Just an update on Wolfy now we have had him a whole year. He is doing really well and is now used to being a spoilt rotten retired greyhound. He is a verrrrry cheeky daddys boy with a very mischievous streak. Considering how timid he was he is a totally different dog now and has the whole family wrapped around his paw. How much we love him is beyond words and could not think of life now without him. He was the best decision we ever made xx

Wolfy popped into see us today. He looks great! He is still quite shy but has gained so much more confidenc. It's obvious he loves his Daddy. Xxx

So lovely to hear how Wolfy is enjoying his new life, he sounds very loved and cherished, life would be so empty without these wonderful hounds, just love them xxxxxxx

Just to update everyone on Wolfy. We have had him over six months now and he is one happy boy. He is doing really well and really coming into his own and boy he is a cheeky, lovable boy whom we absolutely adore. He is still a tiny bit nervous when outside and still shakes a bit but that is a combination of nervousness and excitement because he loves to be outside. He loves the garden. He adores his bed, blankets and toys and above all he really loves his food. He’s been on holiday to Cornwall and North Yorkshire and loves the beach and he is happiest when on his bed or in a big huge quiet piece of open ground. He adores daddy .....daddy is number one to him . Above all he is spoilt rotten , thinks he’s the boss and is absolutely adore by all of us. Cant imagine life without him now. He is loved beyond words. And as for Gizmo the cat, well he at least tolerates Wolfy now lol xxxxx

Great to hear Wolfy has had a fantastic time on his first holiday! Bet he looked fantastic racing along the beach. :)) Xxx

So Wolfys been to a couple of pubs and the beach in Cornwall. He absolutely loved the beach. We let him off his lead and he was off like a rocket and to see him run to his full potential was awesome. The greyhound really came out in him and he was bounding around and was so happy it was great to see. We love this dog so much xx

So been to Melbicks today to see Wolfys brothers and sisters and he was absolutely AMAZING very good and sat whilst we had toast and coffee in Costa. Still a weeny bit nervous when big crowds of people are around him but even the people from Daybreak’s who were collecting money for the trust could see a vast improvement with him so must be doing something right. Off to Cornwall in a week cannot wait xx

So pleased to hear about Wolfys progress, just shows what love, time, patience, and understanding can do to turn a nervous dog into a happy and eventually confident dog, well done to you all, and wishing you many years of happiness with your special boy xxxxxxxx

So its official, Wolfy has a voice. Whilst running up and down the garden chasing daddy and going down on the front in the playing pose, he started to bark. Not daddy lol, but Wolfy. He was bounding up and down the garden barking and is even bringing back the ball to us. Cannot wait to get him on the beach. Think we have a happy boy on our hands xx

I can confirm Wolfy looked a very handsome lad in his new coat! :)) Xxx

So, its official, Wolfy has more coats than I do. Been to the kennels with him today to get his waterproof Winter coat. We chose a lovely little Burgundy number which suits him well. Then we went to Melbicks for a coffee and a cake and, even though he’s still a bit nervous, he sat down on his blanket for ages whilst we ate our cake and drank our coffee. At home he is really coming out of his shell and we are beginning to see the cheeky boy he will eventually become. Like I say, he’s still quite nervous outside but improving slowly. He loves his daddy and taps daddys leg with his paw when he gets excited about going out for his walk. He loves mommy as well but I’m more of a comfort blanket to go to when he is nervous. We absolutely ADORE him to pieces and really looking forward to taking him to Cornwall at the end of November for a few days xx

A holiday without our Alfie is not the same now, he loves going to the beach and paddling in the sea. Most restaurants & pubs in Cornwall will accommodate a dog if your ask. Give it a try you will not regret it & Wolfy will love it even more.

Hope you all had a good holiday despite missing your gorgeous Wolfy so much. We have always taken our lovely dogs on holiday with us as I can't bare the thought of them not being with us. There are so many places that accept pets now and a lot of pubs and restaurants are happy to allow them in. I'm sure Wolfy would love to see the sea! :) Xxx

So got my Wolfy back yesterday. OMG how we did miss him. Soooooooo happy he is back home and fell right into his routine like he hadn't been away. Next year no holidays abroad and having cottages in the countryside so he can join us. Love this beautiful boy sooooo much xx

Don’t worry LadyJayne-Wolfy is enjoying his hols with his new mates Foxy and Joe! He sleeps on the sofa, knows to come flying for the word ‘treat’ and has become very confident.... xxx

We are missing our boy Wolfy like crazy. Next year he is definitely coming with us somewhere nice in the countryside for him to have a good run around. See you soon my beautiful boy. Love you loads xx

Wolfy spent the afternoon in the office after his Mom and Dad dropped him off at the kennels. He is such a good boy. I think he can be sure he will be packing his little suitcase to go on holiday with them next year! Hope you have a lovely time. Xxx

Saw Barney today and he was absolutely gorgeous. A bit nervous like my boy Wolfy but I gave him a pet and he was lovely. Took Wolfy back to Daybreaks today for a little stay cus of going away tomorrow to Gran Canaria but cant wait to get him back on the 15th and never, never, never going away again without Wolfy lol ......see you soon Wolfy and mommy loves you loads xxxxxxxx

Went to Melbicks yesterday with mommy and daddy and bumped into Barney. He was like me, very nervous, but my mommy and daddy gave him a fuss (and then fussed me afterwards just in case I got jealous) which I didn't because I know my mommy and daddy love me loads. Today, though I've had to come back to Daybreaks because mommy and daddy are going on holiday to a place called Gran Canaria and I'm not allowed to go. Still, ill have a lovely time with Ruth and my brothers and sisters and mommy promised me she will be back soon to take me back home. Mommy cried, A LOT, but she gave me a kiss and told me she would be back soon and knowing mommy and daddy, they will bring me a treat for when I get back. Update on Wolfy he's doing brilliantly and we love lovelove him to pieces with us he is really beginning to show his personality and he's going to be a cheeky boy . Outside and with other people he is still a bit nervous but even in a month of us having him he has come along leaps and bounds literally xx

So pleased to read about Wolfy's adventures, it is great that he is settling and beginning to come out of his shell xx

Wolfy came to use the sand run on Thursday, he looked super! His new Mom told us he is a real Daddy's boy, she makes his dinner and picks up the poo! :)) Xxx

So Wolfy has been to Melbicks today to see his brothers and sisters and got on really well beings it was his first proper outing and he was absolutely amazing in the car. He is an absolute delight. Still very,very nervous but he stood next to me looking around whilst we were having a coffee and a sandwich watching the other dogs with interest but was so good. Greyhounds are just THE best xx

Just to let everyone know Wolfy is doing OK and have noticed a vast improvement in just a couple of days. He's just been for a walk and met a very excited Husky and he didnt bat an eyelid. Just had a bowlful of food a nice drink of water and a treat .....still have to put it in front of him and wont take it from my hand not yet ....... now he is snuggled on his bed and waiting for us to put a movie on. We absolutely love him and he's an absolute delight.....however the cat isnt too keen at the moment. Wolfy has seen him and again wasnt bothered its the cat that has the problem but even that was just a tiny smidge better xx

Shy little Wolfy went off with his new family today. They were so excited to be taking him home! Wishing them all loads of happiness.xx

Wolfy met Ava, a Miniature Dachshund today. He was a perfect gentleman with her! Xxx

Wolfy had his neutering operation today. He was understandably a little wobbly when he got back to the kennels. Sure he will feel better tomorrow. Xxx

When we opened up the kennels this morning lovely Wolfy got off his bed and came to greet me with a waggy tail! He also he ate all his breakfast and dinner out in the run instead of his kennel. He is adorable. Xxx

I made friends yesterday with Wolfy. He's a little bit nervous at least until he gets to know you but i'm confident that given time and his own little bit of space he will be a lovely happy loving pet for some lucky family. It will just take a little bit of time and patience but what better reward than to gain the trust and love of a shy nervous dog and he's so lovely too xx

Ah Wolfy, you get our BIG family cuddle today beautiful and we've got our fingers & paws crossed that you're soon snuggled up on the cosiest sofa. Our little poppet suffered a nasty hock injury during her racing life, but this hasn't slowed her down, if anything it's made her more determined not to miss out on long walks, racing around the garden with big sis and standing on her back legs in excitement when her lead is shaken. Big hugs gorgeous xxxx

Wolfy is a very special boy. He sadly fractured his back right tibia in three places, but thanks to the care and patience of his trainer he has made a great recovery and is looking for a special forever home where he can start to enjoy the next chapter of his life. Xxx

Spent some time grooming wolfy today, he's so nervous, but I'm sure with lots of patience will start to come out of his shell little by little which will be wonderful to watch :) xxx

Met Wolfy today as he was having his breakfast. He didn't want to eat so I went into the run to try and persuade him but all he wanted was fuss and was even less inclined to eat! He is a lovely softy and will be so rewarding for someone to help him become more confident. Definitely having my cuddle Wolfy boy xxx
