Poor Truffle is going to the vets tomorrow to have her toe removed :( She cut it badly while she was running in the park about six weeks ago, and had to have it operated on. Since the stitches came out, we've been building up the amount of exercise she does - today she went for a full-on sprint and came back with it dripping with blood. We rushed her to the vet, who said the bone and the ligament were completely detached now so the toe has to come off. It shouldn't affect her at all once it's done though.

Hi Dan&Cleo the usual pattern now is that Molly and Truffle (as Katie is now called) end up sleeping in the same bed, which seems a bit mad, as the beds are only about a foot apart! It would be lovely to meet up, but Saturdays are tricky for us. We usually go on the walks though - perhaps see you at one of those?

Congratulations suejo on taking on Katie and having number 2, she looks a real beauty. I am pleased things are going well. We had similiar things happen to us when Cleo moved in, with her sneaking into Dans bed but he was just like Molly and found the next comfortable bed or blanket. We will be taking our two to the new Saturday dog classes starting in May it would be great to meet back up and to see both Molly and Katie

Just to let you know that she is feeling much better now. She's still got another day of her medication, but no problems with that at all. She's as mad as a box of frogs but is learning the ropes from Molly and is starting to settle really well. At the moment she is lying on her back on the floor, legs on the sofa. Molly is so enjoying having a companion.

Just to let you know Katie was an absolute star last night. She had a bit of tea but decided the food in Molly's bowl looked better, so decided to scoff some of that too! At bedtime, Molly was standing on her own bed, when Katie snuck under her legs and lay down! Fortunately Molly wasn't too bothered and when I came down this morning they'd swapped back again. Katie ate some breakfast this morning and has taken her tablets without any problems. She's certainly making herself at home and she and Molly love each other. Her favourite pillow is Molly's hip! The cat has just crept up to her and had a sniff and neither of them was at all concerned. Things seem to be going well so far :)

Ha ha! Took seconds after her photo went on the website this morning for me to take the first of many calls enquiring about her. The owners of Molly (aka Claire) took her on trial and reported later in the day that she was absolutely brilliant with the cat and was doing well :-)

I picked Katie up from the vets with Molly yesterday afternoon and she stopped the night at our house. She is such a happy girl - wags her tail happily when you go near her and is soooooooo small :-) She is doll-like in comparrison to some of the boys we have in! The photos don't do justice with her true colour.
