I've shed a happy tear at this news. So pleased Shadow is doing well. He was a definite favourite. I remember the first time I went in his kennel and he pinned me against the wall and wanted to play. Like a grown up puppy! x

After all the recent sad news, how lovely to hear an update on Shadow. It's just fantastic that he has found himself such a wonderful home and he is clearly adored by his new owners, it was a long wait for him to find his forever home, but it sounds like it was worth the wait. Enjoy Shadow....you deserve all the happiness that comes your way xxxxxx

Shadow's new Mom called today to let us know how his getting on...

She said he is doing just great. He is being such a good boy and they have even got him to be in the garden with the chickens, muzzled of course! :)). He is very affectionate loves lots of cuddles, he likes to "wash" everyone's face. :))

She said they decided to call him Shadow as he follows her partner everywhere about an inch away from him. :) She said to let all his fans know he is a very happy lad and is adored by her and her family.

We are so grateful to them and so very happy for him. Xx

What can I say, so very happy for Mr Treaty, he has waited so long, so pleased I managed to say goodbye to him yesterday (I think there was a queue to do this). I have previously spoken to his new owners when they were looking for a dog, and he has found a fantastic home.

When some of us (well most of us) heard he was going home, there were mixed emotions. It was 'yay his very own home', followed by 'oh, we are going to miss him so very much' (or maybe the other way around!).

On the board in the dog kitchen under his name was written 'best dog'! He had become a firm favourite back in kennels, funny, cheeky and normally in the upside down and inside out position. Mr Treaty Monster you will be missed so much, but so happy you have a lovely home, be good and happy. Look forward to hearing your updates. Jo xxx

I totally agree. I also would have him in a heartbeat as an only boy if I didnt have my 2. I always wonder why some of the boys and girls seem to get overlooked and have to wait longer. When there isnt a really serious reason pertinent to that individual then there is no real reason. It is all about the right person walking through the door and ensuring the fit for both is appropriate. I suspect Treaty will be better off as an only child so he can have all the attention. His turn will come again. We just have to be patient and be grateful that he is not suffering from kennel stress. That shows what a well rounded easy going boy he is. I love him!!! Xx

I for one cannot understand why my Mr Treaty is still here. He has so much character (by the bucket load)! so much love to give, and will not stop kissing you)!
He walks beautifully, likes to play (anyone who has tried to get his coat on will know that)!
I personally love this boy to bits, as most of our volunteers do too. Someone has actually written under his name 'Best Dog'. But with 4 of my own and a foster boy I just can't take him :(((

He really deserves a forever home, he is such a laid back character and just loves people so much. He does look older than his years but certainly doesn't act it. He will be 6 years old on Thursdaym it would be absolutely amazing if he found his new forever home by then. X

Walked Treaty this afternoon. He is such a good boy, very happy to walk at whatever pace you choose. Very amenable to cuddles the more the better so big kisses and cuddles for him tonight xxx

Treaty is adorable. A real character. I went in to his kennel yesterday to give him a brush and fuss and was welcomed very enthusiastically. He soon settled down and stood still for ages letting me brush him. He gave me lots of licks and didn't want me to leave. I witnessed his "game" later on with chasing around the run not wanting his coat on! He'll make someone a great pet. I hope he gets his chance very soon.

Lovely Treaty came with me to Sheldon Country Park today. He was very happy to be out of his kennel but a bit bemused about getting in the car. Luckily he didn't mind being manhandled in and once in, he settled quickly and was no trouble at all. He walks very well and for the first half was very quiet. He found his voice in the second half when we saw some other dogs. However, as he didn't actually pull, I can only assume he just likes the sound of his own voice!! He's a very friendly boy, who likes his cuddles and fuss. Hoping he'll have a if a to call his own soon xx

Sadly Treaty is no longer reserved. :( His prospective owner feels she let her heart rule her head yesterday and really doesn't think she is ready to take a Greyhound home just yet. She is so sorry to have built up everyone's hopes of a home for Treaty. :(

After such heartbreaking news this morning about Lecky , I am over the moon to see that Treaty has been reserved, such a lovely special boy who so deserves his forever home, well done gorgeous boy xxxxx

The lovely Treaty came to Elmdon Park with me today. He travelled well and lay down immediately. He has a lovely pace when walking. He isn't fazed by dogs in general but isn't too keen on them running straight at him (totally agree with him -who feels comfortable when someone runs straight at them at full speed!!!!). He did have a a little bark at these dogs but responds very calmly and positively to a firm 'no' command. When we got back to the kennels he was trying to investigate the contents of the bin and responded very well again to a firm no command. He's a quick learner and a very affectionate boy x

Totally agree with all that has been said about this lovely boy. Had a lovely walk and cuddle with him today. Sending him a virtual cuddle as well. xx

Treaty is a lovely boy who walks very well on his lead. He would have liked to chase the squirrel running along the fence yesterday, but one, quite firm, 'leave it' and he walked on quite happily. He also loves attenton. Cuddle for him tonight xxx

Treaty is such a fantastic walker. When I walk into his kennel getting ready for walks he stands and waits for me to put his lead on and he is such a good boyou. He needs a home without other dogs but is so lovely no matter what good luck baby boy xx

Aw Treaty!. He was very excited when I went into his kennel. He was wearing his very fetching fleece as a skirt and despite his excitement he was cooperative whilst I tidied him up. He loved being fussed and he walked nicely by my side. Kisses for you Treaty xxx

Hey, Fat Neck Finn didn't sell himself,even when we came over to see him after Ruth's plea about his long stay. That was part of his long stay problem. However look at him now. Loves visitors (especially if they bring food lol) and has given us so much fun with his little quirks. Someone should snap Treaty up quickly , sounds like the perfect boy.

Treaty is a quiet lad who won't push himself forward to anyone who may be viewing our dogs. He behaved perfectly in Elmdon Park towards all the dogs he met. Just walking sensibly and enjoying the new experience of a park visit. He travelled well in the car . Hopefully his reserved nature won't mean he has a long wait for that permanent home to arrive.

Norman took Treaty for a visit to the park yesterday. He had a great time and was such a good boy. :) He is a happy and very affectionate lad. A cuddle for him tonight. Xxx
