It is with great sadness that I write that Maggie Moo passed away this afternoon on her bed at home. It was very sudden and very quick.

Maggie was my first dog and was greatly loved. She was a great travel companion and enjoyed many trips away with us from Scotland to Cornwall to many places in between. She seemed to have a 6th sense when it came to us planning a camping trip and it wasn't unheard of for her to go and wait by the garage door so that we wouldn't be able to go without her.

My happiest memories on holiday are walking with my husband and Maggie. She loved a walk along a windy coastline or beach. She also learnt to love a muddy walk. When she first came home with us and we went for muddy walks, she would try to pick her way around the mud and puddles. I think she soon realised that this could not be a permanent solution and started to wade through it with us! She hated walking on stony ground (partly I think because she suffered from corns but partly just because she had princess paws). I am heartbroken that we no longer will have to search out walks that have a grassy verge with no stiles.

Maggie, you have left an indelible mark on my heart. You were one very special girl. Safe travels over Rainbow Bridge and I hope there are lots of squirrels there for you to chase. Sleep tight and sweet dreams xxxx

It is four years today since Maggie adopted us. She continues to be a total diva and I continue to love her to bits. We've had another year of adventures and she still does something every day to make me smile. I can't imagine life without her xx

I can't believe it has been three years since we adopted Maggie. I love her to bits (just as well because sometimes she is quite a diva!!!) and take her everywhere that I can with me. We have enjoyed holidays in Scotland, Lake District, Peak Districk, Isle of Wight, Wales, Devon and Cornwall. She is at her happiest exploring new pastures (she seems to consider it an insult if I try and walk her directly from the house!!) and particularly enjoys long coastal walks with the wind in her face. I like to think that she is a true adventurer. I am looking forward to make more happy memories with her in the future xx

Maggie has now been with us for two years. The time has absolutely flown by and I can't remember life without her. She has enjoyed lots of treats and a walk along the canal today. I'm not so sure she was impressed with Ruth cutting her nails and removing a corn though afterwards! Xx

It has been a year to the date today that I brought Maggie home. She is a completely different dog to this time last year. It took her so long to settle in (I would say about 6 months!!) and I did at several points think she never would! A big thank you here to Ruth, Kate, Joyce and Lisa for the support and guidance. They all told me it would be OK and it really was. Maggie does something go make me smile everyday; whether that is rearranging my door stops or running in crazy loops around the garden. I can't even remember a time without her now. Here's to many more years with her :-)

We've beern away on holiday so didn't know poor Maggie has been so poorly. So glad to hear she is now recovering. Such a lovely little girl. Hugs to all of you. Xx

Maggie has had her stitches out tonight and the vet is pleased with her. We now have to try and feed her up, slowly but surely. She is very happy to be having slightly bigger portions! :-)

Maggie has been to the vets today and they are pleased with her. It is such a relief after the various complications she has had. There is still the possibility of more post operative complications but there are no immediate concerns. She is off on Tuesday to have her stitches out :-) The vet said that she is a fighter! Go Maggie! Xx

Thanks for all the good wishes. I have been to see her tonight. Unfortunately she isn't keeping any food down and until she can, I won't be able to bring her home. She looked so sorry for herself and the whole thing is absolutely heartbreaking. This is not how I anticipated spending her first birthday with us.

Walked Maggie this morning. Such a lovely, well behaved little lady.

I'm very proud of her already! She is such a good girl! X

Have child tested this lovely girl today and she was great.... In fact she didn't want to interact with the children at all. She took treats without grabbing/snapping and only got a little excited when she saw the cats and other dogs coming into the kennels. X
