She started the celebrations with a roast chicken breakfast and carried on the party with Champ, Surprise and Roxy Labrador with a feather cushion fight while I had popped to the shop. Came home to find the sitting room and kitchen looking like they had been hit by an avalanche - feathers everywhere. Lottie and Roxy looked very pleased with themselves and Champ like a snowman!

Hello JewelintheCrown. I'm sorry I didn't see your posts yesterday. Lottie is indeed adorable and so very loving. Please don't worry - she is eating well and sleeps downstairs with Surprise, our older greyhound at night with no problems (totally clean). She has been here a week and her playful personality is definitely coming out - in this she has a willing partner in crime with our little black lab, Roxy. Having had her here for just a week I know it must have been incredibly difficult to bring her back to kennels. Ruth has our details if you would like to get in touch directly and we would certainly like to hear more about lovely Lottie! In the meantime I will give her lots of cuddles and love from you and Ella Mae xxx

Just have to say again how adorable Lottie is and so loving. Being a greyhound and so young I think it helps having other dogs around. She is making herself at home and she is a very busy girl, into everything. I'm sure familiarity with surroundings will help. Initially she didn't want to venture onto the lawn - hence the accidents in the garage as it's hardstanding like the patio. But we know this now and she has become more confident and has had a couple of forays onto the grass with Champ. Apart from that, she is coping with all the sights and sounds of the farm very well. Just a lovely, special girl xxx

Lottie (she doesn't seem to recognise Penny) has been with us on her Xmas holidays for a couple of days now. She is a very,very sweet little girl, a little lively being so young and definitely inquisitive but with such a loving nature. She is eating really well and has been clean in the house (although a couple of accidents in the garage as we got to know each other!) She sleeps downstairs with Surprise with no problems and is fine with both of our labs (Roxy thinks she is the bees knees and loves to play!). Unusually perhaps for a greyhound she has shown no interest so far in jumping on the armchairs or sofa. She is such a joy and an absolute darling so I can imagine how hard it was to return her to kennels, but she so deserves her forever home xxx

Oh my. Thank goodness that I had had a couple of glasses of wine by the time I read this whilst cooking dinner or I would have been on my way to the kennels on Christmas afternoon. I am such a sucker when it comes to a sad story, that is how I ended up with Willow and my old Buzz. Good luck sweetie. Xxx

Sadly Lottie has been returned this morning. Her owner is very upset but feels Lottie needs the company of another dog as she is unsettled when left.

The beautiful Penny was speyed at Fivelands Vets on Monday and came home with me overnight. She was her happy lively self and as she ate all her breakfast the following morning, I took her back to the kennels. She was golden and her new family are very lucky to have such a sweet girl.

What. Gorgeous little girl she is. Took her for a short walk this morning and she behaved perfectly. Back at the kennels she stood with me and our own dog Milly while we chatted to other people and she kept snuggling up and giving me the odd lick! Someone will be very lucky when they choose her.
