The Great Escaper is now much more relaxed and we are able to let Kitty off the lead on walks without worrying about her escaping. She is still highly strung compared to her sister Minnie but much more settled and turning into quite a joyful little character.

So glad Kitty is home safe and well apart from sore paws. Hope you have all had a relaxing weekend. xx

Thank you v much for your kind words. We all slept extremely well last night - the girls were cuddled up together! Minnie is now out for a morning walk now whilst I'm here with Kitty who is resting her sore paws. She hates the foot bath (it must sting a lot) so easing off on that a bit to just let her sleep. There have been many lovely comments to us all from Graham and Janine thanking us for our help in trying to find Kitty I just wanted to say that the real stars are Graham and Janine themselves,who have shown outstanding determination and dedication in getting their lovely Kitty back They have made us all very proud to be part of such a wonderful team of people dedicated to greyhounds and Kitty and Minnie are so very very lucky to have chosen such wonderful humanz X X X

So very happy that Kitty is safe and sound. I have had a couple in the past that were expert escapees so I can appreciate how stressful this has been for you. I wanted to post earlier but each time I tried I just burst into tears (of relief of course ). I would also like to thank everyone who has taken the time to go and search for the little sweetie. I was also coming over to help with the search, but by the time I had gone to get my car little girlie had been caught. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped - whether it's comments of support, phone calls, text messages or coming out to look for her. We couldn't have got her back without you. We are so pleased to have her back and totally overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of everyone - what a wonderful community this is.
Kitty has been to the vet to be checked - she has sore feet and a couple of scratches, but all checked and ok. She is very tired so will be resting for the weekend.
She escaped from work so we have a crate for her there and will be adapting the office doors to self close.
If you are unlucky enough to have an escapee we're obviously happy to help or provide advice - social media, particularly the help of Daybreaks, is critical.
This has been a stressful time for us and many people but she's back, safe and we have met and spoken to so many, many wonderful people.

Thank you Ruth, Kate and the team and the many people who have been so supportive and helpful.

We are heading out again soon to look for Kitty. If you are able to help please call or text me on 07771 701061 or the Trust on 0121 782 7702.

She is very nervous and scared. I've found some useful advice on catching her - if you're joining us it may be useful. Any other advice very welcome - we just want her safe.

1. We have set up a feed and bed station where she was last seen.
2. We're taking some worn clothes that smell of us
3. If seen it is really important not to chase her. Instead stay still, call her and make any greyhound visible
4. Feed the other greyhounds in her sight - she is hungry and will be curious
5. If she approaches stay very low, move as little as possible, don't look at her directly and toss food towards her
6. Patience is critical - our instinct is to chase but we will never catch her. We need to bring her to us by her hunger and natural curiosity

I am no expert but this is based on advice from people on here (thank you) and research.

She was last seen on Love Lyne, Callow Hill, Redditch. But please call first before coming out as it is a small rural road and we have only got this far because of the kindness of the local residents.

Although we have lost her Janine and I are responsible and really care for her. We just want her safe and well.

Hi Graham & Janine, thank goodness you now know her location. It's only a thought but are you able to take Minnie with you this morning? Perhaps if Kitty sees/smells/senses her sister, it may make her a little less nervous and make it easier to catch her safely. Or does she have a favourite toy that can be squeaked to call her?

Janine and I want to say a really heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out tonight to help catch Kitty. We have been stunned by how generous and caring people have been - giving up their time or sharing on here or just wishing us all the best. It means a lot.
She is still loose but we know where she is and she seems to be staying in the same area. She is on Love Lyne in Callow Hill. Despite everyone's best efforts she was just too scared and fast to catch.
We have left her bed, which smells strongly of home, and some food outside a local house with (thanks to the kind householders) and are going back tomorrow morning to try again. Any help really welcome - 07771 701061 - but we will be careful not to scare her. Any advice on how best to catch her please text or post.

We've been out today searching around where she was last seen and again around Lodge Park where we met Graham Fingers crossed this is it ! So gutted for them this afternoon when we didn't find her x x

UPDATE - Confirmed sighting at 8.10pm! Photo seen and it's Kitty - Love Lyne, Callow Hill. Graham is in the area now!

UPDATE: There has been a possible siting of Kitty near to where she first went missing in Hunt End, Redditch, Graham is there now and has asked if anyone in the local area could possibly help him with his search he would be so grateful. Hoping and praying there is some news of Kitty soon. I remember how nervous she was and know how much she depends on her sister Minnie. Hopefully whoever has her will drop her at a vets or bring her back to the kennels. Hugs to Kittys owners who must be beside themselves with worry. xx

FURTHER UPDATE - Kitty is still missing. Her owners are offering a £150 REWARD for any information that leads to Kitty's recovery. Please call Graham on 07771 701061 or the kennels on 0121 782 7702
Kitty's owners have stressed if someone currently has Kitty they do not need to know why all they care about is her safe return. Kitty is microchipped so could be dropped off at any local vets or our kennels and could then be reunited with her owners.
Kitty lives with her sister Minnie, Kitty is very nervous on her own and finds a great deal of reassurance with her sisters company. Minnie is also really missing Kitty.
Thank you so much to everyone for their help and support we are desperate to reunite them.

UPDATE - Kitty is still not back with her owners.
Kitty was picked up by 2 men in a Blue Seat Leon (we think) at approx 12.30pm at the crossroads at Astwood Bank in Redditch after she was found running in the road. The men were asking the people around the area if anyone knew the owners and seemed keen to reunite Kitty with them.
Kitty was wearing a collar with a Perry Barr RGT tag on it but it may have come off.
Someone has contacted us with these details after hearing about Kitty via Facebook so thank you so much for sharing. Please keep sharing and hopefully we can have her reunited with her family soon.

Great to hear Kitty is doing so well and gaining in confidence. She and Minnie must make a very pretty couple when they are out walking together! Xxx

Two weeks on and Kitty is really finding her feet. She is much calmer, eating well and enjoying walks with her sister. Her favourite place to sleep, inevitably, is our bed. The sisters love playing together (Minnie is a little more boisterous than Kitty possibly likes!) and we have started recall training with Kitty, which has gone well. She is also using the longer training lead without bolting or trying to get away - she sticks close to her sister and us. She really is a lovely, lovely dog.

It must have been very difficult to return her. Hopefully time with her sister will help settle her - they clearly enjoy being together and she enjoyed sleeping with her sister last night. I think that might have something to do with the run yesterday. I know the exercise helped us sleep. We are so grateful to Springy...

Julie and I are so pleased that Kitty has been fostered by Minnie's family and sure that being with her sister will help her settle. She is the most beautiful little girl that really deserves some joy in her young life. We have been so devastated and having to return her to Daybreaks that this fostering has inspired us to make a comment. Good luck Kitty xxxxxx

Kitty was reunited today with her sister Minnie and is currently sharing a bed with her after an energetic run round the fields. She's a beautiful girl and loves being around Minnie. Minnie is maybe less keen on sharing her bed!

Kitty's family are extremely sad to return her to the kennels. Despite all their efforts she is struggling to settle and they feel they are unable to give her the help she needs. They say she is a very special little girl and desperately hope she will find the right home as soon as possible. Xxx

Hi all. Kitty here.
First week over at Badger Towers and what a week. I am starting to relax a bit now and have also mastered the stairs in record time!! I now spend the night by the side of mom and dads bed with Banger on the other side of the room. They make me up a lovely comfy area for me to snuggle down in and sleep the whole night. Dad is really pleased that I am clean in the house and never yet had any accidents. I do tend to play the run round the table game when it's walk time as I am not keen to have my lead and coat on. It's the going out thing I don't like as its a bit scary out there with lots of cars and people. However, I am sure that I will get used to it in time. I may also trying to organise the hose a little better by moving things like car keys, clothes and tissues. Mom and dad just don't seem to appreciate my help and keep complaining that they can't find stuff. Well, if they cleaned up after themselves I wouldn't have to bother would I? They will soon learn. Banger has been really kind to me and let's me share his toys and play with him in the garden. I think we are going to be very close.

Any way I had better go and start cleaning up again so will catch you all later.

Well folks, my first night at Badger towers went quite well. I have a lovely comfy bed in a quiet cornner of the dining room with some nice cuddly blankets to sleep on. I have to be put on my lead to get into the garden as I am too scared to make the journey on my own but once I have made the effort I am off mooching till my hearts content. I even make my own way back to the house and straight back on my bed. Banger has been good with me but I have had to tell him off for getting too close to my bed on a couple of occasions which I don't like but he seems to understand. Banger has shown me where the water is and where dad keeps his special gravey but he gets into trouble for that so I am keeping out of the way ( for now at least). I didn't eat last night but was too stressed to face food but did eat all my breakfast much to mom and dads delight. So all I can say is so far so good and will keep all my friends back at Daybreaks updated.
