We have the lovely Truff Truff on foster now. She’s a delight! You almost don’t know you’ve got her. She settles well in any of the (many) dog beds around the house, clean in the house and sleeps the night through (even when I get up to let one of the others out at silly o’clock) and walks well on the lead. I took her to our greyhound walking group on Saturday and after a few small rumbles because she was initially unsure of everything she soon got in the groove and enjoyed the walk and was fine when meeting other breeds. She lay down in the cafe while we all had coffee after the walk. She’s not interested in people food and ignores us while we eat our tea off trays on our knees.
Truff Truff would be an ideal first greyhound for someone (or even a first dog for anyone who hasn’t had one before).
She really is a sweetie just waiting for a home of her own.

Update from Truf Truf on her foster home, she is being an absolute golden girl! Sleeps and settles well after a walk. It was very noisy here with a music festival at the end of the road. Coped excellently with all the noise and fireworks. Still enjoyed an early walk before it got too busy and plenty of fuss from all the people she meets. Loves a trip out in the car, especially if it's to the cafe! A beautiful gentle girl with a quirky cheeky side we love. X

Truf Truf says hi!
She has been to the cafe in Kenilworth with her doggy friend and been a really good girl meeting lots of different people and dogs. She went into Iceland to do a bit of shopping (chose sardines - obviously!) and the checkout lady gave her a bonio for being a good girl. She is walking in the big park very much more confidently now. Xx

Little Truf update from my foster home...
There is one word to sum up today...Ice-cream!!
Yesterday I needed a quiet day maybe because of the very loud rain, so I chilled out, but today we've been to the big busy park and pet shop was so good I had .....you guessed it...the worlds best thing....ice cream!! Xx

Truf update....being a really good girl in my foster home! I love lying in the cool grass in the garden and getting lots of fuss (and treats if im lucky!) from my human foster brothers. I'm enjoying lots of walks in the woods, sometimes with my new smaller fluffy doggy pal Sheena. I love training games and chill out time in my big crate with my fave blankets and caterpillar. I sleep well at night and have no accidents any more. My foster family are slowly showing me not to be worried by all the strange things in the outside world, and I'm giving them lots of loves in return.

Our gorgeous little Truf went out on Foster earlier in the week. She has been in the kennels so long...one of our Volunteers offered to give her a break from kennel life and took her home for a while. She is doing great and being such a good girl. :)) Xxx

I have been asked to include Truf-Truf in the enrichment program. She is always excited to see me when I arrive with boxes or I enter her kennel to do some training with her. I have been working on basic life skills, “sit” “down” and “Stand” she is getting good at. She walks well and I worked with her on “this way” and “stop”. Trufle also enjoys the “touch” game a good distraction technique. She is also developing her scavenging in the sand run, important to make sure she is learning to use her nose and brain.

Trufle, is such an engaging girl, she makes me smile and has such excitable energy about her. Truf, really enjoys being engaged with, she would suite a family willing to keep her mind occupied with simple enrichment techniques.

Took adorable Truf Truf out for walks today. She is such a sweet little girl. She walks nicely and is responds to her name. Xxxxxxx

Little Miss Truffle Pants, hope you feel better soon. Don't worry, Sarah Scare Bear had part of a toe removed, didn't affect her at all. Xxx

Truf Truf, I'm so sorry to hear the news on your toe... I wish you well and a speedy recovery!! You just enjoy lying on the floor as you would. You beautiful girl!

Truf went back to the vet today. Sadly her toe was damaged more than than they first thought and she has lost part of it. :((
She arrived back at the kennels this afternoon looking very sorry for herself. It must be so sore. Xxx

Little Truf Truf had a trip to,the vet today. She has injured one of her nails and it looked very sore. The vet decided it needed to be removed but unfortunately it is still quite firm and she was unable to do it today without her being sedated. She has to go back again on Thursday...poor little soul, she was such a good girl and so brave. Xxx

So very sad for little Truf, she was quite stressed on her return to the kennels today. I think she found the outside world a little overwhelming. We are very sorry also for the lady and her family who took her home, just not meant to be this time. Xx Truf is a real sweetheart. Xxx

Truf heard her trainer when he came in with Larky, she heard his voice and got so excited, Peanut and Cooper always get excited when they see and hear him. Heartwarming. Xxx

We met this gorgeous little girl today. She is related to both Nifty & Cilla. She seems so happy & friendly. She's very affectionate, giving Mark loads of kisses & then her paw when she wanted more fuss. She likes to play with her toys but then when she'd had enough she just lay down quietly. One thing she does do which Cilla does also is she likes to lie with her legs up the wall. Anybody thinking of Truf won't be disappointed as she would be a wonderful addition to any family. If we didn't already have 3 she would definitely of come home with us today. Sending Truf a cuddle tonight (from her cousins Nifty & Cilla)

Truf is a little character, she's a playful girl and fabulous on the lead. She is always up for a cuddle and really makes me chuckle as she spends a lot of time upside down with her legs in the air in her kennel. She will be a ray of sunshine for somebodys home x

Gorgeous Truf Truf - immaculately clean in our house when she stopped for a couple of days. Why this pretty girl has not been snapped up is a mystery....... If you would like to see her - please give us a call.

Although Truf Truf arrived at Daybreaks back in January because of niggling little problems she has not been able to be taken to the park until today.
I therefore this morning took her for a walk in Brueton Park. She loved the experience and behaved impeccably. Travelled well in the car and walked sensibly on the lead.
She met other breeds without any aggression.
Hopefully that permanent home will not be too long in arriving for this affectionate girl.

Truf Truf was in the run next to Steve at dinner time...whilst they were waiting for their meals to arrive Steve was desperately trying to get her attention by play bowing and jumping around! She was not impressed at all looked at him growled a couple of times and then ignored him. :)) A case of unrequited love I think!! Xxx

I love Truf Truf - she has been limping so during our hectic Saturday I had a look at her foot - however all she wanted was tummy rubs - she is so very affectionate - I just can't understand why she has not been snapped up!

The lovely little Stacy had an upset tum in the week - we are not sure if it was the Metacam or her reaction to the anaesthetic or the piece of cake she stole in the office so I have been taking her home. She is a sweet little thing and is off to her new home very soon.

Truf truf is such a funny girl. She lies on the floor of her kennel with what looks like about 8 legs all at various angles up the wall. She appears to find this comfortable! It doesnt take her long to untangle herself when she sees the lead though. Lovely pretty girl. Xx

When I arrived this morning Angie asked me to take a look at Truf Truf...she had unfortunately had a little accident in her kennel overnight, managed to spread it over everything, including herself and was in much need of a wash! Poor little lass. Patric and Jess popped her in the bath and she was soon looking beautiful again. Xxx
