I got the message from the owner that Horse has passed away. It is so sad to get such news. I feel priveldged to have worked with him and the family to help improve his behaviour. My thoughts are with you all as he was such a nice boy. Run freely Horse.

Horse, I remember Barney made a run for it when mom first brought him home to foster. When he came back to stay the next day he soon realised how wonderful it was and it led to him meeting Uncle Ian, Auntie Deborah and Samantha who became his forever family. Poor boy, he needs taking under an experienced persons wing. It's one of those again - time, patience and training. I still have my hands full with Alfie which is still going to take time to get his confidence where it needs to be plus I have 2 girls also. Horse went off to his foster home at lunch time but sadly he became very stressed and he is now back at the kennels! He tried to climb out of the window and would not settle and was becoming quite distressed :-(((( If anyone thinks they can help with this fella - please call us!

Can I add my plea for Horsey also. Everyone at Daybreaks seems to love him. Maybe people are put off by his size or because he is a black boy (you know my thoughts on Black boys LUV EM) but why not foster him and give him a chance, and if it works out (as I feel it would) I will personally buy the adopters a FFP tee shirt. Cannot say fairer than that. I wouldn't worry about his walking habit. I had the same problem with my hubby, when we met, but as soon as I got him home he was trained to go where I wanted. lol xx for Horse

Please will someone give our Horsey a chance?! He is a special lad and has so much love to give. He really does act like a horse when he gallops out of his kennel for his breakfast in the mornings :) Yes, he can sometimes be more of a Mule when he decides he doesn't t want to walk anmore; but it might just be he is fed up of the same old walk up the lane. :) He has real charm and character and he would be sure to add a "giddy up" to your life! Xxx

How can anyone resist this lad, Finn was once the long stayer and although I was not really ready for another Grey after loosing my lovely boy Ollie (formally Vinnie) We decided to take up Ruth's offer to foster him and give him a chance and where assured if it didn't work out she would have no problem taking him back and she would at the very least be able to tell other people who saw him how he was in a home and how he got on with Nina. The rest of the story is history !!! Now proud to be a FFP. Horse I hope you race into someone's heart soon, they will never regret it I am surex

Mr Horse and I had a lovely time in the run this morning. He thoroughly enjoyed playing with the toys, giving them a huge shake then throwing them up in the air and jumping up to catch them!!

This oh so happy boy is desperate to be out in the big wide world discovering what life is all about. He has been with us for a long time now, I really hope it is his turn to find his own forever sofa very soon. xx

You are such a character, and it would appear that when out on a walk, you are only reluctant to return to Daybreaks (as lovely as it is) and that you much prefer being out in the big wide world - and who can blame you? Horse spent an hour in Elmdon Park with me this afternoon. Now, I know anyone who knows Horse won't believe me on this, but the ONLY time he stopped was when a lady spoke to me to ask a question about him. We covered a lot of ground as well as today he only seemed to be operating in quick mode. He seemed to thoroughly enjoy being out and about as well as the new sights and sounds in the park. He is known for stopping walking and being reluctant to start again on his walks from the kennel, but today he was perfect. Who can blame him though really? I think I walk in the park is much more preferably than a walk along the A45!! Xx

Well Horsey was doing his Mule impression again this morning! He went out on his walk with Jackie and was fine going but just wouldn't turn round to come back! The walk lasted a lot longer than normal! When they did return Horsey was such a happy chap tail wagging and a smile on his face! He is a super lad and a real character. Xxx

Horse is a handsome boy and the last couple of times I have been on a walk with Adam walking him he has been absolutely fine. Perhaps Adam is a 'Horse' whisperer. xxx

Just wondered how horse was doing with his "stationary" walks now? Bet he would walk quickly if some kind person offered him a forever home or even a forever big garden.

Horse aka Mule is so funny. He is so excited to put on the collar and lead and start to walk. He walks very nicely and then, for no apparent reason, he stops. He doesn't look sad or worried, he just doesn't want to move. This happens whether he's in the lane or on the Coventry Road where his first stop is to look towards the bungalow. Maybe he'd suit someone with a big secure garden. He's a very happy boy who loves a fuss. x
