It's nearly 6 months since gorgeous Jet arrived at the kennels. He is handsome, cute, walks well on his lead, understands some voice commands, is very loving, wants to please. Aren't these the traits we're all looking for in a partner? BIG CUDDLES JET

Oh Jet, you are tugging at my heart strings. I wish my position was different but Melly & Teddy would not be impressed to have another permanent resident and I dont think you would like sharing either!!! I loved our cuddles at the weekend and look forward to more next week. Remember our little chat about big smiles and best puppy dog eyes for the hoomans when they come visiting. Jet gets my cuddle today too. Skip likes to walk at the front so we walked with Jet a lot of the time on the Sheldon walk. He really is gorgeous with a super sleek coat. I'm sure he will become less anxious about other dogs once he's rehomed. He needs that special person or family to dedicate a bit of time - it's worth every second. Fingers crossed he doesn't have to wait long and the next time we walk with him is with his forever family. x

Thank you for taking Mr Jet out this morning - the more he gets out and about the more used to the outside world he'll become and will realise he doesn't have to get so worked up about everything!!

Jet came with me to Sheldon Country Park today. As usual he was extremely keen to get out of the kennels and explore. He travelled well and enjoyed his time in the park. Lots of people commented on how handsome he is (he has a lovely black coat) and he adores attention from anyone willing to give it. Not to mention that he loves a good lean. He will need socialising but if you put that time in with him, he will repay you many times over with love and cuddles xx

Jet was in a hurry on his walk this afternoon. After he'd toileted he was keen to get back to his warm kennel, where he got straight up onto his bed ready to receive cuddles. He's such a lovely boy xxx

Happy sand pit walk, jog and run this afternoon. Shows his appreciation with a kindly pawing and cuddle when back in kennel. Adorable!!

Keeping my fingers crossed that our lovely Jet will find his home soon, he's such a cuddly boy with lots of love to give. He needs some help socialising but if you're willing to put the time and effort in you're going to gain a best friend like no other, all the volunteers at the kennels adore him and that speaks volumes surely :) xx

Jet came out with me to the park today. Bless him, he really loves getting out of the kennels. He is going to need more training to be around other dogs but without any distractions he walks very well. He enjoys his fuss and loves people. Travels well in the car and had to be coaxed out of car to get back to the kennels. He's very ready for his forever home. Lovely black coat. Good luck handsome boy x

Like everyone else I am at a loss as to understand why you are still waiting for your own sofa. You are a lovely handsome, kind boy and I have had lovely cuddles with you. I love everyone but you are another one of my soft spots and if I didnt have my 2.......we will have to have a little 1 on 1 talk to see how we can get you to project yourself in an even more positive frame when the hoomans visit. I thought this boy had been snapped up, id love to take him home to tear up some Pembrokeshire beaches but unfortunately out of the blue I had a seizure so my driving licence has been suspended until August but as soon as I'm back on the road I'll be up. I do not understand how jet hasn't got a home yet. He is a beautiful boy and also very cuddly. He is a dog who will make his owner feel very loved no matter what. He trusts very easily and loves you all the time. Jet is kind and smart and is excellent to walk even with cars who keeps stopping us while he is walking. Jet did really well in the park yesterday; he is a keen walker and happy to go on and on. He's interested in everything around him and was less anxious around other dogs, His Christmas foster time must have been really positive. Lets hope New Year bring's him a furever home.

Jet was so lovely on his walk this afternoon. He does enjoy a good nose around but he doesn't pull and listens and obeys requests (to wait and also leave it). Sitting with and cuddling him is very therapeutic. Xxxxxxx lovely lovely boy x

I'm glad that Jet had a little trip to the park yesterday. He really does seem quite down bless him.

His time in foster was a really positive experience for him showing just what a great pet he will be, and the more he sees of the world the more he will get used to it. He has been with us since August and really needs his own forever home soon.

Jet is such a lovely and handsome boy I don't understand why he hasn't got a home. He walks lovely and is such a cuddly boy everything I go into his kennel he stands on his bed and waits for me to sit down so he can join me. Who wouldnt want that in your life. He is such a precious boy even though he has his moments but let's face it who doesn't.

Poor Jet. No wonder he is a bit down. He had a taste of a home with the kind foster family who took him over Xmas and must miss them and that life, and now all the pretty girlies have arrived. However he does have lots of good behavior reported now for any prospective owner to be given. He has waited so long like my Fat neck Finn but these Black Boys are lovely companions and very gentle usually. As you can see like JetLucy I am a bit besotted with them lol I am keeping everything crossed for Jet, Rocky, and Stanley that they will soon be in a warm loving home forever.Good luck boys xx

He has been very quite and subdued since he came back to the kennels. :(( He had a great time at Christmas and we are so grateful to his foster family for all their positive comments about him. Jet has been an absolute pleasure to have around the house for the last 2 weeks and he will make someone a fantastic pet. He can't get near enough to you for fuss, in fact he sat on my husband's knee the other day, quite a picture! :) His temperament is fantastic around humans and our own grey, Molly. He is still however, very hit and miss around other dogs. He is good walking on his lead and I have put him on a "short lead" sometimes, for more control, and he walks at my side brilliantly. He can be quite anxious when left in a room by himself and he settles a lot better when Molly is in the room with him. Oh no, he's just hung his head over arm so I'm having to type one-handed :)) He never pesters for food either, he is such a well behaved boy. He is big and may get a little excited when a new human appears and want to jump a little but a few firm words and he soon stops. He has been subjected to the hoover and didn't bat an eyelid. Also, he was absolutely fine with the fireworks at New Year. This lad has so much going for him and we would have him if our circumstances were different, but he would be left for far too long when the children are back at school and I'm back at work. I think that that would be a step too far for him at this time. I do hope that someone gives this lad a chance though as he's adorable.

Jet has been with us a week now and he is still very settled. He is very obedient and intelligent, going to lie down when told to do so. He has his paws wiped when he's been out in the garden and stands and lets you do it without a fuss. In fact, you can do most things to him without any fuss. His little accidents have not happened for a couple of days now. However, as he knows we were sending him outside after his meals, he now runs into the lounge and jumps onto the sofa to avoid it. Lol!! He still has no interest in going up the stairs. He sleeps with our daughter(aged 12) in her room downstairs and is no problem. He's been out in the car a couple of times and travels really well. With regards to other breeds when out on a walk he is very "hit and miss" as to whether he reacts or not. Sometimes he does nothing, other times he has a little bark and cry and will then shut up and look at them and other times he will jump about on his lead crying and barking. He will, however, calm down when told firmly to do so. Like I said previously he is very obedient. He is a pleasure to foster.

Jet has been with us a few days now and he has settled very well. He is a very affectionate boy who loves as much fuss as you will give him and he is excellent with my children. He would not jump onto the sofa for the first couple of days but now loves it. He gets on really well with our own grey, Molly, lying on the sofa together etc, she seems to have taken to him really well too. At feeding time he eats his own food and then walks off, never attempts to eat Molly's food. We have found however, that he needs to be let out to go for a wee straight after eating as this is when he has had little "accidents" in the house.Up to today he has not managed to master how to get up the stairs and doesn't show any interest in them at all. We were told that he was very excitable around other breeds of dog and have found this to be true. Besides this he walks on his lead really really well. He is an adorable big boy.

Oh jet you are so beautiful and clearly loving. When I visited today you were having cuddles off a lady and I'm surprised she got out you were all over her and adoring cuddles...there must be someone out there who you do that to that will take you home you'd clearly be a treasure xxx

I am puzzled as to why this fabulous hound hasn't yet found his forever home. He is absolutely gorgeous. Very regal. Lovely to walk very friendly and enjoys interacting. Hope his wait won't be too much longer. Xxxx

Handsome Jet came out for a nice long walk with me today. He loves being out and jumped in the car very happily. He settled quickly and I didn't hear a peep out of him until we arrived at the canals. He enjoys a brisk walk, which is perfect for me. I had to laugh, when I synced my fitbit it thought we had done a 29 minute walk and 61 minutes aerobic workout!! He is pleased to accept any fuss that comes his way and greets you with a waggy tail. However he is excitable around other dogs and will need some help getting used to seeing other breeds on his walks. Practice makes perfect though xx

I had a smashing cuddle with Jet today. Shoulder rubs went down well with him. There was no way I was leaving his kennel until he was ready to let me go, at one stage he seemed to be infront of me and behind me at the same time!!!!! He is gorgeous.xx

What a difference a week makes. Last week Jet was very strong on the lead and a bit of a handful but yesterday he was great and a pleasure to walk. He was even patient enough to walk slowly alongside another hound who was stressed out during a walk. Jet is one of my favourites.

Me and Jet snuck off to the park this afternoon. Walking along the pavement of the A45 can’t be easy for a retired hound but once in the park he really enjoyed exploring the bushes and letting other dogs know that he was about.
Jet is a strong boy and needs a little guidance on how to take a human for a walk but once back at hq you can see that he will become a wonderful companion to whoever adaopts him.
I sat on his bed with him and he rolled onto his back with his head in my lap as if to say thank you for the visit to the park. Jet is a real character.

Jet had a good day out at the annual show, he was much more settled by the end of the day seeing all of the none greys wandering round, especially the smaller ones. He spent the day with Roary, Brandy and fluff fluff had lots of fuss and cuddles which he LOVES! He came 3rd in best black dog and then managed to get a FIRST in the dog the judge most wants to take home. Hopefully his forever home will be around the corner very soon xx

Love jets New photo's, so handsome! And totally loveheart, wherever we go we're stopped by somebody falling in love with our jet! For example today, we took him shopping to evesham valley and just as we were leaving this man came running up to me and was like please can I stroke him, of course jet was like yes please! Think anyone who fusses them falls in love! I just love it and would stand there all day chatting, love it even more as it does my husband's head in keep listening to the same story! Xxx

I have to agree with Jetlucy and many others who sing the praises of the big black boys. I have been amazed at the gentleness and happy natures of the lads and when out walking Fat neck Finn (Who is like a small donkey lol) adults and children alike are amazed by this to. Gentle giants would describe them well. The black girls are lovely also I
just seem to have a soft spot for the fella's and I have also found for the older owner an older Grey is usually perfect, but the hound will pick you if you are lucky. Let's get that waiting list down.
