Roy and Saddle were the perfect double act....there was no way we could have split them up. Xxx Not the easiest of boys to home, but thanks to Helen and Andy they have had a wonderful happy home together. :)) Xxx

Roy accompanied me at Melbicks this afternoon and was a total dream... Nothing fazed him at all... He took screaming kids, balloons, babies crying, banging of trollies and baskets, ALL sizes of dogs... Even being jumped on by a puppy when he was lying on the floor, he didn't react to anything.... He was a dream.... Not nervous or stressed at all... Such a good boy.... Well done Roy you made us all proud of you. Xx

Roy and his brother Saddle have come such a long way since I first met them at the beginning of the year. They walked so nicely today and it would be great if they could find an experienced owner with whom they could share their life and love. They're intelligent boys who need to find their own sofa. 'My boys' - Roy and Saddle are so intelligent and I think this is why they get stressed at the kennels (especially Saddle) as they love the mental stimulation. I have now trained them to recall in the sand run and next week we have several trips to the park planned for our next step of training. I love them so much.....

Took Roy and Saddle out for their afternoon constitutional and they walked very nicely. They are super boys xx

I took Roy and Saddle out to Elmdon Park yesterday, doing lots of walking with direction changes to stop them pulling. Roy was moderately interested in the different birds, ducks etc, but didn't pull hard on the lead. He seemed very uncertain of how to react when we saw a labrador and I think if he can meet some dogs other than large dogs (we met an Irish wolfhound and he was fine), he will learn that they are fine and nothing to worry about. I think it is just because he hasn't had the experience. A few more walks in the park will help I'm sure xx

I was so saddened to hear that Roy and Saddle were back at the kennels. If only my own circumstances were different, they would be mine forever despite their naughtiness!....... :-(

Very sadly Roy and Saddle have been returned to the kennels today. Although in the home they have been very good and learnt a lot about having good manners, unfortunately when out and about they have proved to be a little too much for their owners to cope with and they feel as though someone with more experience with dogs would be able to help the boys adjust to life outside of the kennel environment. They are very upset to have had to make this decision and feel they have let them down. We are grateful to them for giving them a chance but we maybe need to reconsider what the boys need and what would be the best solution for them finding their forever home or homes would be. They are currently fast asleep and quite settled. Xxx

Roy and Saddle are just gorgeous together!! About 18 months ago we adopted two very similar hounds Ronnie n Reggie, as I look at Ron now upside down on the sofa, legs waving on the air as he sleeps and Reggie, flat out snoring in front of the log fire, I realise I couldnt be happier!! They make me laugh out loud every day with their stupidity, whether its Reggie raiding the bin or Ronnie trying to sit on my lap!! They ask for nothing other than to be with us, a daily walk and their dinner....its a bit like me really!!

Roy and Saddle are just adorable. They are litter brothers and have never been separated. I had them at home for a few nights to give them a break from the kennels and to see how they reacted to home life..... they could not be more perfect!!!! They were clean, settled and very easy to manage! Please give us a call if you would like to trial or foster to see if they would make a perfect family. They are gentle on the lead and just need each other...... Sadly they are not cat friendly.

Roy is just the cutest little boy you've ever met! He's an angel on the lead and follows his brother everywhere... They just need to be given a chance and I know they will make wonderful pets! They've missed out on a lot in their life so far, they need an understanding home to Show them how to be a real pet :)

Jess and I spent sometime sitting with Roy and brother Saddle this afternoon. They really are delightful boys and very happy in each others company. In the right home they will thrive and be lovely friends and companions. You only have to see Ronnie and Reggie with their lovely Mom and Dad to see how happy they are being together in a great home...it would be wonderful if the same could happen for Saddle and Roy. Xxx

Oh my goodness this is really sad to hear! I have previously homed one dog and when we lost him we then adopted 2 together. I am not going to lie when we adopted the 2 together I seriously wondered if we had done the right thing. Rehoming any dog takes a lot of patience, time, commitment and dedication when 2 come together it can take a little longer for them to settle. However I can honestly say the reward is significant, you get double the trouble :) humour, cheekiness and the best bit double cuddles. I really hope someone is out there with a bit heart who can offer these boys the support they need to be homed together and in return earn all their love and cuddles, its amazing!!! Good luck boys, you are both very handsome and if I had room I would snap you up. Having 2 identical hounds is already confusing so if I had 4 I think I would be going round in circles all day!! :)))))

Sadly Roy and Saddle have come back to the kennels. The family are very upset at having to return them. We gave as much help and advice as possible before they took them home but they found having both boys far more demanding then they expected. Sometimes we are all guilty of letting our hearts rule our heads. Hopefully the right home will soon be theirs. Xxx
