It has been a while but I wanted to give you all an update on Cally Coo. It is almost 6 months since we welcomed this cheeky girly into our lives and it is by far the best decision we ever made. She is full of love and cuddles for everyone and has taken a particular liking to my Dad - Her eyes light up every time he comes round and she often uses him as a leaning post! He considers her an honorary grandchild I think, constantly making sure we are looking after 'his' dog properly :-)! We have just enjoyed our first Christmas as a family of 5 and she enjoyed her Doggy advant calander and stocking along with a new cuddly squeeky toy that the children picked for her and a new snuggly bed! We love this girly to bits and are looking forward to 2017 with her very much. Cally sends virtual cuddles to you all and thanks you for looking after her so well and finding her a family who love her dearly :-) xxxx

Hi guys,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Cally is a real part of the family now (she is currently snuggled up on the floor next to me). She is loving her walks in the woods out the back of our house, and loves as much attention as you can give her. She is also amazing with both of our children 2 and half and 4 and a half - they love giving her cuddles and helping do her food and groom her. She is fab about this and is so patient with them. Equally the children seem to know instinctively when to leave her alone, I think this comes from having grown up with their grandparents dalmation/greyhound cross (Whom Cally also gets on very well with).

We are making slow progress with the stairs, treats are helping with this - she now puts her front paws on the 2nd step and stretches the front of her body to the 5th step to retrieve the treats. She is definitly very intrigued by going up them and I often catch her peeking round the corner to see what is going on. I think eventually with perserverance that she will find her confidence with this - she is happy using steps and stairs when we are out, I think it is just because our stairs are quite enclosed and can be quite dark. We will not give up as she is an intellegent girl and will get there eventually. We will continue to walk her around to the front of the house for now. We love her to absolute bits and couldn't imagine our lives without this black beauty. xxx

Today marks a week since we picked up the Beautiful Cally, although it feels as if she has been apart of our family forever, so I thought I would give you all an update. She has settled in so well and is great with the children. She loves her cuddles and toys and playing with my In-laws Dalmation/Greyhound cross. We have wanted a dog for so long and Cally has made our family and home complete. She is a little wary of the stairs at the moment but we will work on this once she is fully settled in. We couldn't be more in love with this cutie if we tried xxx

Just to say that Cally is settling in ok so far. She has enjoyed a walk and snoozing in the sunshine. The children have been great with her and are giving her the space she needs to find her feet in her new surroundings :-) xxx

Cally it was lovely to see you this morning. You really are looking good and your foster Mum Caroline says you are being a perfect houseguest. You still wont get on the sofa or do the stairs, but happily sleep downstairs quietly all night, and just love to distribute the contents of the toybox all over the garden whilst playing!! Surely it must be your turn soon my sweetheart, you have such a lot to offer. Keeping fingers crossed for you, and sending a huge thank you to your foster Mum for the marvellous job she has done with you. xx

We met Cally today when she was visiting Daybreaks with her foster mum.
Cally is an extra sweet grey and should be at the top of the list for anybody interested in rehoming. She has the benefit of having lived in a home already so knows how to fit in with people and is very laid back. She even stays off the sofa at home!
Cally was being groomed when we left and was really enjoying the fuss. You get the feeling that Cally would take as much attention as you could give her. A very lovely, friendly grey that deserves a nice home.

I'm Cally, been at Daybreaks since January. Cally is a sweet playful happy girl that gives lots of love , I just don't know why no one want a gorgeous little black girl that is perfect in all ways, she is a dream to be around and very funny makes you laugh all the time. On the walk today Cally was just a perfect girl, making the most of meeting lots of people. Cally has a lovely personality, she also starting to enjoy the different things going on around her. She will make someone a very special friend and give lots of love xx

I have today had the pleasure of taking Cally on a lovely sunny walk along the River Avon into Stratford together with her foster brother and sister Fred and Gracie. We were also joined by ex- Daybreaks boy Celt who has settled so wellin his new home and has become a wonderfully affectionate lad.
Cally too has settled well into domestic life in her foster home. She does however now need to find her own 'forever' home with her own 'forever' family. She is very people friendly, also loves to play with children and could definately live with other greys or larger other breeds. After todays walk she also passed her pub test with flying colours loving the attention she received from pub customers.
Anyone connidering an addition to their greyhound family please give great consideration to Daybreaks longest resident. January to June is a long time to still be waiting for her new home.

Cally my lovely, it was good to see you yesterday when you popped into the kennels with Caroline. You are looking so good - you have put on weight and look so relaxed and happy, just goes to show that you need to be out in your forever home to flourish my sweetie. Caroline says you love playing with toys, and your fun loving personality is really starting to show now. Keeping fingers crossed that your new Mum & Dad will soon be coming for you, in the meantime enjoy your time with Caroline and your Grey pals. xxx

Cally has been with Daybreaks since January. shes the most sweetest little girl, and very loving, sleeps well at night on her own downstairs, clean in the house. Cally has a really fun loving out look and enjoys playing with toys and anything she can get hold of such as moving beds around to suit her. it must be her weekend to find that loving home and to bring a ray of sunshine into someones home . good luck sweetheart xxxxxxx

Cally has been with me just over a week and I can honestly say she has been a perfect guest. I really don't know why she hasn't found that forever home she's absolutely perfect, just look at that gorgeous face how can you say no xxxxx

Cally spent another lovely weekend with us. She was so much more relaxed and self assured in the house this time, just a cursory sniff or two round the rooms on arrival then she settled on her bed and was a pleasure to be with, She definitely has a cheeky little girl hiding inside - not only did she run after a squeaky toy this time, she gently picked it up and took it to he bed then proceeded to have a mad time throwing it around, squeaking it, back end up in the air and tail going like mad! She also nearly managed a roach - I think she scared herself by nearly rolling onto her back, so she flopped back again with a very startled look on her face! We took her to Wren Hall this afternoon and she was quite happy in the company of other Greys, but was a little phased by another breed that came into the marquee and bounding up to her. I think once her self confidence improves and builds she will be better able to cope with the big, wide world, she just needs her chance now to settle into her forever home and blossom into the beautiful pet she will make. Sleep tight sweetheart, sweet dreams. xx

Well I have had another little holibobs with Shanesmum again this weekend so that I can go along to Wren Hall and see if my new Mum & Dad might be there - there is also cake apparently so I am looking forward to that!! I have been a good girl again and was a bit more confident this time, although noises do startle me and make me jump! I even had great fun with a squeaky toy. Am just getting ready for my lunchtime treat now before we get ready to go out- I must remember to leave plenty of room for cake! Big woofs to you all, Cally xx"

We have had a lovely weekend with the beautiful little Cally. One of our longest stayers, she hasn't had much opportunity to go out and about into the big, wide world. This weekend was something of a sensory overload for her! Starting with her introduction to a house, she loudly sniffed absolutely everything and had us smiling as she couldn't quite work out who that dog reflected in the TV screen was!! She was clean in the house, in the day and overnight, and let us know by walking to the back door that she needed to go out. The outside world is something of a scary place at the moment, she is quite wary of everything around her and is a little unsure of herself - but she couldn't stop that tail wagging in delight when she saw you or got some praise. She was great at Brueton Park this morning, she seems to gain confidence walking in a group. She was happier with the larger other breeds, the small fluffies really sparking her interest, but there is no aggression just a keenness to see what it is. In the right home this beautiful girl will flourish, and I think there is a playful little girl hidden away in there. Sleep well tonight sweetheart, you've had a very busy time but have done so well. "Morning all, Cally here. Well, I am up and waiting for my breakfast, then it will be time to head off to join all my pals for a walk in Brueton Park. I am having a little holibobs with Shanesmum in her house. It was quite strange at first when I got here yesterday so I had a good old sniff round to check everything out. Later on we went for a walk round the lakes. It was huge & there was so much to look at, big birds, people hitting balls with sticks I didn't know where to look first! In the afternoon we had another walk a different way and we saw some horses - I was very curious about them but they just looked at me and munched on their hay so I carried on walking. I was a good girl overnight, no accidents at all, and go to the back door when I need to go out. Shanesmum says I just need to build my confidence and get used to all the new sights and sounds of the outside world. I get nice little cheesy treats when I am a good girl, and we have had lovely snuggles and kisses. I think I would quite like to be in a home all the time now, so don't forget to come and look at me in my kennel, I am quiet so you might not notice me. Must rest up now ready for the rest of my weekend adventure. Big woofs from Cally xxx"

Cally was in the kitchen run with the adorable Eric,she is a fuss pot who just wanted lots of cuddles and attention. She got on well with Eric and also when my 10 year old son came in she was very gentle and wanted him to fuss her !!

I took the lovely Cally to Elmdon park yesterday for a few hours. She was no trouble in the car and walked really well with my grey. She was quite excited by all the other dogs in the park but showed no aggression whatsoever, just curiosity! She's a really friendly girl, who loves a bit of attention.

I had the pleasure of taking this little girl for a walk this morning. She was taking everything in - including the activities on the Rugby Club - and was as good as gold. She was also more than happy for some attention and cuddles in her kennel afterwards. Gorgeous girl x J

I met Cally this morning. What a lovely little girl. She craved affection and actually sat for me to fuss her. She also looked like she wanted to play so could be a little bundle of fun if she wanted to. Cracking little girl.
