I had the pleasure of walking Diddy today and he is still the lovely boy I remember from his previous stay. He stood nicely while I leaded him up, walked beautifully, leaned against me if we stood still and enjoyed a cuddle when I returned him to his kennel. Really hope someone can give this boy a chance. Sending him a cuddle tonight. Xx

Oh Diddy you are so like my boy Dylan, who is sadly now over Rainbow bridge.We adopted him after he had been sent down from RGT up north to try and find him a home as he had been a long time without one. He then waited 12 months at Monmore RGT until we found him, a little grey muzzled hound aged 6 who looked older than his years.They had nick-named him The Gent. I remember Pam D saying when she came to see me "look at that poor old soul". He turned out to be anything but. He had a leg removed aged 9 after a sudden break caused by cancer and lived a full and happy life for another 3 1/2 years. My favorite video of him is him running around our garden in the snow with our 3 other Greys, still fast and full of joy.I think he stayed around so long because he new he was so loved (just like Foxy). I hope someone can give Diddy a chance.I love Older black boys and girls but sometimes they can be overlooked with so many hounds needing a forever home. Maybe Diddy can be someone's Dylan. I hope so xx

So sad for Diddy. He really didn't want to be back at the kennels. I do hope he won't have to wait too long for a new home. Xxx

The handsome Diddy is now gracing my phone as my current screensaver. After yesterday's day in the kitchen, this morning he was in the office being such a good boy again. After being fussed for a little while, his eyes started to close and I think he would have happily stood there until he fell asleep!! All he asks is a quiet life and a comfy sofa to call his own. Keeping fingers crossed that the screensaver works its magic again - in the meantime after many real cuddles, he has my virtual cuddle today too. xx

Always a pleasure to take this gentle boy for a walk. He was bouncing up and down in his kennel when he saw the lead but totally calm to have his lead put on and an absolute star on his walk. He walked quietly by my side. Bit of sniffing but no pulling. Hugs for him xxx

Bless diddy he sounds and looks so cute! The bigger the better I always think as think they're usually quieter and laid back unless that's just how ours is? My criteria when wanting a grey was that it had to be a big, black male as sadly they seem to get overlooked but are just perfect in reality! Keeping everything crossed for Diddy! Xxx

I agree with shanishoo I too have a greyhound who is larger than most but Lottie can curl up into the smallest spot at home. Her size has never caused any issue it does mean that there is more grey to cuddle! Come on people please give Diddy a chance if I could go to three he would be top of my list.

Diddy is a gentle giant by the sound of it, my Reggie was very tall and he was a dream of a dog, he could also curl up to the size of an average Greyhound in a bed, used to amaze me. Come on please, somebody give Diddy a chance, wish it could be me, I'd take the lot of I could lol xxxxxx

Diddy melted my heart today, whilst leading him up for his walk I got down to his level to give him a cuddle and he put his paw over my knee and leaned into me with all his body weight as if he was cuddling me back!! I do hope people don't overlook him due to his age, he's going to make a fantastic pet! He doesn't pull either whilst out walking, just happily trotting along by your side. He's a sweetie. xxx

As quite a late in life arrival to Daybreaks Diddy obviously doesn't not want to become a long term stayer in kennels.
Anyone looking for a quiet laid back lad who loves returning in bundles any affection he receives would find him a perfect addition to their home.
He has today paid a visit to Brueton Park where after travelling well in the car he loved his 1st park experience watching the other dogs running free off the lead. He walks well on the lead passing other dogs with no problems whatsoever. He showed no aggression at any time although a meeting with 2 very small dogs confused him as how to react to them. I don't think he realised they were actually dogs!!.
Daddy is "big time leaner " and is ready and waiting for the right home to come along to allow him to use all that leaning ability !

Once out af his kennel Diddy behaves like the perfect gentleman he is. He has a truly lovely nature x

Touch wood...Diddy's tail is looking good. :)) Fingers crossed he doesn't split it again. The way to ensure this is for someone to take him home! :))) Xxx

Diddy kept me company, and warm, in the office today for a little while, he's such a sweetheart and very affectionate.

Diddy is such a lovely lad. He is in the larger kitchen kennel and run at the moment to give him more room after managing to split the end of his tail. :( As the sun came out today he was happy to sit on the bed in the run watching all that was going on. He is very affectionate and loves lots of fuss. Xxx

Really enjoyed a walk down the lane with (not so) Diddy today. He gets enthusiastic and spins in cirles when you enter his kennel but is great to walk. Lovely big boy.

Diddy walks beautifully on the lead.Took him into the run yesterday and after a little trot round and lots of sniffing he decided he liked human company best and was coming to me when I called him. Gorgeous hound
