Gorgeous Sara and her sister Star came to visit us today. Sara looks fab! She is due to have the staples removed on Thursday after her recent operation to remove a piece of bone from her leg. She looks beautiful. Xxx

Sars has been and had her tests done today and came back all clear, she is now waiting to be seen by a cardiologist at telford. Hopefully everything is ok :)

Just to let you all know sara operation had to stop due to a low heart rate, she is having a test done next friday hopefully all goes well she is happy and her tail is still wagging.

Sara went of this morning for her operation wagging her tail, will let you know how she is later on.

Following her CT at Brentknoll, the results have been reviewed by Chris at Fivelands and he is going to do an arthroscopy on Wednesday and will hopefully be able to removed the bone fragment. We will keep you posted.

A big cuddle for little Sara tonight. She was so very, very excited to be going home! We couldn't keep her still when it was homing photo time. :)) She has a gorgeous Greyhound sister to share her life with and I'm sure they are going to get along just fine. :))
Despite all Sara has been through and indeed may still face an operation on her leg she is such a happy, friendly girl. She wanted to jump into the boot of the car and we had to stop her...she is a very brave and determined girl just like our lovely Sara who she was named after. Lots of love to her and her new family. Xxx

I took Sara to Worcester yesterday for her CT scan which shows fragments of bone from her ulnar by her shoulder joint. This is due to an old injury and would explain why she is so tender and lame. Chris at Fivelands is going to decide whether to operate or not as surgery so close to her joint is risky. It may be that long term pain relief is the best course of action. I took her home and she has been absolutely golden here. She is off to her new home on Saturday and she will be a perfect pet. Such a shame she ended up as a stray and the Greyhound Board are investigating this.
