Hello Summer. I think I recognise you as Rebel & a girlie that I walked with Ebony some years ago as a first meet. You loved Ebony but turned out to be cat 'crazy' so we couldn't take you home, taking Lady instead. I think about you often and I wish you love & luck for a new home girlie xxx

Hi Jensen it is a great shame but we had 3 days of wetting which could be Riley been upset or summer but your right she deserves a forever sofa please someone look at her the weekend she's adorable xx

Oh dear, she had one little 'tiddle' the first night with us to be expected but no more after that for the week but who knows like you say Ruth, one of them was upset either way. I wish we could have continued to foster this amazing girl but we have a very small dog and she could not adjust to him being a dog,if you know what I mean lol, we coped as long as we did because she was so adorable we wanted her mouth better before returning her so kept them separated in the end. Please someone give her a chance as I have said so many times she is so affectionate and would really blossom in the right home, this girl needs a sofa to retire to, she so deserves it. Go see her at the weekend, you wont be disappointed!

Summer is a beautiful affectionate and fun loving girl with loads to offer she just wants lots of fusses some dogs love company but some love there own space and I think Riley s happier on his own so does mean summer has to be big hugs lovely girl xx

Summer is back at the kennels as whilst she was in her foster home with Riley the greyhound, one of them was having accidents. As there is no way of finding out which one is having the accidents, we felt it best if Summer came back to Daybreaks.

I dont know if Summer will be at the kennels this weekend but if not Im sure you can arrange to meet her, she is the most affectionate girl you could come across. She loves her cuddles and will paw you to have more! She is house trained, will play with you and let you take the toys from her and will dispence kisses all day long. She is one lovely grey waiting for her sofa, although she is borrowing bernadette's at the mo! ;)

Thats exactly what we found when we fostered Summer Bernadette, she is no trouble and very affectionate, we are surprised she hasnt found her sofa yet. Im sure some lucky person will spot her soon and snap her up! :)

Summer is doing extremely well she's eating both of her meals loving her walks just needs more social skills when going past other breeds of dogs on the way back from her walk she doesn't take any notice she's the perfect house guest clean and very quiet at night time takes herself of to bed asks for her fleecy house coat adorable belly rubs and kisses xx

Just got back home with summer she's fast asleep on Riley's bed she left Riley the duvet a few growls of summer but Riley's letting her get on with it xx

We could foster summer we have Riley who's a greyhound and socialises well but doesn't get on with other breeds xx

Well Summer had a trip to the vets for a check up today and was such a good girl, all the staff there have fallen in love with her. In fact they were really busy but spent time sat on the floor (two of them!) having loads of Summer kisses, licky, licky,licky! :p

Summer has been no trouble at all to foster, she only needs a little more socialising but apart from that very small issue she is a star! She will be content with fuss and cuddles all day, so if there are any spare children around she would love that! Who ever gets to home this very pretty girl will be loved back tenfold. :) x

Can anyone help with fostering Summer for a short time, she is showing interest in the small dog in her foster home at the moment and would ideally be best in a home with another greyhound or a larger dog.

If anyone would like to meet the gorgeous and sooooo loving Summer I am free to bring her up to the kennels today any time as I dont live far. x

Must add, Summer has had a dental with teeth removed and had a very sore mouth but she has been a poppet when ever I have had to get medication in her mouth. Even at the vets today for her check up having her mouth pulled about there was now anger from her, she would be lovely with children. I cant BIG her up enough!

Who is going to be the very, very lucky person/family to rehome this wonderful girl? She is house trained, extremely, extremely affectionate, playful and very pretty! What more could you ask for? We have fostered her since Thursday and she has been the perfect house guest so far, such fun to have around, one very smashing girl for your sofa.......come on you know you want her!! Be quick coz I think she is soooo fab she will be snapped up! :) x

Really pleased that Summer had a lovely walk today at Stratford she really is a beautiful girl, very friendly and loving. She did have breakfast this morning but didn't eat it all, crafty thing probably wanted to leave room for the yummy sausages.

Summer came with me Meg and my little lurcher to Stratford today she let them both know she was the boss and then snuggled down in the back of the car with Meg.She thoroughly enjoyed herself today sniffing about and lapping up all the cuddles bestowed her.She looks so much younger than 9 years old and seemed much happier out and about than in the kennels where she is very stressed having been in a home for 4 years.She had not eaten her breakfast this morning but I was glad to see she enjoyed the sausage treats on the walk.I hadn't realised she hadn't eaten breakfast until I returned her back to DAYBREAKS if I had she would have had doggy treats galore on the walk.She is a very beautiful looking girl who really does need to be back in a home.Perhaps some kind person would be willing to foster her while her forever home is found.She really did not want to go back in her kennel this afternoon-heart breaking.

it used to take me 1 minute every other day to brush my bonnies teeth no hardship...she lost 9 at doggy dentist. it is so important....xx

Why do people not look after their dogs teeth? As a human thats had tooth ache I know how horrid it is and we always ask when Zigg is at the vets to have them checked. An animal cannot tell you when its in pain, so it is up to us as owners to hopefully to make sure that doesn't happen. Never mind Summer, Aunty Ruth will sort you out. xxx

When I popped into the kennels I saw Summer and broke my heart at the sorry state she was in - her teeth are awful but she is just so affectionate.... if I hadn't got such a full house with my own, she would be here having some TLC right now. She gets my hug today x
