Pan reminds me of my beloved Paddy in that he is a bit shy and slow putting himself forward to new people. I think that once he finds his forever home he will come out of his shell a bit more. I feel there is a lot of love and playfulness in him and he will settle down well given a chance. I just hope he doesn't get overlooked by prospective owners. Keeping my fingers crossed he will celebrate Christmas on a sofa with a new family xx

Pan is still waiting patiently for his forever home. Xxx He is a lovely boy, who can be a little shy meeting new people. He has settled well at the kennels and is a pleasure to look after. Xxx

As Kate has previously said Pan is a very friendly lad. Today was his first visit to Elmdon Park.
He did have to be lifted into the car but settled down well.
On arrival in the park he did get very excited and vocal at seeing other dogs running free off the lead. He did then become very strong on the lead..
As the walk progressed and he became used to the surroundings he became more settled. He met other breeds with curiosity but no aggression.
Although an affectionate friendly boy he can become quite strong on the lead if seeing other dogs running free.. Prospective adoptors should be aware of that..Hopefully that permanent home will not be too long arriving and what sometimes happens to black male dogs getting overlooked won't happen to him.

Pan last went to Elmdon Park 8 weeks ago and today returned for the 2nd time.
He's now been with us at Daybreaks for 10 weeks and is possibly starting to suffer with "long stay black dog syndrome ".
This would be so sad as he is an affectionate loving lad who met other breeds today without any aggression. He does get excited at the sight of other dogs running free off the lead..... but only in a "friendly let me play too"" way.
Let's hope his forever home can arrive before too long
