What a great report on the gorgeous Sparkle & Shine! I am so pleased for you that he is settling so well and is learning so quickly - what a little star. The outside world is such a culture shock for these souls that have spent years in a kennel environment, and they all learn to adjust at their own pace, but Mr Sparks seems to have got it sorted now!

I just wanted to leave a little note about Sparkle as, when I spoke to Jo on Sunday night, I was really worried about leaving him to do my first shift at work. He was crying whenever he couldn't see us and when he thought he'd been left he'd get very upset. But what a difference a day makes! As advised, we left him for 5 minutes initially, then gradually increased it. Before long, he was beginning to appear less bothered by our absence. We then actually left the house, for a nerve wracking hour, to get some Sparky-related supplies. The house was quiet when we got back...nothing when we opened the door...Then we heard a thud upstairs and his face appeared! Cheeky Sparks had jumped the stair gate keeping him confined to the kitchen area and decided he'd be far more comfortable on our bed upstairs! He'd only learnt to climb the stairs that morning, so was taking full advantage of his new skill. So that's where he'll be when I'm at work today and I'm confident I'll return home to a content and well-rested Sparkle. I also mentioned to Jo he'd been doing a fair amount of marking in the house, for which he received a firm 'NO' and was taken straight into the garden. Well, yesterday, he finished his breakfast and, without any prompting, trotted straight out into the garden and did a wee. I was ecstatic and he got chicken, cheese and loads of praise. No fluke - at dinner time, he did it again. What a wonderful, wonderful boy. He's so funny, loving and affectionate, I couldn't be any more grateful to have him in our lives. Every minute of the 4 year wait was worth it! Thank you everyone at Daybreaks xxx

My precious boy has just come back from the vets after having multiple teeth removed. He is honestly adorable!

I have just taken this very handsome, gorgeous, loving boy to Fivelands as he is having a dental today. He is truly adorable.

My partner's trying to get a day off work so we can book to meet Mr Sparky! I'm too excited at the prospect!

I would gladly spend as much time as possible with Sparky giving him loads of love and affection, so maybe we are what eachother is looking for!

Mr Sparkle & Shine!!! Such a gorgeous soul, always has a clean kennel and is such a good boy. He really isn’t enjoying his time in a kennel- he just wants to be with you and having fuss and cuddles. Fingers crossed that his very own forever home is just around the corner. Xx

As Jo said, I took Sparky to the park yesterday. He was as a star. Walked very well and no reaction to other breeds. He wants fuss from everyone and has the softest fur. He's a very handsome chap x

Sparky enjoyed a trip to the park today with Liz_Beth. He was such a good boy. Thanks so very much to Liz for taking him out for a change of scenery, he was shattered bless him, I don't think he was too bothered with missing his lunch. Not to worry he had it added to his dinner. Xxx

We met Sparky last week. I don’t think we’ve stopped speaking about him ever since. We don’t think we could give him the commitment any dog needs on second thought but we just love him. He is the perfect dog. Loves a cuddle but isn’t needy. Calm, gentle, obedient. He’s golden. I can’t find a single fault in him. I’m so sad to not be able to give him a forever home but I hope someone else can as he deserves it. He is adorable x

Once again I am in love! Everytime I look at Sparky my heart melts. :))
He is a gentle, quiet lad but there is a cheeky side to him Xx He loves to bounce around in the feeding runs and he smiles! When he comes out for his bedtime wee, he walks gently by your side back to his kennel and very politely takes his bedtime treat from you. Xxx

Sparky paid his first visit to Elmdon Park today and behaved perfectly. He was very happy meeting other breeds and people.. As it was his first Park visit he was keen on the lead but soon settled

I met Sparky today and he is a lovely lad. A bit stressed in kennels at the moment, I do hope his forever home comes soon. He will be well looked after at Daybreaks though. Keeping fingers crossed his stay will be a short one xx
