What a truly perfect gentleman Albert was....he was loved by everyone who met him during his time at Daybreaks. :)) Albert had many ups and downs in his life before finding true happiness with his wonderful family. Met the lovely Albert at the dog show today can only echo everyone's comments what a lovely boy. He has the most amazing speckled ears. Come on people this lad really needs a home.

I met Albert today at Brueton Park in Solihull, what an absolutely gorgeous boy. I could have dog-napped him there and then.

He needs a home, his tail tucked right under tells me that :-)

Gorgeous Albert - he is doing so well now. Eating well, swelling has all gone and he is sooooo happy and bouncy when you get his lead out! I therefore left him at the kennels last night paired with Jessie..... it killed me to do it as he has been so good at ours but as we have Foxy on extreme rest, I need our house as settled as possible.

Albert update! Albert is recovering rapidly.... his swelling has gone down loads, his eye is almost back to normal and he is eating well. He was going crazy this morning when I put his lead on to take him to the kennels! He will keep coming home with me until I am sure he is totally recovered. He is fantastic..... if you are looking for an adorable boy - Albert is your man! :-)

Albert update! I collected Albert from Willows yesterday morning where he had spent the night on a drip. As he was still bleeding heavily I took him back over to Fivelands where he was put back on the drip and Amelia operated again. When I collected him he looked SOOOO much better! He does have a very swollen face but that is understandable but his eye has reduced massively. He managed to eat a small amount of ham and has had a very settled night.

He seems really bright this morning so he is really on the road to recovery - yay!

So sorry for poor Albert. Hope he will be feeling better soon. Lots of love. Xx

Albert was collected yesterday following his dental. Unfortunately he had a rare complication with his left eye swelling following surgery (despite the major dental work being carried out on the right side).

He seemed quite uncomfortable (very understandable) and kept rubbing his face on the blankets - therefore making the clotting which had formed, dislodge, and start him bleeding again. Each time we managed to stop him, he would rub his face again :-( Prior to leaving Fivelands, they had given him Vitamin K injections to help with the clotting but by 10.30pm I was concerned and contacted Christian at Fivelands and was advised to take him to Willows due to the amount of blood he was losing. I stopped several hours at Willows whilst they ran bloods to check his clotting and also to calculate how much blood he has lost in case he needed a transfusion. The results came back and it was decided to keep him in and put him on a drip. I am waiting for a call to let me know how he is doing and I will keep you posted....

I took Albert to Fivelands for his vaccination this afternoon as it was overdue and sadly, his teeth are in need of a dental. He has therefore been booked for tomorrow so he has come home with me for some extra TLC this evening. I think he remembered staying here before as he ran straight into the front room, onto the window seat and sat down! Bless him!

Walked Albert this morning. What a super boy he is. Really hope a new sofa arrives for him very soon.

I would seriously recommend that anyone considering a greyhound comes and looks at this gorgeous boy he is very handsome even more so in the flesh and always so well behaved and such a fusspot he just really needs a chance -although everyone at the kennels loves him to bits he really does need that forever sofa

Albert waved bye bye to his poorly paw partner and long term kennel mate Charlie this morning. Surely this fabulous boy will be next - such a happy, friendly soul, he is so excited to get his lead on and get out of the kennel, but once out on his walk he is as good as gold, even ignoring the barking Lab at the farm this afternoon. Fingers crossed beautiful. xx

So lovely to walk Albert today minus any rubber gloves flapping about on his paw!! He and his kennel mate Charlie really enjoyed their walk in the sunshine and were walking along beautifully. So great to see them on the road to recovery after their ops. XX

Ruth as you have already got 5 do you think your parents would really notice Albert and Charlie. if you did a rotation from room to room and swapped dogs around intermittently they might not notice at all. It might work you never know!!!! lol.

Albert (along with Charlie) has been staying at our house for over a week now to help his foot heal following his toe amputation. His foot is now looking great and he is weight bearing with the occasional limp and his stitches are due out on Friday.

In the house he is excellent - he loves laying on the window seat and is good on the lead and met a Spaniel on his walk yesterday and didn't bother at all. He really is a very loving boy. He does get extremely excited when his lead comes out and I am teaching him to calm down for this.

My parents moved to New Zealand in June 2007 and I haven't seen them since this time. They are coming to visit this weekend and as they are not over keen on dogs, unfortunately I need to make my house as calm and quiet as possible. I think they think us having 5 greys of our own is already too crazy, so unfortunately Charlie and Albert will be back at the kennels - I desperately hope they find a home very soon.

Albert you get my cuddle againg today I really hope a prospective owner can see pass your temporary poorly paw and give you that sofa you so deserve.

I so agree with LadyVictoria - both Charlie & Albert have been so restricted for ages due to their poorly paws, but they are such good patients, taking their medication and wearing their trendy socks & rubber gloves on their paws without protest! They are the best of friends and all they need now is a home to call their own. xx

Despite the problem he has with his paw at the moment, Albert is a very happy boy. Would be fantastic to see him find that special forever home. Xxx

Just taken Albert and Charlie to the vets for their toe operations...got very teary at leaving them. Just wish they had families waiting for them when they come out. We do the best we can at the kennels but nothing beats having a home of your own. Xxxxx

Albert saw the vet again today, his paw is taking time to heal. He no longer has a bandage on but still has his stitches. He is now sporting a nice sock and rubber glove! He is such a great lad....he and Charlie have spent so much time together on trips to see the vet they are now sharing a kennel! My nickname for this boy is Prince Albert! He lies on his bed so regal, watching the world go by. Even with bandaged paw he cant wait to get out and go for a walk, and is such a friendly boy. Keeping everything crossed for you this weekend my handsome boy. xxx
