Say hello to Jane for me and I hope she gets in touch

Today we met our new neighbour, Jane Dagnall, who asked us to say hi! She doesn't have a greyhound at the moment but Gracie was happy to accept all cuddles. It's been 3 months now and we are still having a great time together. Gracie loves her walks but she is getting a few cuts from the brambles. I think she thinks it's worth it but looks like she's been in on a battlefield. Grumpy cat is still making her presence felt but we've moved on from claws to hissing. Poor Gracie is still worried by her but not in mortal danger.

So proud of Gracie today. We let her off her lead on the beach and she had a wonderful time. She went to play with the other dogs but she came back regularly to find us which was great! Not exactly perfect recall but we're getting better.

At the end of week ten it feels like Gracie is really at home with us. Watching her running around the fields is so much fun because she looks like she's having a great time. She seems quite happy to inhale a lump of cheese (hiding her medicine) twice a day too. Grumpy cat is really improving. We get the occasional grumble when Gracie is rushing around but she doesn't seem to need to stalk her any more which is a blessing. They may not ever be the best of friends but we can live with that. Happy days!

The results are in and Gracie has an under active thyroid. She will start her medicine on Monday and hopefully be fully fit very soon. The vet is pleased that we found it early and we are so glad it has turned out to be something easy to treat.

Blood tests tomorrow. Will keep everyone posted but she is much better today so we are hopeful she will be fine x

Sadly this week Gracie has been poorly. The vet has recommended blood tests so we will get to the bottom of it next week. In the meantime we have learned that Gracie is not a firework fan as we were in Birmingham during Divali but we don't have so many in Devon so that's a plus. Grumpy cat's attacks are definitely lessening which is a relief. It's only really in the evenings that she is really a pest. Even though she was not on best form Gracie has been having lots of fun playing with her new lurcher friend Daisy. Daisy isn't used to being outrun so watching them chasing each other is wonderful and good for them both.

I do worry about separation issues but we will have to sort that out when she doesn't have to contend with a ball of fluff launching at her from under tables and chairs. I read somewhere that the dog becomes addicted to it's owner but really it is us who are addicted to her in this case x

How lovely Gracie gets the chance to spend lots of time with you. :) Shame Grumpy cat is still grumpy! Hopefully with time she will mellow towards her sister. Xxx

At the end of week 7 Gracie continues to be a joy. It's lucky we don't need her as a guard dog because she welcomes all visitors with the waggiest tail and lots of cuddles. We have been a bit stricter with Grumpy cat but it's fair to say she still likes to make Gracie feel unwelcome particularly in the evening. The rest of the day is not too bad though so that's progress. We need to start leaving her more as Grumpy cat gives her some peace but luckily she comes with us everywhere because she's so well behaved and everyone loves her.

Now into week 6 and Gracie is still being an angel. She comes when she's called as long as she's not too busy. She did draw the line when the organ started at harvest festival and started to heckle the vicar, who was very understanding and says we can try again next year. Today our big cat decided to use her as a step to get to his dinner and she didn't move although she did look a bit shocked. Grumpy cat still has her moments which is a shame but we remain hopeful!

Sounds like little Gracie is having a wonderful time with you! Poor Grumpy cat...hope she will make friends with Gracie eventually. :) Xxx

At the end of week 4 Gracie has been having fun racing around the field at the back of our house now that the sheep have gone. We love watching her flying along! Lucily she was back on her lead when a deer appeared while we walked through the next field as she was very excited and I don't know how we would have got het back. Grumpy cat is still the same but we are developing better strategies to avoid too much stress. Still got everything crossed that she will eventually realise that Gracie is no threat to her.

At the end of week three Gracie has been to the beach and a forest and has met the Gruffalo. She has stayed in a hotel and generally been as good as gold. The grumpy cat varies from sleeping within a few feet or ambushing from under the dining table but we are hopeful things are still getting better on the whole. Our big cat walks under her tummy with no issues!

It's now the end of week 2 and we are all settling down. Still a bit of hissing fron Grumpy cat but we have a routine which seems to be working now. Gracie has met even more friends and everyone loves her, especially us!

At the end of week one we are pleased to report that Gracie has been an angel. She had been very busy meeting children and dogs and has taken it all in her stride. Ths cats are mellowing slowly and we can all be in the same room as long as certain demarkations are preserved. Happy days!

Gracie has met our neighbour's dog and was such a good girl. Grumpy cat is not ready to give up yet but is definitely getting better. Gracie is so very cuddly and we are thrilled to have her.

Today Gracie has been sunbathing and avoiding a grumpy cat. At least our other cat is being kind.

Do hope Gracie and your little cat form some sort of truce! Xxx

She's being such a good girl. Our little cat is being a real monster and stalking her. Hopefully they'll settle down very soon.

A lovely walk with Susie yesterday and her name tag is now ready to go too. Now she's coming home next week we're even more excited!

Home visit went well so hopefully in a month today she'll be here with us!

So glad we've found this little lady. Can't wait to bring her home.
