Ollie's owners sent me this very sad email.... we are heartbroken to read the news.

Ollie passed away Saturday evening after having 4 fits in one day. all very sad here. He was only 7 just going into his 8th year.
RIP 21.03.2015 - 14.01.2023.

Hi all Ollie has had his 3rd Birthday on Wednesday. XXX He had a very exciting day with his new friend the caterpillar & sleeping partner. Trying to put picture up but done know how to. He is sooo lovely I dont know how I didnt get a greyhound before. Thanks to Pete it his fault. Love Ollie to bits. xx

Hi sorry sooo late in replying I was not looking properly on logging in not good with computers, lol. Ollie is fine and very well, he had a lovely Christmas plying with tennis balls and raggers. Did not get squeakers, didnt want my ears to suffer. Hope you all had a good Christmas & wishing you all a Happy New Year. He has found his match with our lurcher Tiggi whos 10months old ,shame I havent got a mansion it would be great to have more grey hounds.

Ollie is settling in very nicely with his new mates ( 5 in all )
he loves a cuddle and play with the others. Today out in the snow, huum not sooo sure its wet on my feet cold Brrrr. Going for a lie down. Ollie & his play mates. XX

We were so happy to hear Ollie had been rehomed almost immediately...it was our best hope! And so glad he was settling well. We do miss him and wonder about him daily but know we did the right thing for him and us... do miss his heavy sighs and the odd snore at night though!! Do keep in touch and enjoy him, he's a beautiful boy....x

Ollie (Cloud) is doing well in his new home and has new friends to play with too :) So sad things didn't work out for him in his previous home but I hope knowing he has found another home so quickly will be of some comfort to Grannygrey. Xxx

We were adopting James ( now Timmy) as Cloud was being returned. The owner was clearly upset at having to return him and urged us to have him. We had already made a selection though. I'm not surprised he's gone already as he was so lovely. I hope the previous owner finds this helps with the sadness at having to return him xxx

I can understand how Grannygrey must be feeling. When I added a third Grey another girl to our boy/girl duo, the girls bit each other and I was constantly on pins in case it happened again. Taking Ruth's advice, whenever Gracie grumbled at Ellie she had her nose sprayed with water and put in the kitchen for a few minutes. Seven years later we still have the girls and they love each other. It really does take time, patience and strong nerves
and in my case I was not allowing Gracie to take the place of Alpha female because that's my role! xx

If anyone wants to know any more about him that may help him have a speedy rehoming happy to talk... thank you to all the lovely people who care for these lovely boys and girls.

He needs some with small fluffies , but walks beautifully on his lead. He loves toys - but sometimes thinks things lying around are his to play with too! Otherwise is a perfect laid back very handsome
gentleman. Has had recent health check in vets and vaccinations just done. We have had the saddest day and hope he is soon on someone elses comfy sofa and getting lots of hugs which he deserves...

It was after agonising few weeks that we returned Ollie (Cloud). It is 100% not any fault of his. He came to us as a timid boy not able to be in the same room as us and blossomed in to a loving boy . He is totally house trained, has no had one accident since being with us. We have another girl who made his life and our life a bit difficult. He tolerated her so well but for family peace and sanity we had to reduce to one dog.

No you're certainly NOT mad Grannygrey We all know they are addictive ! You know the moto..adopting a greyhound won't change the world but the world will surely change for that greyhound Go for it !! X

Met cloud today, his pictures don't do him justice OMG he is gorgeous xxxxx

Cloud has today visited Brueton Park only 2 days after joining us at Daybreaks.
He travels well in the car actually jumping in on his own at the park after his walk.
He met other breeds of all shapes and sizes without any problems whatsoever. A good walker on the lead who will be a wonderful addition to the family home of whoever is lucky enough to offer that home.

You young man just have to get our cuddle today as your grandads are the Dad's of our 2 beauties (hope that makes sense!). Such a handsome little fella with a cool name, me thinks your stay at Daybreaks will be a short one! Big hugs beautiful xxxx
