This is so very sad but Fergal sounds like he was enjoying his retirement and was very much loved by you both. His last few months of life were probably the best months of his life and I only hope you can take comfort from this.X

we lost our boy fergal yesterday. he got kicked by a horse at my work. we rushed him to vets but there was nothing that could be done for him. he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. we're devestated & really miss him loads already!

hi! we thought we'd give you a quick update on fergal! hes still an absolute superstar & has definately stolen our hearts! hes super bright & learns things really quickly, you only have to explain it a couple of times & he does it on command! this week hes learnt to shake both paws & is starting to retrieve( but only when very excited!! ). hes off the lead in safe places & recall is almost 90 % there!! im now working at a stables & martin brings him up every evening. hes off the lead the entire time & follows you like a shadow!! even the horses dont faze him or the guinnifowl!! we left him without a muzzle on alone in the house for the 1st time this week & still he didnt let us down,no destruction, yay!! he truely is a very special boy & we both feel really grateful to have him in our lifes!! xxx

Hello! I'm sure you do miss Guinness, he was such a special boy, but rest assured you gave him the BEST retirement any grey could wish for. Fergal is a very lucky little man and it sounds as though Tinka has him well trained already. Don't forget photos for the Grapevine are compulsory!! Good luck with him! Love Ann and Will

hi ann & willow, we really miss guinness as he made such a big impression on us! in the 8 months we had him he learnt to sit, stay, lie down, recall, speak on command & shake hands! he was off the lead on walks, got on brill with the cats & chickens & martins parents adored him! it was such a shame to lose him when everything was going so perfect, but at least we know he had a fab retirement! we went to the beach, camping, did a charity walk, went to doggy playgroup, played in snow drifts & even entered a dog show & won a couple of ribbons! he was one in a million! now we have a gorgous new boy & all seems to be going brill at the mo (fingers crossed)! will keep you updated! love from kirsty, martin & fergal xx p.s tinka (cat) was weaving between fergals legs tonight!

Hello Kirsty and Martin, I did your home check before you had Guinness, I am so delighted you have decided to adopt someone else, Guinness was a very special boy and will not be forgotten, but it would be such a shame not to fill that greyhound shape hole in your lovely home with a new boy. Well done, love to Fergal too ... Love from Ann and Willow xx
