Sadly our DJ Tizwaz Torres made his journey over Rainbow Bridge this morning. Aged 13 years 9 months.
He collapsed at home this morning, where I rushed him to the vets, but nothing could be done.... I took him on his final journey to the Pet Crem and we said our final goodbyes. I'm heartbroken.... run pain free and young again my beautiful brindle boy. ????????

Hi. You might be able to get it from Ryknyld Saddlery in Four Oaks. When I had my Pony he used to sell a lot of Gold Label products. Its not far from waitrose at mere green. Its on Clarence Road or was unless Pete has moved. You've really helped me thanks. My foster-paws grey has bad teeth & i'd like to try to get some of the plack off while she is with me. Her dad is elderly and poorly so wouldn't be able to clean them. Hope you dont mind me posting. Also there is Dosthill Saddlery if they are still open. My pony gained her angel wings in 2008 so I'm out of touch now on the horsey scene

Instead of Plaque Off which is £13ish for 60 grams I bought a 2kg tub of Gold Label Seaweed for horses & Dogs from Solihull Riding School at last years show.....I ran out 2 weeks before this years show

I was recommended to use this instead of Plaque Off by a vet

33 x 60 grams is 1980 grams, so just under the 2kg....coming to £429.00!!!
I paid £7.50 for the 2kg tub last year! (couldn't buy it from there this year as they were out of stock)

I got it from ebay this time.....the place I got it from is out of stock, but this is it (more expensive than it was at the Riding school shop)

Hi I was recommended Plaque Off which you sprinkle in their food. You only need a small amount, as instructions. Its not cheap but a smallish tub lasts our 2 a couple of months. We have been using it for over 6 months daily and we have definitely seen an improvement. Pam

Hi Lisa, try Logic oral hygiene gel - though Robbie doesn't like it (amazing!) Dreams and Tom both always licked off my hand. It might help a bit if you can't get to check. xx

Does anyone know how i can clean Torres teeth, which doesnt involve brushing / scraping or spraying with gel etc as he growls and bites me and means it when i go anywhere near his mouth. He wont even let me look properly without growling at me. ? He has Dental Flex etc. xxxx

My handsome Torres has been booked onto Tony Knight Training as he really isnt good with any other dog even though lives with a non grey and i have the injuries to show for his aggression, he wasnt like this when i got him, but i must of done something, so will do anything to get this sorted. rofl. xxxx

Poor Torres, hope his foot heals quickly and he can enjoy racing around the garden again! Xxx

Poor Torres is on bed rest and no walks for a few days after coming in from the garden this morning after playing with Lottie and Coco covered in blood..... looked like a blood bath. Searched dogs and it was his paw gushing. Couldnt see where coming from. So had to bandage and off to vets we went where he was stitched. Antibiotics. Foot wash and me stupidly forgetting to muzzle him whilst vet worked on him. I am now proud owner of some slight marks on my arm. Bless him. My fault. He was in alot if pain. Daft dog. All forgiven after he gave both me and vet a big kiss each (of Torres that is) lol. Xxx.

Torres is such a delight. Is really nervous which we are trying to get him out of and considering he LOVES food, he is scared of his food bowl.... silly dog... He really has made himself at home here and has settled well into the pack. Loves walks, biscuits, fuss and of course is always seen "roaching".... x

I was always reluctant to foster Torres because I knew what would happen... we'd get attached and wouldn't be able to let him go. Guess what... it did! I'm still not convinced our house is big enough for us all, but it's too late now.

Torres has arrived at our house for foster.. He was a little nervous entering the house and had a lovely wee up our lounge wall even though the back door was open... I know for sure my other two will teach him where to go from now on. He has lay down next to both our other 2 dogs and has gone to sleep.. ahh he is so sweet.... he is coping with the children very well and believe me there noisy. x

Er... I think someone is over egging the pudding a bit, here. Exact words were "we'll see" not "we will". I'm concerned people reading this may think Torres is effectively reserved when he isn't and he misses out as a result. Please don't let that happen.

I am desperate for him to find his forever home and put some of us out our misery.lol. It would only be a trial if he is still there as need to see if gets on with other dogs... we would take it from there. I took this smashing lad to Melbicks today, and he was perfect!!! I still cannot believe he is still here. He travels lovely in the car, he doesn't pull at all on the lead and is a very happy boy. See you tomorrow Torres xxxxxxx

I had the pleasure of meeting the loveley Torres today. When I saw him he was so calm and laid back and took everything in his stride, he just wanted to lie down and watch the world go by even if he did have to tuck his tale in!!!!

Torres was great today at Melbicks his first road show ever. He was loved by adults and children alike and attracted a lot of attention, we all loved him.

I took Torres to Melbicks today, and well where do I start?
1) He is SO gentle on the lead
2) He is perfect with other greyhounds
3) He is perfect with other breed. BIG and SMALL!
4) He is the most loving dog EVER!!
5) He loves people and had small children stroking him and there was no problem at all xx

Torres you were great with 3 of my 4 children at the Kingsbury walk and there only 7, 5 and 5...you really didnt bother with them at all. Aslong as children know to give you your own space im sure you would be fine. x

Torres came with me, my other half, my greyhound and my labradoodle and 3 young children (yes a 7 year old and twins aged 5) on the Kingsbury Water Park Walk and he was GREAT, he really enjoyed it, sunning himself on the grass after the walk by the car. Getting hugs from my children taking everything in his stride ! He was sooooo chilled. What a fab boy.... was sorry to take him back to kennels..... so wished we had more space at home... Your forever home is just round the corner. xx

Hubby walked Torres at the walk today as he did at Stratford he is a perfect gent on the lead ,full of character(in a good way)and so very friendly.Thanks to Mike for dropping hints that he would make a nice addition to our family -husband not taking the bait but we can keep working on him only took ten years to persuade him to have our first dog! Having said this I am another one who can't understand why this lovely boy still hasn't been snapped up.Perhaps the Easter bunny will find him a home over the bank holiday he is a cracking dog that will be fab in a home.

I'm with blueangel & michelleandbertie - why is this delightful boy still here? It's not that we don't love seeing him chilling out and displaying his 'bits' to the world - it's just it would be so much nicer if he could do it on his very own sofa! Big cuddles gorgeous. xxxxx

Yesterday I enjoyed a trip to Pets at Home in Stratford-on-Avon with this truly wonderful Greyhound boy. Torres was a very friendly, obedient and happy companion. I collected him from the kennels just after his breakfast. On both journeys he travelled very well in the car, only standing on arrival. When at our venue he was immediately the centre of attention with interest from several couples and families. He really does deserve a new permanent home and I am certain that he will give a great deal of pleasure in return. Missing you Torres. x Brian

I met the beautiful Torres again at the Pets and Home Stratford, once again he was beautifully behaved, please someone give this wonderful lad a home, if I had room I would have him like a shot.

I know he does not like his muzzle on and so rubs against you on a walk to get it off, but Torres came to my house a few weeks ago and we just could not believe that he had not been in a house before, amazing laid back loving boy who settled In like he was always here, even asked to go out to the loo ( I would have him in a heart beat if I could) but cannot take three to work and so at the mo three is a NoNo ! I had the honour of looking after Torres whilst Norman sold raffle tickets at the Stratford walk and he was a perfect gentleman, someone will get a very lovely greyhound in this chap.

Torres came to our home yesterday, now I know all the dogs are special but this one takes some beating. He was the most perfect house guest even asked to go out when he wonted a pee. To think he came straight out of training, and yet he found himself in a whole new world, calm and collected with a stunning coat. What do I know but IMHO probably better suited to a quieter family, but I tell you what, who ever gets this boy will be getting one amazing chap. Hope Michelle doesn't read this but if circumstances where different this gent would have been staying.

I can only echo what Deb has said, Torres came for a visit today after the stratford walk and I have to say I have fallen for him !!!! He was at our house along with 9 other grey hounds !!! Yes 9 !!! He was amazing interacted amazingly, I cannot believe he has not been in a house before, he was so loving and so chilled and took everything in his stride, I really love this little fella I just hope that he finds a home very soon as I cannot get him out of my mind, I just wished that he could have stayed here, but alas it cannot be at the moment, but if there was anyway we could have three then he would be the one, Torres is a very very special boy xx

I am so glad that Torres had a lovely day out in the sunshine today. In the kennels you can generally find him lying flat out on his bed watching the world go by - he does love to chill out! Its great for him to be introduced to all the new sights & sounds, and it sounds like he did really well on is first big adventure into the world. Big cuddles for a beautiful big boy. xxx

Torres came to Stratford today and was walked by my husband a Spurs fan aside from the name Barry had a lovely walk with Torres.He did appear a little bewildered(Torres not Barry) at first but soon settled down and really enjoyed his walk.He walked beautiful on the lead no tugging or pulling and in fact is a bit of a leaner.Loved his cuddles,very polite and interacted well with the other dogs on the walk including a Great Dane puppy.I think we tired him out and at the end of the walk he just wanted to lie down and chill.He is a lovely boy with thickest silkiest coat you have ever seen. He really deserves to be in a home and I am sure that is just around the corner.
