Princess has a new name...Mary! She was so happy and looked beautiful when she came to the kennels to help sign her paperwork today. :)) Xxx

It was lovely to take you for a walk - all down the main road and not down the lane this time. That's such an improvement over the first time I walked you. Sadly Princess has been returned today. She wasn't settling and had separation anxiety. It was a hard decision for her owners to make, but they feel she would benefit from some company, either another dog or someone around at home.

Hi all I done Pearl (aka Princess) home check late this afternoon and the daughter was so excited i agreed we could go and collect her from the kennels there and then, she happily went of to her forever home early this evening . She is so tiny, we had to put extra holes in her lead and muzzle. Be a good girl Pearl (who has been named so as her new parents Pearl wedding anniversary is this weekend . x

I have got the gorgeous tiny Princess at home still with me. She was speyed at Fivelands on Monday and I have kept her at mine as she has been so well behaved. She takes herself into the crate I have up and curls up one corner. She folds her front legs under when she lays down - so cute! She has been playing with the toys and is very loving. She sleeps quietly at night and has been clean in the house - perfect! :-) She has just got to get used to seeing other breeds now and dealing with traffic as she is a little nervous.

It was lovely to meet this little girl today. When I first went in to kennels, I went round to meet the dogs and straight away Princess was licking my hand through the bars to her kennel. As it turned out, I ended up taking her for her walk. We went along the lane as she isn't keen on traffic and I was warned that she might be too afraid and not want to move once she left Daybreaks grounds. I have to say I could tell she was nervous and not at all keen on the few cars that passed but with constant encouragement she walked along with me all the way along the walk. When we stopped half way, I had to have a few steps trotting to unstick her feet from the floor and get her moving again (although I suspect this had something to do with her being interested in what was in the field beyond). Once we were going again, she walked along properly back to the kennels. She then didn't want to go back in her kennel, but once she was back in with Tommy, she was fine and more than happy for some fuss. When I dared try and cuddle Tommy, I suddenly felt the brush of fur against my face as Princess jumped up in the way demanding fuss. She's a gorgeous little girl who just needs a little bit of confidence and to be shown all is ok and I'm sure she'll be fine. In fact, I suspect that once she finds her paws, there'll be no stopping this little one and I imagine she'll be very loving too!! (As someone who has fostered a smaller black greyhound girl and currently owns two of them, one of which was initially nervous when we had her, I have experience of them). She's a little beauty and happy to have met her - and happy to walk her again next time we're up; assuming she's still there! x J

I was lucky enough to bump into beautiful Princess this morning as I arrived at Daybreaks. She's stunning and if we had room for a 3rd she'd have been coming home with me! xxxx

Princess had some, minor interest in the cats, but could def be cat friendly with some minor training, she is going to be taken into out cat room daily to train her. X
