Annie

female, 21 years old, Black

Added by DaybreaksRuth

Updated: Monday 01 Jan

This precious little girl came into the kennels after being in a home for 2 1/2 years having been homed directly from a trainer. The family who had adopted her originally had had a baby and couldn't keep her so she was given to another family who decided they didn't want 'it'. I was asked by Head Office to take her and she was dropped off on Tuesday. I popped her in a kennel and she broke my heart. She looked lost and her spirit broken.

As luck would have it, due to the Blood Bank being at Daybreaks, we attracted a lot of owners along and Daire's family fell in love with her sad eyes and couldn't bear to leave her.
I am so very grateful to them for opening their family to include her. She deserved to have TLC and love and not be a disposable product for a moment longer. I am glad Daybreaks is there to help greys especially Annie.

Annie has had 0 cuddles today (0 all together).
If you register or login, you can give her a cuddle too!

So sorry to read this news and our thoughts are with Caz, Paul and her greyhound sister Yeuna as they adjust to life without her.
Annie was a beautiful girl and had the same dad as our precious Lola so it doubly saddens me especially as we met her on roadshows when we were just newbies ourselves.
Run free at Rainbow Bridge Annie, with all your friends old and new.
Love from Linda, Paul and Lena xxxx

It is with such sadness I have just received a call to tell me that Annie went to Rainbow Bridge today. She had almost 7 years in a home and has now gone to join her brother Daire.
Hugs to Caz and Paul and Yuena xxxxx
Run free poppet....

Hi Annie. Met you with your Dad today at the Roadshow in Solihull. I thought you looked very like my Silla, and you do indeed have the same dad. Another half sister along with the lovely Lola :) Liz x

Hi Leanne, Sonny & Poppy - glad you like Annie's neck warmer (I knitted it rather quickly and without a pattern!)- I think Daire was a little unimpressed with having to pose a second time - the first photograph taken showed the tag on Annie's coat & we couldn't have that on the internet! lol
We'll all be at Mell Square on 23rd Jan - and looking forward to it so perhaps catch up with you then xx

Ah how lovely, so pleased for you all, im loving the little pink scarf she has on in the picture, that would really suit our Poppy, not convinced Daire was impressed by her attire in this pic though ! LOL Hope to see you soon, love

Thanks Sharon - I'm sure we will have met at Melbicks & hope you get the chance to meet Annie sometime.

Ina - Paul will tell you that both he and Daire are embarrassed to walk with Annie & are waiting for the brown paper bags (with eye-holes cut our) that Steve Carter has threatened to send!- I think they should be proud to walk with such a beauty!

Em - hope to see you soon

haha i am just picturing Paul having to walk a 'pink prima donna' it's really creased me that has, has he started wearing dark shades yet and large hats he can hide behind? so pleased that you get to indulge tho' i just realized that by having all boys i am kind of losing out a bit on the 'pretty' things, hmmm i wonder whether i could just sneak a little girlie into the car without anyone noticing. see you soon. Everytime I read about people who treat these trusting dogs like a disposable commodity my blood boils.
When you give a home to any animal they rely on you for care and protection.
Thank goodness that most people give much thought to adopting before they commit, as it can have its ups and downs initially. The up side is that the love and loyalty you get in return will far outway any initial problems.
Thank goodness for PB rgt, Ruth,Rob and the kind people who have taken this bewildered little Grey into their home. She now has a happy ending. Well done x

Annie is absolutely adorable & she & Daire get along famously! I loved kitting her out with her pink lead, collar, tassels etc but am afraid Paul thinks I've gone a bit over the top! (I just wanted to make sure everyone knows she's a girl!). Thank you so much Ruth for letting us take her home, Daire, Paul & I all love her to bits (Paul says even if he & Daire are embarassed walking alongside the pink Barbie dog!) Caz xx
