Hi everyone, on my holibobs again! Mommy and daddy are here and I'm being a diva which is quite fun. They've bought my two beds so I have one upstairs and one down in the place where we're sleeping (well that's all I do when I'm there). But after I've had my breakfast and then another little sleep, we all go out to this massive sand run like I had at the kennels, only there's no walls and its massive! One side of it is water that moves, it's weird but I like it! Well you can imagine, there's all these other dogs and then..... Well mommy let me off my big long lead - I zoomed and zoomed and zoomed! Mommy was waving her hands around and when I got back to them, she gave me a sausage! I get sausages for zoomies! Just when I thought life didn't get any better, I heard them mention somefink about forgetting my dinner, but mommy walked off and quickly came back with some chicken thighs, my favourite! They did expect me to drink out of a dirty water bowl on the street that other dogs had used but no way! So mom got me my own bottled water in a new little bowl instead, just for me, thankfully cuz I was thirsty after the zoomies! Sometimes we have ice cream too - daddy tried just giving me the cone and mommy told him off which I think is quite right, they should share their ice cream with me, just like they share their sausages with me at breakfast! After all this, we go back to the place and I sleep lots (and lots). So sending my love and licks, my kennel buddies, just wanted to let you know the training of mommy and daddy is going very well. Unfortunately there's no room for any of my friends to come live with me, but mommy talks about a lottery (I think it's like peanut butter cuz she's happy when she talks of it), and having lots and lots of us!! Xxxx

Just had to tell you about my latest adventure, I've been on holiday! My hoomans get very excited at these holidays so I was excited too. First I slept in the car, then I slept outside a coffee shop, finally I slept in my bed at this cabin thing in the woods - you should've seen the squirrels! Every time mom and dad went out, I went too, sleeping in the car, it was great....until mom kept stopping and exploring pathways in woods! I'm talking miles and miles and miles! I'm sure I'm shorter now. On the last day I went on strike, enough is enough, my bed was being neglected! So I took a quick 13 hour nap. And so they got the message, when we got home, I went straight up onto my bed (although they still think it's their bed, silly mommy and daddy) and slept some more. Hope all my kennel buddies are being looked after by the lovely slaves. Love Saffy x. PS Auntie C, we will have to have stern barks if you speak of other buddies coming to live with me, I would have to share my peanut butter, salmon bites and very comfy beds. Grrrr

Hi everyone, Saffy here. Just checking in to make sure everyone's behaving. Saw how you all got peanut butter Kong's, so promptly told mom and put one on order. Mom gives me massages all the time, she's great to lean on and always comes home with bags, usually with something for me do i ruffle through them before she has chance to put them down! Dad is my best friend, we have such fun together, i get so excited if he's been out - but they always come home to me, it's brill. I've got them so we'll trained now, love my walks, my sofa, my bed and my loud squeaky toy, drives them crazy! So basically I'm doing great, never forget you all and to all my friends, hold in there til you pick your humans too, life's great once you get them trained! Saffy xx

Hi everyone, Saffy here. Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who's been looking after me recently, but I've picked my humans now and went home with them today. I've got them right where i want them and they do anything for me. I've got a huge big bed downstairs and a big mattress bed upstairs, but i have to laugh when they try to beat me to the sofa - no way are they quick enough! I'm so happy and will keep you informed from time to time when I'm not busy playing with all my new toys and having loads of cuddles. Lots of cuddles and licks to you all, Saffy xx

Very excited today, we passed our home visit which means Saffy now owns us! She liked the garden, enjoyed lounging on the rug, loved her new teddy toy and checked out where the Gravy bones are kept with her name on! And... she can come and take over our home this weekend where we will become slaves to our next fluffy four paws. Saffy is exactly what we need to keep us in line ????

Met Saffy yesterday and we fell in love. To make sure we weren't dreaming, we met her again today - she's beautiful, graceful, mad, plays with toys, gorgeous, beautiful....you get the message! We're smitten and hopefully will be having cuddles on our sofa soon forever!

Saffy is such a lovely girl, she's great on lead , loves her cuddles , loves her walk, clean in the house there's just nothing that's shes not good at, she's a dream to have around . She also loves to play with her toys with the help of Fred her boy friend at the moment. She will make any house a home x

Very sadly Saffy has been returned today. Her family are distraught to have to bring her back but due to a change in circumstances they feel it is the best thing to do. They will miss her very much and hope she finds the perfect home very soon. She is a very happy and affectionate girl. xx

I am over the moon that Saffy is doing so well - first night and day - NO ACCIDENTS!!!!! She was left whilst the family went to work and clearly seems to have settled in to her new home so well - it was just what she was waiting for! She did manage to steal some bread yesterday and had a small accident but I am sure she has been forgiven! So happy for you Saffy xxxxxx

It was so lovely to see Saffy today. She is such a beautiful little girl, and is very happy in the company of the big handsome Marco - resting her head on his back, but not afraid to let him know that trying to squeeze onto a small bed next to her is probably not the best idea!!! She just loves company and will take as much fuss as is available. She really should be out in her very own home, where a good routine will really help her - she is such a fabulous little girl. Fingers crossed for you my sweetheart. xxxx

I have today brought Saffy up to the kennels and paired her with the handsome Marco in the big run to see if she can settle as from tomorrow I will be fostering Poppy for a few days. I am seriously desperate to find this girl a home of her own. She is just beautiful and if someone can understand her, give her the routine she needs and be patient with her, this is all we need. I took her home last night and already it is like she has lived here for ages.... a few accidents when she first arrived but we left her for a few hours (we watched her stay settled on our cameras) and was totally dry during this time. She slept downstairs with Foxy and Coilean last night, no muzzle and we didn't hear a thing from her - and - NO ACCIDENTS - YAY!

Foxy has been laying with his head on her this morning - she is an amazing temperament and has eaten well with no food issues around our greys. She is so lovely and I really hope she can find a home very soon.

We have just returned Saffy to the kennels after her 3 week foster stay with us. There is nothing negative to say about Saffy, she was an absolute pleasure to have and a brilliant dog. She was definitely not incontinent during her stay with us and we took her off her medication straight away. She wet a few times on the kitchen floor in the day (only once in the last week), but we expected that as she hadn't been trained, but totally dry overnight. She was extremely affectionate, letting our children and us cuddle her to bits and lapping up any fuss she got whilst out on her walks. There was no aggression in her towards anyone or other dogs. She was perfect on her lead (much better than our own grey, Molly). We left her a few times in the house for 3-4 hours. Once on her own and 3 times with Molly. On every occasion she was brilliant, no wet or anything chewed. She didn't mind the noise of our three children and their friends nor bangs whilst inside the house. However, whilst out on a walk some fireworks went off and that did frighten her.
We thought that Molly would take some beating in placidity but Saffy was right up there near her. It was very sad to hand her back but we are not in a position to have another dog permanently at this moment in time. We do hope that someone will give her a forever home very soon as she has proved that she is brilliant as a pet. Bye bye Saffy, big cuddles. xxx

We have had a lovely Christmas with Saffy, she is a star. She loved opening her presents! She has been completely dry at night since we have had her and in the daytime for the last 3 days. She has not been on any medication during this last week either. She is good on her lead and doesn't pull like our Molly does. She is intelligent, understands a lot of commands and is obedient. She spent the first 5 nights downstairs by herself but has since progressed onto the pet bed on our bedroom floor, whilst Molly sleeps on the bed with us. She loves to be with people and will follow us about a little (especially into the kitchen) however, a firm "go and lie down" sends her back into the living room onto the sofa. Not sure about the large bangs, but she has been in a house with my three noisy children and their friends when they come round without a problem. We will see how she is on New Year's Eve with the fireworks! She really is a gorgeous girl. xxx

Saffy has settled really well into her foster home with us. Our own grey, Molly, is getting along with her fine. She is adorable and loves cuddles from anyone that wants to give her them. My children cuddle her to bits and she just laps it up. She has been dry throughout the night since she has been here. She has had a couple of mishaps in the daytime but we had just the same with Molly when we first had her from the kennels, it was just a matter of training her. After all she has only been with us for 3 days. She is absolutely beautiful and affectionate, a joy to have. xx

Ah, Mand thanks for taking the gorgeous Saffy for a day out today. On Friday I heard a funny sort of "gurgling" noise coming from her kennel and went to have a look. She was on her back, all four legs up in the air, having a good old "wriggle" on her bed and quite obviously really enjoying herself! She is so, so sweet and desperately needs her chance. Am thinking she must be my next phone screensaver! Big cuddles tonight sweetheart. xxxx

I had the pleasure of Saffy's company this afternoon at the Webbs roadshow. What a little sweetheart she is. She was totally clean in the car and although initially a little anxious, she soon settled down and travelled very well. She was very happy to say hello to everyone she met and was particularly great with small children, including those in buggies. She did see both a large and small breed of dog and there was no reaction whatsoever. With such a lot of people today at Webbs, she was amazing with all the sights and sounds she encountered. Saffy is a total snuggle monster, so was right at home with all the fuss she got today (as well as an extra few cuddles from me in her kennel when I got her back) and she loves her food, quickly sniffing out my treat pocket and not letting me forget where it was. I had fun with Saffy today, she's a really lovely little girl and I hope she finds her forever home very soon. Mand x

I am desperate to find a foster or more happily a permanent home for Saffy.

She has been reviewed on a continuous basis at the vets since she arrived several months ago as she has been having accidents with wetting her bed and medication has had no effect whatsoever.

I remember we had a greyhound in many years ago who did this and as soon as he went to a home, he stopped.....

If you think you have the tolerance, patience and ability to be able to help this beautiful girl please give us a call at the kennels. I desperately hope because of this current unfortunate problem she doesn't end up spending her life at Daybreaks - as much as we love her - it is not a retirement we plan for her.

We firmly believe there is a forever home out there for every hound,just takes a little longer for some. We hope a kind understanding home will soon be yours Saffy as you have lots of love to give in return xx

Sadly Saffy is not cat friendly. :(. We need a very special home for this sweet little girl. Unfortunately she has an incontinent problem for which she is on medication. She needs someone who has lots of patience and who is willing to help her manage her condition. In return she will give you all her love. Sending her my cuddle tonight. Xxx

Saffy was speyed yesterday at Fivelands. She is as bright as a button this morning and ate her breakfast and so is back to the kennels this morning. She was a little stressed in the night (understandable). She is a bubbly little girl!
