Hi All
well as predicted by you all the storm that we have waited for has failed to appear.she's settled so well, shy and loves being made a fuss of, likes other dogs (so far),doesn't like stairs and is a thief, need eyes in the back of your head she picks up everything hairbrushes, loaf of bread anything that's not nailed down ends up in her bed, will be joining you all at Sutton park and hopefully for a few classes of dog training (shifts permitting) look forward to meeting you all soon

Each Grey is different, my first Grey, Buddy was settled the moment he walked in, he was home and that was that! Our second, Jack, took ages to "really" settle, maybe 6 months before we really knew his personality...we thought he was shy (which he is a bit) and wondered if we were "too much" for him and he needed a quiet older person home, but he's a really cheeky, funny, loves life sort of dog and wouldn't be happy in a quiet home! I agree that having a calm first Grey can lead onto another, and in our case, maybe another! (shhh, that's a "I love Penny and she's not going back", conversation for next week!) Enjoy Sally, she sounds happy x

I agree, the storm probably will never come, so much so I went and got Grey no 2!! No1 is a beautiful calm laidback boy, No2 is a wee tiny bit of a challenge, but I put that down to her being a returnee to Daybreaks, unsettled for a while but such a bid sook that I adore her. Beware though, such a well behaved dog is most definately the quickest way to earn a lust for Grey no2 - Just ask fatharry (of Blue&Ben) & lindapaul (of Lola&Lena)....buddies at dog training and just like me didn't settle for 1 calm Grey!!
So lovely to hear you are enjoying you first grey experience. luv t reubes & blossom

I love reading how the greys get on when they are rehomed. We were very much like this with Lola our first. We kept waiting for the bubble to burst as she seemed just too good to be true having read all the material and watched the CD etc just like you. For us it just carried on like this and the storm just never happened. I can't believe we've had her almost 9 months now. Guess some of them are just like that... I wish you the very best of luck with Sally and I hope you have lots of fun and happy times with her.
Love from Linda & the girls (Lola & Lena) x

Hi all
just to say Sally has settled well being, our first time of living with a grey and we've read all the material and watched all the cd's and prepared ourselves for the worst, we know it's early days but she's eating well, slept all night without a peep and no accidents, walking lovely on the lead and sleeping just like the wife it took us ages to get her out of bed this morning, is this the calm before the storm who know but thanks to you all at daybreaks for your help advice and honesty, will put some photo's soon and look forward to meeting up at one of the walks or training
