Hi All, quick update on Susie. She is settling in better each day and now seems fully familiar with the house, the sofa and the garden. Susie & Chappie are getting on famously I've never seen him so active! Some of Susie's cheeky antics are rubbing off on him, suddenly he has took to digging up the garden once Susie has had first dibs of course! We had to take Susie to the vets this morning, a large soft lump came up on her neck on Friday morning and it hadn't budged at all this morning, she wasn't bothered by it but clearly something was not right. Our vet drained it, fortunately it was just clear fluid and no sign of infection so we happily toddled off with 5 days worth of antibiotics. Susie was so well behaved in the vets and has since slept all afternoon. Keep you posted!

Hi All, just letting you know Susie is absolutely fine and has settled well in a short space of time. She loves being in the garden and the sofa! She is an absolute pleasure, she was bombing around the garden today throwing one of her many toys up in the air it was lovely to see her having fun. Chappie is following her around like a lost puppy and they seem to be getting along just fine. Ruth I know it was emotional for you yesterday, you & your team have done a wonderful job yet again helping another rescue find their forever home, we promise to give her a fabulous retirement! Susie had a wonderful time today playing in the sand run with her soon to be new brother. She was shattered afterwards and enjoyed an extra long snooze in the office. So pleased for her. Xxx

I love Susie. She is always so pleased to see people and is VERY receptive to strokes and ear rubs, but is also happy to lie quietly on the floor even though her bed is available. I think she'd make a lovely pet xxx

I walked the wonderfully pretty Susie yesterday. She is super friendly, walks well on the lead and makes me smile seeing her laying totally relaxed pressed up against the kitchen run with assorted bits of her sticking through the bars!!!! Not very ladylike but very endearing xxxx

Lovely walk with this super happy girl today. The grass verge had been cut and she was loving all the smells. I had to keep stopping to remove grass and twigs from her muzzle!! She is fantastic in the run with Ashley xx

Susie spent Wednesday night with us this week after her spay. She was very happy and tail waggy to start with, and then spent time wandering round the house to see the new sights. She didn't try and go upstairs but wasn't bothered when Paul and I went up to bed and she stayed downstairs with our 3 greys. She was a little growly with each of them initially but within minutes was fine and there was no problem at all the rest of the time. She is a lovely little girl, happily went into the garden to do her business, loved being fussed, and is very happy. Also very pretty!

After 96 races, this little sweetie deserves a rest, welcome to the best Greyhound Hotel in the country Susie, you will be so well looked after. Xxxxx
