Met the lovely Katie at yesterday's Kingsbury Waterpark walk with Champ. Such a stunning lovely girl xxx

Whilst at Crufts on Thursday we were chatting to the Whippet group who invited us to visit them today as they practiced only a couple of miles from our house. All though Katie towered above all the other dogs her behavior was impeccable! She got the chance to have her first run off the lead with two sessions chasing the lure, we were completely stunned to see just how fast she can run! She thoroughly enjoyed herself and is now curled up in her bed, feet twitching away in dreamland!

So pleased to hear Katie is doing ok, please give her a hug from me. Xxx

Katie had her lump successfully removed yesterday. It was very strange to see her before the anesthetic had worn off, completely spaced out! She's a little sore and needs lots of fuss,love and reassurance. But we think she will back to her cheeky self soon.

Oh Kitty ( or should I say Katie Koo !!) good luck for your op I know you will have lots of love and attension afterwards, I know its impossible not to worry but we met Lou Lou at the vets the other day and she has just had the same op, in no time she was happily running around like nothing had happened ( Bertie has fallen in love with her ) if only they knew the worry we go through for them ha ha, my pair dont seem to be able to go for very long without some sort of mishap !! good luck Kate xx

Katie (Ex Kitty) has developed a lump on one her nipples over the last few days, so dad took her off to see our nice vet today. After looking at the internet to see what the problem could be, we were very worried at the possible outcome! thankfully the vet has advised me that the lump is benign and it will be removed next Wednesday. I now have a tired dog (Sleeping on her new outdoor summer bed) and a stressed wife!

It was good to meet you today on the Stratford dog walk. Kitty is lovely x

Well i think that most of you guessed that Kitty's forever home would be ours. We have both fallen in love with her! Kitty has now got dad's credit card, and will be heading to the shops this weekend for some stylish outfits, accessories and a pampering session at Daybreaks. But she won't be a spoiled girl as training begins soon! How far you have come since Paul & I talked to you in Melbicks (was it only in November?) when you were thinking of having a greyhound once you got the house sorted out. Guess you have either worked very fast or realised just how adaptable these lovely dogs can be, not to mention that Kittly will have stolen your hearts! The amazing thing is that Lena's antics at Melbicks didn't put you off at all ;-) All the very best to you and your new addition xxxx

Umm Martyn I know how hard it is when they make their mind up, blade used to sleep with his previous owner and so bedtime was difficult for a time, then Bertie who had been happy to sleep where he had since we had him, got unsettled by blade and joined in as well !,, it took a few weeks for them to totally settle into their bedtime routine, but thankfully now they settled and we don't go to bed feeling like horrid parents !!

Is Kitty good around children?

Kitty won't get around Karen that easily, as she is to heavy for Karen to pick up. Last night we had a an hour session of crying at the new stair gate when we went to bed, its not easy to ignore her. But she is now lying on her back looking cute wanting her tummy rubbing!

Oh Kitty Koo , you have got to hand it her her Martyn, she is not stupid ha ha, Kitty will have you trained in no time !!!!! :)
Ps she probably thinks if I pretend I cannot get down the stairs, I will be carried !!! Our two have us trained to lift them into the car as they pretend they cannot jump !! However when I put treats in their food bowl they jump so high they nearly hit the ceiling ..... Ummmmm

Um, Kitty seems to be making herself right at home! I'm glad that she is being a good girl for you and you are enjoying the greyhound experience - watch out though, you'll soon be hooked! x

Today was Kittys first day at home, whilst mum & dad had to go and earn a crust. On return our little girl surprised us by her absence! She had discovered that stairs could be negotiated and big comfy king size beds are an ideal place to have a snooze! Kitty hasn't learnt to come back down on her own though, so dad has had to go out and buy a stair-gate, much to kittys disgust!

Kittys real personality is starting to show its self in leaps and bounds. We have now experienced for the first time, a happy greyhound racing around the garden,and her ability to pounce on and kill slippers is most impressive, and yet she is so gentle and patient with her foster mum and dad, whilst they get to grips with having this affectionate girl living with them.

What a lovely Christmas Day for Kitty. Xxx

Kitty is currently snoozing in front of the telly, she has had her afternoon meal and a long walk, even bumping into DeeDee who was a Daybreaks adoptee. So far so good!
