Woody is still with us as a foster dog. He is a real sweetheart. He’s still a little nervous if there are unexpected noises but he’s more confident now when he meets people when we’re out on a walk. He’s happy to meet any dog on a lead, and mid-sized or larger dogs off lead, but seems fascinated by smaller dogs that are running around and can’t seem to know what to make of them. Once they’ve slowed down for a sniff, he’s ok, but he needs more practice to realise they’re ok if they’re running past. He still likes spending time upstairs but comes down regularly and has started to spend parts of an evening in the lounge with us. Please someone, give this gorgeous boy his forever home. He’d be fine in a house with or without other greys, and I expect would be fine with larger dogs but may need time to meet and get to know smaller dogs. He’d also be fine with older children. Xx

Woody has been staying with us since Monday. He was understandably unsettled on Monday night but within a day or two, he settled well. He prefers staying upstairs to lie down, but comes downstairs regularly for a fuss or to see what’s going on. He gives a wonderful welcome home if we’ve been out - a very waggy tail indeed. He loves his walks but is a bit nervous of people walking past. He hasn’t met many other dogs yet when we’ve been out so we’ll wait to see how that goes. He is clean in the house and sleeps well at night and he loves his food. He’s a really lovely boy x

Very sadly Woody has been returned to the kennels today. He is looking for a a nice quiet home without young children or teenagers. He gets very anxious around them but not aggressive in any way. He walks lovely on the lead and gets on well with other dogs. He can be left on his own for several hours.
Rosie has very kindly taken him home for a few days! :)) Thank you. :) Xxx

Well it’s been a while and I’m not going to say it’s been easy but Woody is finally showing what’s underneath the surface. He’s still incredibly scared of the things that our other greys don’t notice. Today he put his head on my lap - what a milestone. I just know that one day he will be brave enough to let down his barriers but in the meantime and it doesn’t matter how long it takes we will continue to help his confidence, fluff up his bed and give him endless socks to chew (Harvs are his favourite) and love him because he deserves it. Thank you Kate for all your advice. We’d never give up on this very special boy xxxx

Well here I am again.... failed as usual! Woody today officially joined our family. I am so thrilled. Woody is a reserved and sensitive boy but each day he shows that little something of who he could become. To me he’s just perfect and that’s, that xxxxxx

Woody went out on foster today, fingers crossed if all goes well, then.......! I took him out to the car and he jumped right in, he was really excited and the existing dogs were great with him. Looking forward to the updates.

Very sadly due to a change of circumstances Woody has been returned to the kennels today. However, he has been offered a lovely foster and will be going back out again at the weekend.
We are so sorry for all concerned. Xxx

Woody and his family came into use the sand run today. He had a lovely time. :) He looks great and is settling well into his new home. So happy for him. Xxx

I’m giving my cuddle to Woody tonight. He was such a good boy on his walk this afternoon and seemed quite confident. He was a bit more relaxed when I saw him in his kennel than when I saw him on Saturday and I’m sure his confidence will keep growing. I love seeing these nervous lovelies gradually getting more positive and I always want to just hug them to make them feel better xx

Woody is gorgeous. I took his food into him in his feeding kennel this morning and he was a little wary at first but soon approached me. I walked him on both morning and afternoon walks. He stood beautifully for me to lead him up and walked really well on a loose lead. No pulling at all. After the afternoon walk I sat in his kennel for a while. He was so settled I nearly fell asleep. He wouldn't take treats directly off me but enjoyed them from the bed. Please someone give him a chance and give him his forever sofa. Good boy Woody. x
