Hi,we get this too with our Evi! Whenever she goes into the garden she snaps at bees and also when she's off the lead in the field we let our girls run in. So far she's been lucky, or we've managed to grab her - but I'm afraid one day she will be quick enough to catch one and I'm worried about what would happen if she gets a sting in the mouth? Sorry to hijack Tom's page but I'm also anxious to get advice on this just in case!

Our Tom loves to chase bees!. We were worried the other night that he had been stung but thankfully not. Having bee loving plants in our garden the bees for some reason fly around on the patio, which is where our three greyhounds go for a wee etc.

Last year I bought a bottle of children's Benydryl just in case he had a severe reaction as last Summer He got stung on his foot. I have read on the Internet conflicting advice on the dosage to give them if required and that the children's bottle is half the strength of the other one.

I have read some good advice on how to treat stings but wondered if anyone can advise on this treatment.

We do watch our three when they are outside but being greyhounds they are so quick to react to a bee and I want to be able to deal with any issues.

Hello all

Tom has been at home with us for two weeks now with our other greyhounds Rose and James. I can't believe we will have three lovely greyhounds. Tom is certainly a food monster, haven't found any food he doesn't like. Mealtimes are certainly very lively. The last week he has settled in with us all and this afternoon has been enjoying his lie down in our sunny lounge. We are signing him up tommorrow so looking forward to his long and happy life with us all.

i love this little man he is such a nice natured boy and so cuddly, he loves everyone and adores a fuss and for a boy he really is very small and dainty and will hardly take up any room at all so what are you prospective owners out there waiting for?...go on and snap him up as he will be a wonderful greyhound to have around. xxxx

We had the pleasure of spending a day with Tom today at the show, and he is a real treasure, the photo does not show how handsome this little lad is, he is gorgeous. For a male he is such a little dot, he did so well meeting other breeds of dogs, he met Collie crosses, a German Shepherd cross, huskys, and many more, he did find the small fluffy dogs very interesting..,as was the teddy bear from Perrys Kids stand.. bless him.. He was brilliant in the car, quite happy to snuggle with our male grey no squabbles at all...It was such a strange environment for him to be in today, noise, people, smells, food, dogs, little people .. etc and he coped amazingly well, he enjoyed his picnic in the car with us, and munched his way through the gourmet rice dish that the lovely lady from Galloping Greyhound Gourmet gave him ! He was very good with my little boy and did not seem fazed at all with the constant hugging - he does like to give his kisses away and is really affectionate - all in all he is a wonderful boy and I really hope some one will fall in love with this little smasher soon, our little boy was so disappointed when he had to go back to the kennels, he thought Tom was his, so had a few tears on the way home... Best of luck 'Tom Tom' some one is going to have a fabulous companion if they choose you, lots of love the Taylor family xx

Tom is a gorgeous little boy and so friendly, he can't get enough fuss and his tail wags constantly, wish i could have one more. xxxx
