This afternoon we helped Cadbury to rainbow bridge he had been battling a tumour and he couldn,t carry on anymore.Cadbury was one of Sara Pillengers favourites and she gave him his name I like to think he,s gone to join her and all our rainbow dogs.He was a complex but wonderful character and he only ever trusted 5 people I was so lucky I was one of his people.I don,t know how you ever fill a very large Cadbury sized hole, rest easy caddy boy.

lloyd family update cadbury has been fantastic great with my grandson ollie has just settled straight in with my other 3 greys sleeping in the lounge at the moment my female kat on one side who has already shown him who is boss and my male mikey has his head resting on cadbury,s shoulder oh and he already has his tags engraved my sarah over the moon thanks for all the love and support everyone xxxxxxx

As I did my rounds to close up tonight, I found Cadbury upside down on his bed, legs splayed wide open with that funny little grin that makes it look like he is wearing a set of joke fangs!!! This boy is just adorable, sending him a big cuddle tonight. xxx

I had the pleasure of taking Cadbury to Elmdon Park today and he was absolutely PERFECT! He had no trouble jumping in my car. His only problem was that it took me far too long to unlock the car and open the door for his liking! Once at the park, he couldn't wait to get out. He walked like a dream and I could have almost forgotten at times that he was on the end of the lead. We met lots of smaller dog and he wasn't interested at all. He didn't even turn his head to acknowledge their presence!! He stood and allowed himself to be stroked by some small children and was genuinely not fazed by anything. He is going to make a superb pet and I hope he finds his special sofa very soon xx

Awhh Cadbury! He is such a gorgeous boy and always makes my day. He is so loving and love cuddles when I go and sit with him in his kennel. He needs a really loving home !!! Xx

Oh ....if only we all had a crystal ball !!! Adopting a greyhound is very rarely easy. Thank you Lisaestelle, for admitting that you may have been at fault as well !! When we re-homed Davey, just over two years ago, he was at the last chance saloon. He is very dominant, and very food orientated. But, we have learnt to read his body language, and predict his reactions. He can still be a real pain in the arse, but we know he will never change !!! So, we have to accept him as he is.
He can be the most sweet boy...but at times...our worst nightmare. Please, be understanding...and keep us updated on how Cadbury is doing.X.

CADBURY IS ENJOYING being back with his girls it's as if he has never been away. We are taking it one dat at a time but so far so good. Ava Cara Boo boo and Zeta love him xx

Cadbury has been with me for two days and he an absolute star. He walks lovely on the lead and stands still and just watches as Cassie barks and jumps around every time she sees a squirrel. I would love to keep him forever but unfortunately due to our work routine it won't be possible. However, with 2 weeks off work I am glad I can give a grey a little break from the kennels.

People please do not ignore this gorgeous fella. When i entered his kennel today he obviously felt that i needed a face wash as he licked me all over my face to make sure he had done a good job!!!!! Cadbury loves his cuddles and he was great with my hubby, Steve, He also felt that he hadnt washed his face this morning either, and proceeded to give him a facial also!!!! My hubby is bald and wears glasses so maybe thats what the men need to look like for Cadbury to fall in love with them......... So again please give this fab fella a chance as he really needs a forever home.

We are all so sad to have to return Cadbury but unfortunately there was an incident with one of my little male dogs. All the girls and my family miss him terribly and are heartbroken. Cadbury much prefers the company of girl dogs both big and small and wants to be the only male in the household. I have another small male dog and felt that I couldnt trust him and had to make the very tough decision. We have all cried tears and really hoping that someone will take him home soon as he is a delight to have around, loves lots of fuss and attention and gives back loads. He really is a sweetie when you get to know him and deserves that loving home.

Hello everyone, I have been left for a couple of hours this week and I have been really good. I haven't made a mess or ripped anything up....I have to be good though because I have three big sisters who will tell on me if I'm not.

Cadbury has been the perfect gentleman and he definitely has an admirer in Cara as she has taken to looking after him. Boo is also a little bit in love with him and wants to play! Cadburys still a little shy at the moment though, sorry Boo-Boo! He's settling in quite well, and only cried once last night but was soon comforted and back off to sleep, so far so good.

Our friend Jay, who is with us on Cadbury's re homing picture, dropped in with her terrier Woody. We were careful to start with but quickly realised Cadbury is a perfect gentleman with visitors small & large.

Cadbury had a great first night with us. He made two failed attempts to climb the stairs then gave up on that & went to sleep on his duvet downstairs. We checked on him a couple of times. No noise of any kind. Not even when he needs the loo. He just paces & noses the door & us. No accidents indoors so far. A lot of sleeping & a bit of getting his nose into everything. No problems with his appetite. He is very easy to walk & a joy to be with.

Well Cadbury your sofa 'has' arrived and sweet at that.

Cadbury settled in straight away. Into everything & took no notice of a couple of cats in the garden. The same cannot be said of them. He has scent marked every corner of the garden. It would seem the sofa is now out of bounds for us. He has a great view of the TV from there.

Oh poor Cadbury but no surprise. ALL family members need to be in agreement with adoption and all that it entails. Yes, effort and patience is needed from us humans but the rewards are fantastic. Cadbury, i am sure that your forever home is just round the corner and everybodys fingers and lots of doggies paws are crossed for you my beautiful boy.

Cadbury has been returned today. Sadly the owners decided he was too big for them and they had problems with him settling when left alone. They did say he was very good with their children and other dogs when out on walks. Very sorry for all concerned things didn't work out this time. x

Cadbury went for a checkup at the vets this morning. He is obviously still sore but all being well he should be able to have his stitches out next week...Crackercharlie is right he is fab! Xxx

cadbury looks quite sore, and isnot happy with his cone of shame on :( but as soon as you got to get him into the run he gets so happy, and excited! Even if he bumps into things sometimes xx

Cadbury is currently woofing down his breakfast (I know it's early but the poor boy had only one small meal last night and he is a skinny ribs). We didn't hear a peep out of him last night and he really can hold his wee! I am taking him to the kennels this morning. Unfortunately he can have no walks at all for 10 days due to his op but I am sure he will have plenty of extra TLC instead x

My poor poor boy.... I had a phone call from Christian at Fivelands earlier to say unfortunately Cadbury had one retained testicle. We all know the major risks of leaving one in situ so they had to dig deep and out it has come :-( Sadly the poor fella has the most amazing row of stitches and bruising and I have just got home with him.... he is very quiet (very understandable) and doesn't yet want to lay down as he struggled to toilet earlier. You definitely get my big hug tonight handsome boy...... x

Cadbury, I so enjoyed walking you today. You were so excited to be leaving your kennel but once out settled to a steady pace and were an absolute joy to walk. Such a friendly boy too and what beautiful eyes! I don't think Daybreaks will have the pleasure of your company for much longer. Xx

Saw this boy yesterday he is a bit skinny but after a few peanut butter sandwiches and cans of pilchards he will put on weight in no time.He is a very friendly and very handsome youngster.Will make a lovely addition to a family.He is such a very lucky boy to end up at Daybreaks dread to think what his fate might have been if he hadn't have been picked up.
