Bob

male, 18 years old, Black

Added by KerryElliman

Updated: Saturday 06 Jan

Bob was returned recently due to a change in his previous owners circumstances.

He has been to his second home where he has been returned again as the children in the family were over enthusiastic with him.

He is cat friendly and we feel he would be better suited to a home with older children.

Bob has had 0 cuddles today (18 all together).
If you register or login, you can give him a cuddle too!

I am sorry to advise you that Bobby passed away yesterday. His owner Torra and Guzzi (Whippet) are really missing the lively fellow already !!. After a short illness he was taken to the vets and was found to have had a very aggressive tumor on his back leg which the decision was taken to amputate his leg as the tumor had not spread to far. Sadly his heart gave way after the operation. I meet Torra most evening for a walk with my two girls (Katie and Milly _ ONTO KATIE AND MILDRED STREET) and they too are missing the bubbly Bobby - often called Gobby Bobby as he was always very vocal. Katie will have to find another partner in crime. He will be sadly missed by everyone !! RIP Bobby sadly missed but never forgotten, Thinking of Torra his loving mum at this very sad news-- Adrian, Bev, Katie and Milly xxx

So happy to hear Bob has settled in so well. It's so nice to hear how he's getting on. Glad he's got a friend (Guzzi) for company. Enjoy your new life,Bob. Val,Ray,Peg & Max.xxx

Bobby has settled in well. He has chosen his spot on the sofa and favourite place in the garden, made friends with the neighbours and many of the "usual suspects" that we meet and run with on the park. He likes to follow Guzzi (my whippet) just about everywhere and was happy to be included in the family New Year meal (possibly something to do with the quantity of meat which got dropped on the floor).

The only downside that he's found is the cat, which he politely ignores, and this seems to work well.

As Bob has been used to a home, the lovely Ray took him home the day he was returned so he wouldn't be in a kennel over Christmas. He is being really good and we hope he will find a home soon. It is so sad he has lost his new family through no fault of his own.....

Massive thanks go to Kerry who is covering Daybreaks for me over Christmas - I am so grateful to her and all the volunteers who have come along also - for the first time in 5 years I have had Christmas at home which has been bliss! Very different to last year when I was sleeping in a kennel!

Thank you to everyone who have brought presents in - for the dogs as well as our volunteers and also for the very generous donations which will help all the Perry Barr greys xxxxx It is only with everyone's support in different ways we can continue to do what we do :-)

A cuddle from us and Star. You lived with our Star at your first home. It is really sad that it hasn't worked out, and we hope someone falls for you quickly. You are house and cat trained so that should help. We always wish we had more room etc xxxx

poor little man, it's not easy for any dog to live with small kids and its up to the parents to monitor the kids' behaviour....obviously better for Bob to come back then an unfortunate incident happening and him getting the blame. we shall find you your forever home as you are a super boy. xxx
