We were hoping for some sunshine today to go out for a nice walk....but storm Babet gate crashed our fun! :)) However, there are Egg Custards waiting in the fridge for Cracker, Lyra and Skip! Everyone loved the egg Custards last night! Today Cracker visited Pets At Home to find a nice present for his Birthday. He was such a good boy and didn't take any notice of the small fluffy live animals! :)) He came back with two Nylabones...one for him and one for Lyra. He knew Skip would be far too sophisticated to enjoy chewing a plastic toy! So we bought him a treat instead. :))) Xxx

Cracker has been going to "School" for the last few weeks, he loves it! We have both learnt so much. :) He is best friends with all his fellow pupils, Minnie, Padfoot, Woody and Indi. Xxx

Happy Birthday to our cracking lad Cracker! :) He is four today! We all had our usual Birthday egg custards to celebrate. :)) He eats his the same as Skip...licks all the custard out first and then eats the pastry case. :)) Cracker has settled in really well at home, it's lovely to see his character emerging. :)) He loves his food and likes to sit in the kitchen supervising the preparation of his meals. :)) He and Lyra are learning to share the toys and they have been playing in the garden together. Skip is very relaxed with him and they will have a play together too. :))
I have to say it's thanks to John we have Cracker....he asked if he could chose our next dog as the last time this happened was fifteen years ago when we brought our beautiful Twiggy home! :))) Xxx

Cracker went on his first holiday last week. :) We all went to Woolacombe in Devon. Skip and Lyra have been many times and always enjoy themselves. Xxx Cracker was a really good boy and had a great time. He must have seen nearly every possible breed of dog there! Once he had sniffed a few he realised that although they didn't look like a Greyhound they were dogs too! It was really lovely to be able to spend lots of time with Cracker, Skip and Lyra. :) Xxx

We very sadly lost our beautiful Fletch earlier this year, which meant we had a big empty Greyhound shaped space that needed filling. Xxx
Cracker is settling really well although Lyra was less than impressed to discover he likes playing with toys! HER toys! Even the Nylabones! Skip isn't that bothered and Fletch had his own special teddy. :) Lyra and Cracker did share a blanket in the garden this afternoon, so I'm sure they will sort things out. :)) Xxx
