So nice to hear lots of happy stories this week; Reggie is a great name and really suits him! x

We have had Reggie (Eoin the Farmer) nearly a year now. He is so loving there could not be a more loving boy. He is great with my cats now almost unbelieveable, he was so naughty with them in the beginning. It took such a lot of hard work but we got there in the end. They are not best friends but ignore each other so everyone is happy! He is still a big bouncy, boisterous boy (I call him my 6st puppy) and sometimes when I take him out I think I could do with a saddle and not a harness but I wouldn't be without him. Molly is and always has been placid and calm, no trouble at all but Reg has always known his place as she is very much THE BOSS. Both my dogs are so different in personality but I love them both. A thank you from me and my dogs for everything you all do. xxx

Hi, I had wondered how Poppy was getting on. Reggie is much better now with the cats although I would not trust him 100%. He just took a little while to get the message. He is brilliant in every other way tho and now his fur has grown back is very handsome. Lovely boy and he gets on really well with Molly. Im glad Poppy is ok now with your cat and I hope your boy is better now. Take care. Sharonx

Owen was an ex Walthemstow racer. Walthamstow closed down and their greys had to find homes or in Owens case (Owen was a top class racer) another trainer. The reason he ran on diferent tracks having changed trainers was that he was a top class racer and his new trainer entered him into open races (these are for the fastest greys and A1 graders), A1's being the top graded races at the tracks.

Thanks Pam, I have been onto Greyhound data and got his info from there. But when I was at the kennels a little while ago I met his trainers wife and she recognised me as having rehomed Reggie (she knew him as Elton) from my photo on this website. So I was just hoping there might be an outside chance anyone who knew him previously might have any stories about him. He seems to have raced at a few different tracks so I thought he may have been owned by different people. I have little knowledge of the racing industry, but I love my two retired greys. Thanks. On 28 Feb 2008 he ran in a race at Shelbourne Park, Irelands major track. If you click on the yellow line by this race you will also see the race video he is in. We have had Reggie a month now. He has settled in with us but I must say he is completely NUTS. He is sooooo playful and really loving, he bounds around like a giant puppy. He is so funny. Excellent with the toilet training only a couple of mistakes, he has done really well.
My Molly is so different, placid,calm, QUIET!! She is quite clever and a thinker and Reggie well what can I say lol. Making some slow progress with the cat training , working hard, fingers crossed. xx

Reggie is such a lovely boy, so friendly and loving. His tail hasn't stopped wagging since he came home. He is a bit of a bull in a china shop, where as Molly is so dainty (must be a boy thing). Gives you such a big welcome even when you have only been out the room for 10 minutes. Been unbelievably good with the toilet training hope it continues. Needs work with the cat training though, will keep working with him. We are lucky to have him.xx
