Dodger came on the walk today oh my he is an absolute stunner .He seems so chilled and happy with his new mum and dad leaning across anyone who stood still. Watch out if he is entered into any classes at the October show he will be the one to beat.

Cooper ( now Dodger ) is behaving beautifully around other dogs now..... Giving him a little more space, and lots of happy noises.... What a gentleman!! He has surprised us every step of the way.... He only needs to be taught something once, and he has 'got it' I can put a sandwich on the coffee table, and say very gently 'No' and he backs off!!!! My gosh this boy is special. I thought sherley was out of sorts the last few days..... And wondered wether she was missing out on affection... Really quiet and subdued..... But whilst I was at work, she was sick....... And is absolutely fine now! Phew:) my beautiful angels are now snoring on their duvets .......happy days:):)

Our boy Archive has been doing the same thing to poor Breeze.... at least i know am not the only person in the world wandering around with a torch!! the look on her face she would have rung Auntie Ruth to come get her. Last straw was Fri had washed all their bed covers and blankets steamed all the beds and pillows, they went out Breeze come running back in rolled on her back on the bed, (her prefered way to have her feet dryed nd the mud removed) And you guessed it !!! Archive went to the vets yesterday!! Hoping that will help in the long run, in the mean time will b thinking of you 2slimdogs.Xxx

Well! I read Ctoftys new mom's tales of his 'settling in' and I thought how lucky we were that cooper hadn't eaten my phone, remote control..... Or sent cups of tea flying..........HA!!! Cooper must have read Croft'y's tales too............. Came home today to find a shredded book (entitled '50 ways to make your dog smile'. (Yes honestly) and a very chewed sky remote control...... Both on his bed! Bless him! We love this dog to bits, and will work through anything he throws at us:) the 'marking' has stopped...... Although he has started weeing up sherley in the garden, ( poor girl, so undignified!!) but funny:) ( yes of course we are stopping this....... Walking around garden in dressing gown guarding sherley from the yellow shower...... )Gotta see the funny side! It's ok thought, the mangled remote control still works a treat!

Hi Trudi. So pleased you have the photos. I have lost all contacts on my phone before now, I know how you feel - it's so frustrating. Over the moon that you will be adopting this lovely boy. He has a wonderful new Mum and family, plus a lovely sister, Sherley. What a lucky 'hound'. xx

AAhh thats a lovely thing to say, thankyou:) Cooper is an amazing boy. We had our first big walk in the daylight today . . .so i prepared myself for the possibility that it would be like 'running the gauntlet'.....OMG, i was wrong. Cooper stayed calm and gentle when faced with toddlers, pushchair, wheelchair, at least 6 or 7 breeds of dog (some off the leeds) including yorkshire terrier dashing about......A 6ft tall man who leaned over him to say hello (and now wants to adopt a greyhound!) a very noisy sainsburys trolley, and to complete the test, a car backfired as it went up the road! Cooper ( and sherley bobbed along happily. No weee or poo at all in the last 24 hours, not even 'marking' ...fingers crossed hard. To top it all, Sherley and cooper had a proper game together today . . down on front legs, bums up, dancing and yipping :) What a very special boy x x x

We met you outside Daybreaks on Sunday and had a chat and wondered which of the lovely hounds were lucky enough to go home with you. So pleased you fell in love with Cooper as he was a lovely gentle boy. I'm sure you'll all be really happy together.

So pleased for this lovely boy, so quick too :-) Walked this lovely lad a few times when he was at Bark Inn. When I first fostered Lennox (from Bark Inn) in Aug he marked his territory but he wasn't done at that time and when he went back he was. I have Lennox again on foster and even though he did cock his leg a few times, after a couple of sharp 'AA's he no longer does it. I was told if I needed to a long scarf or T towel wrapped round his waist so when he did he would wet himself which they don't like. I never got to that stage so I don't know if it really works. I wish you well with your new boy and I'm sure in no time these niggley bits will be a thing of the past :-) x

I'm over the moon that this beautiful boy has settled in so well, and delighted that he has a beautiful new sister. You know how we feel about him and this has made my day. No doubt you will have some good advice from 'male' greyhound owners with regards to house training - good luck. All sounds promising. xxxxx

we went to daybreaks on sunday, to look for a new companion for our sherley (6 year old greyhound) After seeing cooper, we were totally smitten . . . .and although we had doubts up until that point, weather it was too soon after losing our big boy Smudge:( . . .our doubts disapeared when we met cooper. He has been with us for 24 hours now . .and him and sherley have already snuggled up together! The look on coopers face when he was lying on the duvet by the radiator smelling spagetti bolognaise cooking this evening was pure relaxed heaven:) He has enjoyed his walks with Sherley, and slept through the night beautifully, and the greetings we get are fabulous. We are in love:) Only one hiccup . . . .. . He is marking his territory around the house . . ..which i presume and hope is purely a settling in thing . . . . however, if it continues, has anyone had experience of this problem, and any ideas of tricks to help to stop it?! He is quite recently castrated so i presume testosterone levels are still falling, which i am sure will help . . .hopefully! Thanx to you all for trusting us with this special boy, and particularly to the lovely lady who spent time with us on sunday, you are fabx x x xAnd a big thankyou to Nichola and hubby for all the info they were able to share with us having taken cooper out and about.

Cooper, I am thrilled for you and your new family.
Hi Michelle. Sadly it's not me who has reserved Cooper. Brian and I adore him and he would, without a doubt, be at home with us now - but we didn't feel it was fair to our elderly, nervous cat, Oscar. I don't know Cooper's new family but I hear they are lovely. xx

Cooper came with us today to visit our home town of Stratford upon Avon. This boy is not only beautiful on the outside but, more importantly, on the inside too. His behaviour was perfect. We went for a nice long walk, meeting various breeds of dogs with no reaction other than 'curious ears'. He walked beautifully on the lead, briskly by my side but attentive to my pace. We stopped for coffee and water in an obliging cafe, where he sat happily on a portable blanket. And this was his first visit to the big wide world!! Added to all this he is the most loving, intelligent boy you could imagine. I felt incredibly proud to be with him. If anyone has seen the scene in the film 'Ghost' when Whoopi Goldberg reticently hands over the cheque for a million dollars to the Nuns, you may have some idea of how my husband and I felt handing him back to Daybreaks at the end of the day. Cooper, you are wonderful. xxx
