She was very well behaved and walked nicely on the lead. Perfect. Wishing you a forever home in time for Christmas Cassie.xxx

Congratulations Cassey on getting a foster home !! you have been playing on my mind so much I have not really been able to think about anything else, trying to figure out how we could take three to work etc etc !!! so I am so relived that you are in a Foster home, you look like a cross between my lovely old dog charlie and Bertie !! anyway just fantastic news , really cheered me up :)

Cassie went to her new foster home today travelling perfectly in the car.
She met her new companions (greys and non grey) with no issues whatsoever.
She is very bewildered and nervous at the moment but I'm sure that once settled into a new permanent home her true loving gentle nature will be discovered by the lucky family that adopts her.
She will be coming to the Stratford Walk this Sunday and anyone who would like to come along and meet this beautiful girl will be very welcome to do so.

I am a big supporter of black greyhound boys because they seem to be overlooked and should I be allowed another dog that would be my choice however looking at the new photo's this girl has to be one of the most stunning and prettiest greyhounds ever to grace Daybreaks.Hopefully with the help of Lena and Lola this gorgeous girl might get a new home for Christmas.

Our Emily is 6½ years - I wish she would slow down! She's still as lively today as she was when we first had her at 3 years. Cassie looks such a sweet little thing, there's a family out there for her, they just don't know it yet. Mand x

Poor Cassie. She sounds totally bewildered by all the change in her life I suppose. She is totally gorgeous so I hope she gets a home very soon. Anyone worried about the fact that she is 7 (because they think a younger dog is preferable) should take a leaf out of the book of the lovely family who recently adopted Cheeky (now Kiki) anothere returnee at 10 years old. She is their first greyhound and has brought them so much joy it is wonderful , and to see her in the home environment its like she has been there forever. So the older dogs still have so much to give.
Anyway....we will be at Melbicks on Sunday with Lola & Lena doing our best to encourage any 'would be' greyhound owners to take the plunge - sooner rather than later!!

Cassie gets my cuddle this morning, what a beautiful photo, I really do home she gets a new home for Christmas.

Cassie has been coming home with me as she was so stressed at the kennels. She is so good - great with my 6 greys, totally house trained, can be left (we were out last night and got home in the early hours and she just slept all evening on the window seat and didn't move!). She is a bit fickle with her eating as she will run away from her bowl if things distract her - I just feel so sad for her. x

Absolutely heartbreaking for you and ellie. Goodness knows what they are feeling. I look at my two 10 and a half year olds, a five year old and six year old. I know I would move heaven and earth to keep them with me. Really hope you can both find a new home together. Sincerely, wished I could help. x x

I met these two gorgeous girls on Sunday too and poor Cassie was quite stressed. I gave her lots of cuddles and although she wouldn't eat her brekkie, she took some sausages from me!! Keeping fingers crossed someone will give them a loving home together. xx

What really lovely girls these two are Cassie was very stressed when i first got there today but after giving her cuddle and treat she was looking a bit more chilled bless them xxx

Gosh I dont really know where to start with this post !! I have just returned back from the kennels this morning where I met Cassie and Ellie, just heart breaking after being in a home for so long to end up back in kennels, they were totally confused, Ellie not wanting to come out of her kennel run and both of them not eating !! the lovely volenteers were giving them so much love and I know they will be really well cared for but they have lost their home and just cannot understand why the change !! I left feeling so sad and I just hope that someone offers them a home soon ( long conversation with husband on way home ) but it would not be practical for us to have three at the moment !!!! they are such pretty girls, if anyone is looking for a perfect greyhound then these two fit the bill, totally beautiful, housetrained and so much more ( I could go on and on ) I just pray that they find a home really soon, someone has let go of two amazing little hounds :(
