What a top dog! We've had Beau for just over a week now and it's just like she's always been there! She really has a fantastic personality and has settled into her new home. Can't wait to do a some training with her. Shes good on the lead, but we're pretty sure she might give a cat a run for it's money! We'll be working on that one as we'd love to be able to let her off the lead at some point. Thanks to Daybreaks for all your top advice.

We've met Beau a few times on walks and the dog show and she's always been on her best behaviour. What makes it even more heartbreaking is that she is clearly adored by her family. Hopefully a sweet little poppet like her won't have a problem finding a new home, especially as she's house trained. x

you must be so sad to have to let her go but sometimes it is unavoidable and if your little boy's condition is getting worse then it's not a good sign. how lovely that you have given all the background info on her and hopefully it will help to get her into a new home very soon, she is such a lovely little girl. xxxx

Beau is very sweet and affectionate. She is friendly and likes to play with you and toys! She is good with children and other greys, and is already getting used to other breeds when at the park. we don't know if she would be cat friendly, although she does seem very interested in small furry animals! She has learned a lot in a few weeks, she is house-trained. She can be left all day if you work, but obviously needs to go out for a wee as soon as you get home and needs to go outside immediately after her main meal [tea-time]. She does try to tell you at other times by pacing back and forth from you to the kitchen, but no accidents since the first few days! She walks beautifully on the lead [better than Monty!] She has put some weight on already, and doesn't look so skinny! She likes being brushed and lets you clean her ears and even trim her nails without a fuss! Not much was known about her background, personality, etc. due to her only being in the kennels for a day when we had her. We think, due to her lack of races, she may have been ignored a little bit,[by the trainers not Day Breaks!] she didn't look as fit and in as good condition as Monty was but she looks a lot better now and she has gained more confidence after having some family experiences, visiting grandparents [she loved all the extra attention!] going to the park [she was a bit scared at first, of the big open space] and general walks, and she was particularly brilliant at the dog show after only being with us a few days! We haven't let her off the lead yet, though. She really deserves to have a lovely, permanent home as we sadly can't give her that, through no fault of her own! She is a very happy girl and would fit in very well because of her easy-going nature and has a lot of love to give! Two greyhounds, and their fur, is too much for our poor son's allergies to cope with! He is feeling worse, daily, and hope someone will come along very soon! Sally and Chris Boore [Evie and Fraz]xxx

Beau is unfortunately coming back into the Trust after being homed in June this year. She has been homed to a family whose son has allergies. Despite already having another greyhound, it seems Beau is causing the son to react more. The family are very upset at having to return her and are happy to keep her until a home is found to save her any extra distress. She is house trained.

Congratulations! Poor Monty looks like he's being hen-pecked already LOL! Hopefully we'll see you all at the next walk, or maybe even Box Trees dog show on Sunday? Em x (and of course Kev, Sadie, Moo and the British Blues!)

Took Beau home yesterday for a trial to see how she gets on with Monty (Murphy) at home. So far, so good! We all went for a walk in the evening. She walks really nicely on the lead. Monty is being very tolerant and likes to keep trying out her duvet to make sure it's not better than his! She hasn't had any accidents indoors, so far, which is really good! Finger's crossed for the next few days!
