So very sad to hear you have lost your beautiful girl...I remember when you visited the kennels to bring in some donations; you were both adamant you were not going to have another Greyhound, BUT a certain pretty Ladysmith had other ideas. :) She had a super, happy life with you. It was great to see Ladysmith and her family today; she was a very happy girl! She had a lovely pamper with Jess, although she was not too impressed with the hairdryer! Sending her my cuddle tonight. Xxx

Completely agree with Shanesmum about LSmith. A delightful hound and full of character. Can also polish off a treat in a nano second.

This little girl is a real cutie. She can be a bit vocal - but its just her saying "I'm here, please don't ignore me I just want to come out to play!" Although she was kenneled with a pal, she is quite happy on her own (all the more attention for her!). She just loves her toys and delights in having an absolute mad 5 minutes racing around, throwing things around and rearranging the bedding! Then she'll lie so beautifully to watch the world go by - my cuddle for her tonight and my hope is she's next to find her home. She is now gracing my phone as screensaver - so watch this space!! x

Walked Ladysmith this morning... a perfect grey to walk... no trouble and walked well with other greys... only a matter of time til shes ready for that comfy sofa.... xxx

Said hello to Alan and Ladysmith on the Stratford Walk yesterday and saw her again today at kennels for a long nose stroke. Then Simon took her and Sammy on a walk while I sorted out Evie's paperwork and some more kibble. She really is a loving, affectionate girl.

Today we took Ladysmith for a day out at the Stratford walk. She travelled well in the car in the space Paddy left for her. She enjoyed herself walking with so many hounds and having so many treats. This little girl is real gem, no problems whatsoever with non greyhounds. There was even a guide dog puppy with us today on training who was very friendly to the greys. Ladysmith said hello in a friendly manner then carried on taking in all the sights and sounds. At the end of the walk although quiet tired the sausages and treats could not be ignored and were dispatched quickly yum yum! We then headed back to Daybreaks with two contented hounds. Whoever adopts this girl will be very lucky indeed,we could not fault her in anyway.An absolute pleasure to take out and very hard to put back into her kennel. If we were looking for another then she would be top of our list xx

Ladysmith really doesn't like being cooped up in her kennel, so she spent the afternoon in the kitchen today. She was definitely much happier in company, and was content to be around the Greys and Sara's non Greys that were in the kitchen today. She is a lovely girl, and just wants to be involved in what's going on around her. xx

Ladysmith isn't keen on being in her kennel, so she came into the kitchen and "helped" prepare the dinners this afternoon. She just had a look in the dishes to see what was on the menu. :) She was great with Skip, although he was very unsociable and went to sleep! What a lovely girl. Xxx

" I will train whatever family I settle down with never to take me out for a walk in the rain" she looks beautiful will someone please give her a real big kiss from me X

The 1st Stratford Walk of the year was given an awful weather forecast but amazingly the Weather Gods relented and the hour long walk was completed in dry conditions
I took Lady Smith along for a day out and must say that this sweet lovable girl is beginning to blossom into an absolutely wonderful greyhound.
Her trainers comments that she is not always the best with other dogs are the complete opposite of what I have found with both her visit to Elmdon Park last Tuesday with me and at todays Stratford Walk.
She mixed well with all the other greys today in absolutely exempelary manner. NO problems whatsoever. She also passed other breeds of dogs( some very noisy!) on the walk with no issues at all.
She can be easily startled so being homed with boisterous small children may not be ideal.
This exceptionally sweet affectionate girl who travels well in the car and is very relaxed on the lead will prove to be a fantastic loving companion to the lucky person who finally offers her the forever home she so deserves.

What a difference a week makes. I went to see how Ladysmith is getting on and I was greeted by a very happy looking hound. We went for a walk and she is very easy to handle.
Lovely, lovely little hound.

Ladysmith is a very happy, friendly little girl. She is always pleased to see you and her tail is always wagging! Xxx

Lady Smith is really sweet. She is a little shy but walked beautifully and stood nicely when she had her lead and muzzle on. Hope a sofa is free for her very soon. xx

What a sweet looking girl. Hope she has now recovered from the bathing experience and is snuggled up in her nice warm kennel.

I helped Alison bath this little beauty today (and took this pic). It was all a bit overwhelming for Ladysmith today and by the time Alison had cleaned her up, she was exhausted. She soon settled down in her new comfy and warm kennel. I went to check on her before I left and I get the feeling that she will soon become a favourite in the kennels - if she's there long enough!
