Hi Folks Jessie here just to let you know Max and I went on a walk on Cannock Chase with the Monmore Green RGT. It was very cold but we enjoyed it especially the sausages when we got back. Mum had mulled wine and mince pies and won a prize in the raffle, so a good day was had by all. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone at Daybreaks. Love Jessie xxx

Hi Jessie here, just to let you know Max and I have been to a blood donor session at our vets. We were both very brave, had lots of tummy rubs and treats. Our photos are going to be on Facebook. We can thoroughly recommend it.

Hi Effy, I'm so pleased to read from Auntie Ruth that there was no internal damage from your kennel buddy's nibble last week. You just have to get my electronic cuddle today gorgeous as you've been so brave having all those stitches and so good whilst staying at the 'Boswell Hotel'. I really do hope to have a proper (if stitches allow) cuddle with you on Wednesday morning. Take care little one, Tash x

Effy is one very very adorable girl. I admit that whilst she was at the kennels she really didn't sell herself.... always barking at those walking past and really bouncy. I can not convey how different she is in enough words! She has melted my heart, she is gentle, totally clean in the house, sleeps downstairs at night with mine, can be left and doesn't stress, takes herself off into the front room and loves laying on the window seat. She LOVES her cuddles and we have just spent a good half hour having snuggles where she gently lifts her leg if she wants a bit more. She has 'Wispa' qualities but sadly the Boswell doors are closed to new intakes :-( Whoever chooses this girl has got a very special friend.......

She was bitten by her kennel mate on Thursday and needed x-rays as there was fear of internal damage but it was just superficial however she has a big long row of stitches down her side. This sadly can happen when one might tread on another - it doesn't mean her kennel mate is aggressive. She did not retaliate which reinforces her lovely nature. I am going to keep her at home until she is fully healed and off her medication however she will be at the kennels each day for viewings. If you would like more info about her, please just call. Oh Effy, you my little treasure are getting my electronic cuddle today as I think you are beautiful and am so sorry to read that you've had a 'nibble' from your kennel mate. I'm coming up to Daybreaks next Wednesday with Rosie Po so she can have a pre birthday 'bath & pamper session' and whilst she's being groomed, I'll sneak in to see you and have a real cuddle with you sweetheart. Poor Effy - yesterday her kennel mate decided to bite her and she went off to Fivelands vets. As the wound started to fill with air and it was unsure if the air was coming from the inside out or the outside in, it was felt she might need an x-ray prior to stitching her up. Due to her just having had her peanut butter sandwich they were unable to do it straight away so it was decided that I would keep a close eye on her overnight and she is going in to Fivelands this morning.

She is an absolutely adorable girl..... she is totally different to what she is like at the kennels - she is quiet, affectionate and has settled into home life life so easily. She spent the night on the window seat unmuzzled with my 5 and has been clean and quiet all night. I will keep you posted as to how she gets on today.

Effy met a little terrier today and was a very good girl with her. Obviously a little intrigued at first, she gave her a good sniff from head to toe, but wasn't overly bothered even when she started moving & walking around and soon lost interest. Well done Effy. x

Effy you are adorable, you were so gentle out on your walk today and you were quite happy to walk along side a little girl called Lucy and her mom who had come to look around the kennels. So playful as well as you were chasing a toy in the run later. I am sure you will not be waiting much longer, you are a stunning looking girl with a wonderful gentle nature. XX

Popped in to Daybreaks this afternoon with our little Rosie Po and had the pleasure of meeting and snuggling up to Effy. What a beautiful girl she is. So gentle and extremely soft to the touch. Of course John had to get in on the act and decided he'd do what he used to do with Rosie at the kennels... i.e. lie on the bed with her! Whoever is lucky enough to offer this beautiful girl a home will have the most adorable addition to their family. Thanks for the big licks as well Effy! Tash x
