it is with a heavy heart that i have to tell you all that mikey passed away in my arms today he was a truly a wonderful dog i will be forever greatful to tina for bringing him into our lives run free with duffy big man xxxxxxx

I,m still shocked I now have 4 lovely greys and Mikey,s personality is starting to come out now- when we come down in the morning he nearly jumps as high as the ceiling and he comes to his name when called and loves his crafty cuddles -still seems a little reserved despite my reassurance but I think given a little more time he will realise that he is stopping for good and you,all see him loads at the kennels for anyone who wants to come and give him a hug xx

saw Sarah yesterday and she is so excited and happy about the new addition to your family all you need now is a blue one and you will have a full set. Mikey is a very lucky boy.

I just wanted to send a special message out to tina- bringing Mikey to us was the best thing u ever did he,s eating much better today although we've had to resort to putting pilchards in with his burns- he is so settled it,s as though he,s been here for ever -we have nicknamed him the mellow yellow man and he is sending everyone especially auntie Tina a and auntie Ruth big hugs and kisses xxxxxxxx

I had the sad task of collecting Mikey yesterday morning. I was very disappointed that after 2 months he hadn't been officially adopted. I took him for a lovely big walk with mine at Sutton Park as I knew I'd be leaving him at the kennels with a heavy heart.
We'd only been back half hour when he'd been introduced to his new friends and he was visibly happy.
When I heard that he was going to stay permanently I was elated. I truly believe in the timing of events in our lives and things happening for a reason. Mikey you were destined to be part of Sarah's family.
What a turnaround. Tears of sadness yesterday and tears of joy this morning. Big hugs Mikey. Xxxx

hi folks as ruth said i,m a terrible failure but truth be told not only did this boy melt my heart hubby absolutely loves him too. in my defense it was my 3 dogs that helped to seal the deal they have just accepted him straight in- ruth doesn,t know this yet but we are actually coming up this morning to sign the papers and just to let you all know his new name is mikey oh and ps i got up this morning to walk him at 4.30 am so it must be love

Sadly Michael is back at the kennels today. He has been out on trial with Carol one of our volunteers. Unfortunately Carol has found him to be too strong on the lead for her to manage. She was so upset at having to return him and would like to say he is a wonderful happy boy. He has got on extremely well with her other Greyhound. Clean in the house. sleeps through the night and is a quick learner, in fact pretty much perfect! Xxx

What can I say, such a beautiful big boy. Absolutely love Crofty. Took him and Crofty to Elmdon Park this morning. He is a really strong boy which worried my husband to start with but we shouldn't have worried as he was really good on the lead and didn't pull at all. We saw lots of ducks and geese and unlike my grey, he didn''t bat an eyelid and completely ignored them - even stood in front of them for a photo. On the way back to the car a number of small dogs of varying breeds, all off the lead, approached him. He did become excited and started wimpering but showed no aggression and we got the impression he was only upset because he couldn't go and join in the fun. Hope you find your forever home soon as you would make a lovely companion.

Went to the kennels and had a lovely walk with Michael.
We (Jay, Amber, Ellie, Josh and Myself) had a lovely walk down the lane. Everything said about Michaels good behaviour is spot on. He took no notice of the barking dogs at the farm and apart from a little excitement when putting his lead on he was a perfect gentleman.
I'm still working on Jan but unfortunately she is still doing her Margaret Thatcher "the lady is not for turning" routine, even when Ruth suggested the fostering option..... ho hum

Had a cuddle with Michael today, he is fabulous. I am so tempted to have a trial and see how he get on with Jay and Amber, Jan says no but I am working on her. If not someone will have a stunning addition to their family.

So today I met Michael! He's a big boy!! First I was a little scared of him, I tried to put his lead on...many attempts.. lol he was SO happy he just ran around me like crazy!! He's such a happy chappy! And the best thing is he is so great on the lead, he walked so calm and slowly for me, which i did not expect at all!! So anyway he's fantastic I think he would make a great adition to a family and the best thing is he's extreamly handsome too! Xx :-D

Gosh this boy is a stunner. Granted he is a big, strong lad - but he is very friendly and happy and loves to be out on a walk and, for such a big boy, is good on his lead and very easy to walk.xx

Michael greeted me with a very wagging tail today, he happily let me fuss him and was well behaved on his afternoon walk. I'm sure that his hansom features will catch somebodys attention very quickly!
