Just a quick update about Dez. Now called Bunnie. We rehomed him just a week ago to keep Gracie company after we sadly lost our old boy George. Bunnie is a total joy & makes us laugh with his daft antics, he is a very special boy. He has bonded well with Gracie, who was missing her old partner in crime & has settled into our routine so very quickly. After a few tiny puddles over the weekend is now totally clean in the house even when left for a few hours when I'm at work, where I can see on the cctv he & Gracie snuggled on a bed together in the sitting room. The only thing he is still scared of in the house is the TV, but seems to be overcoming this sitting with us for 5 minutes last night with the TV on, before he retreated to the bed in the hall. He is enjoying 2 good walks a day & is happy & tired so settles down well. We are the same, we have been a geriatric greyhound home for a few years now & had forgotten how exhausting a younger dog can be, but its very rewarding to see him coming out of his shell. I will email a few pics when I work out how!

We really enjoyed meeting you very briefly today whilst we were spending time with Tess-your new owners are lovely and your new partner in crime-Gracie-looked a beautiful dog. I'm sure you'll all have much fun. Enjoy your forever home!!! Xx

Dez spent the day in the office with Joe and Foxy again today. He was such a good boy, very quiet and relaxed. He loved being groomed by the visiting school children this afternoon. Xxx

Dez is such a handsome hound! On arrival at Daybreaks today he greeted us by sticking his head through the (open!) office window and giving us kisses. He was enjoying spending time with Ruth, Joe and Foxy but was quite willing to come out for his walk and behaved beautifully. A real superstar! xx

Dez is a super lad, very happy, very friendly but he doesn't like kennel life. I really hope a forever home will soon be his. Xxx

A lovely walk down the lane with Dez this afternoon. He was ready for a walk by the time that I got to the kennels so we went straight out. Dez really enjoys his walks and is a pleasure to be with.

What a gorgeous boy! Met the lovely Dez at Pets At Home today and instantly fell in love with him. Such a friendly happy boy and just loves cuddles. Will make a wonderful pet! Sending you a massive hug Dez xxx

Greyhounds are such an amazing breed of dog that they can never cease to amaze you.
Dez only arrived at Daybreaks 4 days ago after a long racing career of 126 races yet within 2 minutes of arriving at todays Stratford Pets at Home awareness he was inter acting in a wonderful friendly manner with a Jack Russell and Dalmatian who were happy to make his acquaintance.
Throughout the 4 hours he was there he behaved in a happy friendly way with all he met including children as young as 1 year of age.
He traveed perfectly in the car.
A wonderful dog who will be as successful as a family companion as he was on the racetrack.
