Spent time with Alfie today both in his kennel and walking him. He is gentle and friendly and will I think make a lovely canine friend. He shares a kennel with the effervescent and gorgeous Jilly with no problem. Love this boy xx

Ok, so the handsome Alfie is now my phone screensaver - everyone keep your fingers crossed that the magic works again! I'm at a loss as to why this happy chap is still with us, he can be a bit vocal and boisterous to start with - but soon calms down when out of his kennel. Lets hope his very own sofa comes along soon. xx

I love Alfie's character. He is the only hound I have ever walked that gives me the impression the he is doing me a favour by allowing me to walk him. He's fabulous and whoever adopts him will have a dog with a lovely personality. xx

If you are considering adopting a greyhound, it’s a wonderful time to visit daybreaks. There are so many wonderful hounds waiting for a new home and Alfie is a really special lad. I can promise you that if you were to adopt Alfie, he would be you bestist friend ever.

I kept coming for rubs and have the most dreamy heart melting eyes how on earth are you still in kennels? After his walk this afternoon the very well mannered Alfie went into his kennel and brought a lump to my throat when he gave me 'the hound eyes' ,you all know what I mean, when I left him xx

Spent time with this lovely lad in his kennel today. He was very happy to lie on his bed and accept lots of ear rubs. He's an absolute delight and pleasure to walk:-)

Helped with Alfie's health check today. What a good boy he is, so responsive and he did like having his ears cleaned! Walked perfectly again. He is a super hound x

Alfie is a smasher. He is friendly, he walks beautifully on the lead, he responds well when you speak to him (come on Alfie this way). A bright, intelligent, gentle hound who seems totally relaxed.

I took this lovely boy to the park today. He jumped in and out of the car very happily and walked beautifully. He was fascinated by the park and couldn't decide which direction to look in first!! He showed absolutely no interest however in meeting other dogs and if a dog approached him, he moved away as quickly as possible. Maybe he was just too busy enjoying the new sights and smells to bother socialising! He is very easy to walk and will make someone a great companion. A very friendly and well behaved dog xx

Walking Alfie is quickly becoming one of my favourite parts of the day at the kennels. He's brilliant on the lead and just in general such a lovely affectionate boy. Whoever ends up with this handsome lad will be so lucky xx

Well - I thought Alfie was handsome when I saw his photo! I met him briefly today and he is every bit as gorgeous in the flesh. Seems like a lovely friendly boy as well.

Alfie was such a good boy when we took him to the vets today. He and Bolt were great in the car together. He stood quietly while Christian checked him over and gave him his vaccination injection. The poor lad has to go back for another dental at the beginning of next month. :( On the way out he met a Labrador he said Hello very nicely :)) He is a big lad but is absolutely adorable. Xxx
