We so wanted Kenny but he had been reserved then when he was returned we had already chosen another dog ( who looks just like Kenny incidentally), but we were so happy that he went to such a lovely home, and it sounds like he has been a great comfort to his new mum. I have just had the most wonderful telephone call from Kenny's owner. Just before the first lockdown, she moved to Chester to be closer to family following the loss of her husband.

Due to lockdown she sadly has been unable to see her family and this is where she told me that Kenny has been her lifeline in getting out and meeting new people.

She made a very generous donation to Daybreaks and I asked if she would mind if I shared what she had told me because it was so lovely to hear that Kenny had helped her, just as she had helped him.

It really is truly remarkable what having a dog can do for you - they are great company and a great way to keep exercising and meeting people and with no doubt, a lifeline for many. x

Message for Kenny new mom. He has inspected everywhere, takes himself up and down stairs very well. He has had a very settled night and has already been on a few walks.... His new mom loves him loads, they are very suited to each other and he will soon be able to walk on the lovely beaches in Wales when they move. X

Kenny spent the day in the kitchen with Bobby, Lyra and Skip,(Skip & Kenny share the same Dad!) He was absolutely no trouble at all. :)) He went out for morning and afternoon walks. Didn't eat his breakfast but did enjoy his dinner. He is a lovely lad who would be happy in a quiet home. He may even like a four legged friend to keep him company. :)) Sending him my cuddle tonight. Xxx

What a lovely hound Kenny is. Met him today and felt so sad for him, he seemed very down. He has a really soft coat, beautiful eyes and lovely markings. With the right family I think he will make a super pet. Huge cuddles Kenny everything crossed for you. Xxxxx
